oyesola: ...I will be offering some analysis on some potential stocks and indices that makes them hot buy or sell. The truth is that there is a "short time" bull that is coming. Only those that position themselves well will profit. As for me, I have missed some opportunities to make money but that is the beauty of the exchange. I will give you some expo for now:
Eternal: is a good buy at present price. I see this stock touching #10 by q2 earnings report GSK: I will show you why GSK is a good buy at this price and why its price will continue to fluctuate around 20-24 for a long time Honeywell :will outperform the market. Dividend yield may be small. Good stock to hold till for long term appreciation
Let the bears come! we are ready to mock-up!
Watch out for more expo! oyesola: ...the stock is heading to #15. I have watched the pattern closely and waited to pick some more units at #11 but no bear. If it touches #12 by this week , I will have no option than to pick some units at this price Hmmm... the way you are throwing about these figures..... |

wanaj0: Selling their Noddles division to Dufil. They are in need of CASH! They sure do need cash. They are planning a rights issue of 1 for 1 @ N2.75k as stated in their year end corporate action release. They have a bunch of stubborn shareholders. Not allowing new investors and not allowing the major existing one increase its stake. This rights issue will change the fundamental dynamics of the shareholding structure of that company. |

Politics › Re: Ibrahim Shekarau Declares 2019 Presidential Ambition by TLAX: 4:02pm On Apr 30, 2018 |
itsdumebi: @POLITICSNGR
A former governor of Kano state, Ibrahim Shekarau has formally declared his intention to contest for the 2019 presidential elections.
Shekarau seeks to contest under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former education minister pointed out that his decision was spurred by numerous clarion calls. He said;
"As you may be aware, for quite some time now, since, after the 2015 general elections, there have been various calls made by individuals and groups from many quarters, nationwide, urging my humble candidature for the contest of the presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the next general elections, due in 2019.
I strongly believe that the people are doing so out of their conviction of contentment and satisfaction based upon the modest successes recorded while I served as the Governor of Kano State (2003 to 2011), and also as a Minister of Education (July 2014 - May 2015).
In response to these calls, and in view of the seeming intricacies and the boundless complexities involved in such a national assignment, I have consulted across the geopolitical zones and different interest groups, who examined and appraised the issue and advised me accordingly.
I am pleased to say, based on these wide consultations, that I am better informed and convinced that participating in the democratic process of serving humanity goes beyond party affiliations/boundaries, and also beyond just winning an election.
I have therefore decided to accept the clarion calls, and will in due course and in accordance with the guidelines of my party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), offer my humble self for the contest of the presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during the forthcoming 2019 general elections," he said.

rebekah2011: I doubt this. I listened to the call Conference of both banks after the release of their Q4. You cannot but be impressed by the way Gtbank clearly outlined their direction for 2018. One other thing i observed was that the CEO, Segun, answered all the question be it Strategy, Finance, Risk Management etc. Other CEOs usually refer such questions to their CFO or CRO and act as quasi-moderators. To me it demonstrated that the guy has a grip on every facet of the business and understand the business and revenue flows. |

For example, when the market gets good news and goes down, it means the market is very weak; when it gets bad news and goes up, it means the market is healthy."

shigidi: What's your take on ucap sir. Mine Sir... -In view of structure of company business, nothing new is happening. -Pipeline of opportunities in their field is limited in view of more significant competitors. -Will remain a siphon route for the "group" Expect 2018 growth to be =<7%. -Will take significant bull market to shift price beyond current level. Still a student of candlestick patters but what i interpret is not encouraging. |

mendes911: GTB Q1 Result:
http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/21835_GUARANTY_TRUST_BANK_PLC._FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_APRIL_2018.pdf
Almost flat result. EPS moved from N1.47 to N1.58 mendes911: Not so good result (IMO). Foreign exchange revaluation saved face. 1. Interest income under pressure. A decline. Development in govt securities taking a toll. They must have to lend. They have capacity to reprice loans up but CBN is signalling preference for drop. 2. Interest expense under pressure. Deposits repriced to keep customers happy. Unusual position for them but only way to go. 3. EPS increased 7%. Not bad in this market especially in view of what to follow in next months. 4. Relative strength of share price over Zenith has remained at 1.6 over past few months but expected to decline soon as major foreign seller in Zenith completes sale of lot that has been ongoing for about 5 weeks and supply dries up a bit. In all not bad in view of overall economic and market conditions. Watch behaviour of its share price for what will trend in the industry over next 2 quarters or so. |

TLAX: "There is no correlation between dividends and a stock’s performance. In fact, the more a company pays in dividends, the weaker their posture, because they may have to pay high interest rates to replace funds paid out in dividends. It is naive to hold stocks that are going down because they pay dividends. If you are getting a 4 percent dividend and the stock goes down 25 percent, your net yield is a 21 percent loss."
Willian O'Neil in "Market Wizards: Interviews With Top Traders" by Jack D. Schwager RabbiDoracle: What if they don't need replacing the fund? Then that will be a different proposition. But i was trying to highlight the bolded to the guy who wants to do multiple trades, take dividend in all and retain his initial capital.. |
