At this price of 2.55 diamond bank has potential of returning 15% if it gets to 3.0
12% @2.90

I need advice. Do you think its a good entry point or will the stock still drop in your opinion
Keep watching the market...

If a stock has recorded lower closing price for about 10 consecutive dates, why don't you wait till it stops dropping? That is, if you must invest in it. A stock that sold at N2.90 is not necessarily a better stock at N2.50k.

Just got some Info that a Japanese and South African joint firm, SUMITOMO RUBBER, which distributes DUNLOP, FALKEN and SUMITOMO TYRES brand in over 48 African countries, has teamed up with TYRE EXPRESS NIGERIA to introduce DUNLOP STORES across the country. ...their 1st target store is for VI LAGOS.
Pahaps this was the reason for the busy trade in the shares of DUNLOP today.

NOTE: This Info is strictly for informational purpose only and should not be interpreted to mean any kind of recommendation.
...for I currently do not own any share in the coy DUNLOP NIGERIA.
DD always advised pls.
The store in VI is already open at Akin Adesola Street.

What of the drop in both revenue and PAT as the audited result will soon be released?
Fcmb will be facing double issues very soon and I see the price dropping the more.
Q1 will bring the bank to its foot.I will take position before Q1 result.......
If that happens...then this will be the third year in a row i will benefit from this stock.....without any change in strategy or even thinking about it too much. Talk about cycles...

Stock Recommendation For This Week (February 19)
https://www.businesspost.ng/2018/02/19/stock-recommendation-week-february-19/
According to these guys, you should sell all your FCMG Coys stocks, Hold Agric stocks and Buy almost all the banks. Hmmm....absolute believers in such research recommendations will rush in.

Pause a while and ponder on directions FCMG coys are expected to take after about two years of battling with scarce foreign exchange, minor and massive Naira devaluation in 2016 and 2017 and other sundry issues. Compare this with what you expect them to do in view of FX availability, exchange rate stability in past 10 months and possibly in next 15, stats from NBS, change in leadership by those with major foreign holdings etc. and decide again if you want to go with those recommendations. If still confused, look at their quarterly figures in at least last 2 quarters and compare that with preceding 8 quarter. Your decision should be easier.

Also do similar analysis for Agric and the banks. For the banks the relevant rating is the CBN assigned Composite Risk Rating which is reviewed annually. Only problem is that its not in the public domain as most banks will protect this with their lives...

You can make do with the NPL Ratio but be smart enough to decide on an adjustment factor for whatever they publicly disclose as the NPLR.

Alright guys....

Bull, Bear or non of either in the market should not take up all the airtime. Truth is that there are always opportunities in the market, Bull or Bear. Just watch out for it people. In a bear market there will always be that odd stock that bucks the trend either due to M&A opps, divestiture, acquisition, very positive surprise earnings etc. Those are the opportunities we should seek at times like these and always.

If you have missed this bull run...no problem. It is bound to happen again sooner or later. No doubt about that. Besides, there is always a "once in a life time opportunity" showing up at exchanges across the world so you can take your pick over and over again. Not the same opportunity but different ones across time.

Last year alone, i easily recall Dangote Flourmill (N1 - >N6), MayBaker (N0.50 - >N5. infact i will pay close attention to this stock again), FBNH (N2.96 - >N8) and all this in a non bull market.

Bull runs can only happen once in a while, and sometimes creates bubbles in stock prices that will inevitable burst.

Let's become more seasoned by trying to make money in all market conditions.

What irks and still getting me disappointed is the way many of you have been misinterpreting my post. Why do you just want to misinterprete my post because you are already prejudiced? If somebody says something, you think he is pained by the bear.
Up till now, most of you still couldn't realise that I was merely condemning negative propaganda and inciting panic selling. Why? If anyone complained about deliberate propaganda to cause panic selling, you all feel the person is trapped and and the opportunists would begin to say that they did favour and warned people. Even if you warned people, everyone has his own trading style.
Dear and sincere members of the forum, can't you see my point? Please read my posts and make out my specific complaint against Oracle, whom I respect so much, and his bear followers.
You think I haven't seen bear b4? I witnessed 2008, and 2014. What's the big deal. I am not trading stocks for a living yet. I'm a very senior public servant. As a matter of fact, I'm still experimenting for a couple of years b4 my retirement, when I would start putting mouth watering amount of money.
Please let's do away with prejudice. One love.
Bro...Nobody appointed you in the first place. In a public and faceless forum, you must expect varied responses to your post. Nobody is here to mind your emotions. We are here to read all we can read, take the ones that make sense to us, and junk the rest where they rightly belong.

For those who did their own personal research and developed a "trade Strategy".....fear not. You only need to adjust the strategy a little to the left to left and a little to the right. You should be fine before September.

Spot on. I don't see any recovery for them pre March 2019. I am guessing after elections, there will be courage to push up/deregulate price of petrol. That could be a saving grace. I am also always wary of companies run by socialites.

Their business is being threatened by the local mattress cutting industry in Aba.

In Aba, they will cut mattress for you and you will be amazed. That is why you will see unconventionally sized mattresses.....As in Jumbo size for jumbo spouse. This you can't see in these listed firms.

So they threaten the revenue of Vitafoam.
Thanks...

So there is a thriving mattress manufacturing industry in Aba. I didnt know that. I thought Lagos was the hub with Sarafoam and Mouka foam as the main competition.

Why are they in Sierra Leone? I think that market may be too small and will deliver sub Nigeria ROE. Value destroyer.

Thanks!

I am not sure it has bottomed.....

This just sounds like the kind of things you hear in a bear market. Reminds me of 2008 and all the Bloomberg etc. analysts shouting that the market has bottomed ot. Meanwhile the very next day there will be a new low.
