There's no exact amount persay that should be in your sponsors account, because even applicants with well funded accounts get delayed.
As for Oakville, I have no idea about it as I'm still in Nigeria. |

babajust: Are u saying with a year program one can't eventually get a PR & PWP? Must it be a two years program? No.... If you take a one year prog you're entitiled to a one year PGWP, while a 2year prog qualifies you for a 3year PGWP. |

Hello Lucky12g
Its nice that you've been doing a little bit of research, but you should keep reading this thread, u can start from part5. From the looks of things you have very little idea of the entire process, so my advice is don't be in a hurry to apply, take your time to study and understand the process, so the moment you try, you'll get it.
If your intention is to remain in canada after your sudies, I'd advice you take a 2year prog, instead of 1year.
Unfortunately I have no idea what sheridan college is like.
For the visa application process, the 2.5m is a little low, you might need a sponsor/co sponsor. However the case may be you'll need to read the thread more for better understanding. |

@cocosmite
Your documents look realy good, but I don't see anything about your present employment status, if you do have a job, endeavour to include your work details (employment letter, payslips, study leave approval etc) and soa regardless how much is in it.
If not, try to do what u can to make up for the Gap.
I hope others will also contribute and make more amends where necessary. |

kfrosh: Dude!!! Don't be naive about the process ; take time out to decide which schools you would like to apply to and shortlist them. Look up on Google to know more about them and their recquirements. Apply to those in which you meet their requirements. Its better you apply to both competitive and less competitive schools. Now don't dream of going to Canada this year cos that's outrightly impossible . Start working against Winter intake or summer and use that time out to read lots of pages backwards. Good luck. Well said.. |

herkenorlar: House, I need clarification, I was promoted by November 2014 from environmental lab analyst to environmental technologist, can I use my old work Id before I got promoted?, or does it mean I should request for a new one with my current position before submitting my application, thanks Apparently you did not read the thread after you posted this question yesterday. Do request for a new workID with the new position if you can, don't forget to include your promotion letter in your app too. All the very best. |

Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 10:22am On May 08, 2015 |
dbabba: Yes I get you.
What I'm trying to clarify is something I saw on the CIC website about giving pgwp of not more than 8 months to programs that last for 8 months. I want to know if the college programs will be classified under 8 months or one year because the program duration stated by the college states one year but the actual duration is 8 months and CIC will issue a pgwp based on the calculation of when you received a notification of completion of studies which will not be up to one year after the start of the program.
Hope you get my question Well I get you now, if your college regards an eight month prog as a year, then a year it is, esp if its stated on ur loa as 1year certificate |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 9:34am On May 08, 2015 |
dbabba: Ok,
1. There are graduate programs in colleges that run for 2 terms (8 calendar months but one academic year) while some run for 3 terms (10-11 calendar moths). How long will a pgwp be granted for each program?
2. My course at Niagara college runs for 3 terms (september-june), if I go for another program that runs for 2 terms (september-april) immediately after my program at niagara college, will I qualify for the 3 year pgwp? Like I said earlier, 1 year prog = 1 year pgwp, 2 yrs prog = 3 yrs pgwp. So u either take 2yrs straight, or two 1year programs ... I hope this simple explanation answers your question. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 9:09am On May 08, 2015 |
dbabba: Will programs that run for one academic year (8 calendar months) be considered as one calendar year in giving the pgwp?
I'm going for a one year program (3 terms) and plan to obtain a pr status. Will I be qualified for the 3 years pgwp if I go for another course of two terms (8 months) or should I just apply for a one year pgwp immediately after my one year program and use that to apply for pr status? Sorry I don't understand your question, its confusing and I wouldn't want to answer wrongly. |

Lucky12g: Hello guys, I need an advice on this- i am applying for a year program at Canada. After the program , will i be able to get a work permit for me to work in Canada? or do i need to apply for a program that is more that a year before i can get a work permit? Thanks For a 1 year prog you're eligible for a 1year pgwp, for a 2yr prog you're eligible for a 3yr pgwp. You either take a straight 2year prog, or two 1year progs respectively. Pgwp - post graduate work permit |

hayqinsbFX: Ohammed199 simply apply to have admission in an advanced diploma.
These VOS don't like hearing bachelors... And you have a 4year gap since u did waec as u stated. Include ur present OND course as evidence of current situation...and why u want to switch to a better environment et al.
And they never ticked "trustful less documents" as u have called it... I tot I saw ur denial letter.. U can notarize documents dis time though if it gives u more confidence. Asin I was shocked as I saw the trustless whatever, that's why I said specifically asked that he list the properly... This is a serious issue and he can't go to his letter and list the reasons properly |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 8:41pm On May 07, 2015 |
By the trustless kini, I guess u mean " The document lacking authenticity reason"
If that's the case, you have to really really take your time before reapplying, if possible defer your admission till jan 2016 if you can so you can have enough time to tackle these reasons given.. You rushed and reapplied without properly addresing the reasons from your first app. When was your last education and what have you been doing since then? |

diamondsare4eva: You can only present an ID card of your present employer. When you leave an employer to go elsewhere, you are suppose to return all company items in your possession. He can go ahead and add employment letters from companies he worked with in the last few years and only include the ID card of present employer Its like u don't understand his question. He was recently promoted at work, with a new job description and role, and he asked whetr to use his old idcard that bears the former work description or request for a new idcard, with the new one.. And you asked him to use both idcards, which doesn't sound right... The point I tried to make which ure now getting wrong is that, he should request for a new one with his new job description and I further explained that the company will even collect the old one before giving the new idcard to him... He didn't switch jobs, he got promoted |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 6:13pm On May 07, 2015 |
diamondsare4eva: The choice is yours. When they ask for employment history in the last few years, they ask for details of what you did and if you have documents to support its good. One thing that is common between the Canadians and U.S is, they like enough evidence/proof to support anything.you can't go wrong in proper documentation if only you have it. But if you don't, make do with what is available. But presenting two IDcards from one work place is not right, even the office will call for the old one before issuing the new IDcard, so the promotion letter is more than enough proof to show work progression as well as his employment letter. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 6:02pm On May 07, 2015 |
diamondsare4eva: I will advise you use both. It shows progression in employment. You have been working for the past few years and attaching those documents will be a boost I'm not sure he should present both, his promotion letter would show the progression, he can request for a recent IDcard |
