The Radical Christian

Pope francis once described Jesus as a radical. I wondered why the religious leader would use a word associated with violence and terrorism ,as I thought for Jesus.I quickly checked the dictionary where I discovered a radical is one who advocate for change.

I had portrayed. Jesus as a nice, gentle ,quiet guy who obeyed authority . I was wrong. Jesus grew up in a society known for "an eye for an eye", Jesus preached forgiveness. The Pharisees avoided sinners like a plague. Jesus dined with tax collectors stressing that the doctor comes for patient . His craving for change led to opposition from the religious leaders ..Jesus was not dismayed by their wrath.He stood for what he believed in.

In our society, when tradition goes wrong, we choose to keep quiet and go to God in prayers.We forget that we can speak up against that tradition . If we don't speak IP, " OSU Caste "will continue.
Others are very quick to criticize our politician but fail to extend such critism to our religious leaders.t

She is also very wicked. Why didn't she die in peace and move on? Why guilt tripping your husband for life.?

Your partner is the safest person to run to in times of distress. It is easier to tolerate insults from an enemy than it is to tolerate a lovers silence. Avoiding her worsened the issue. Listening to her and grooming her in effective way of expressing herself could have lessened the issue

Both of them should have communicated better. It's not just about the wife here. It is about both of them.

" whatever makes you happy makes me happy" I said I'm my usual attempt to please her. I go as far as apologising even for little things that are nor my fault.I never disagreed with her no matter her irritating nagging attitude .I dread conflict at all cost while she was very quick to express her grievances.

When I noticed her complaints were becoming unbearable, I began to dread her. I worked longer hours and committed myself to various unnecessary church activities all in effort to come back late and sleep. It worked , we didn't have any conflict but we did not have a relationship either.we were like strangers sharing the same apartment.

One night she asked me
" Are you angry with me"?
"no" I quickly replied.
" Are you scared of me?" she reinstated
There was a terrible awkward moment .I was trapped.
How could I tell her I feared her nagging attitude and gravity of her explosion.
"no" I reinstated in a manner that suggested I was not ready for any talk. I silently asked God for forgiveness for telling such. white lie

I got to work the next day only to receive a call from y neighbour claiming my wife was rushed to the hospital.
I rushed to the hospital described only to be told she attempted suicide . I found it difficult to believe that. She was unconscious so I was unable to speak to her until two days. When she was able to speak,I was let into the ward. I could feel the smile in her face as she saw me.
" Tell me you did not attempt suicide" I asked her still trying not to believe the doctors claim.

" Thank you for being my support all these months.My boss has been subjecting me to all form of emotional and verbal abuse.Any attempt to confront him would lead to my dismissal so I swallow the hurt and pour it on you each day after work. It helped relieve me temporarily. You would apologise, pet me, cuddle me and make love to me. This helped me overcome all."

Many ofus have this belief that our denomination is the surest way to heaven. All denomination have great potentials and play important role in improving ones spiritual life. Each denomination focuses on certain values at the expense of others and are therefore more suited for certain individuals deficient in such value. .Some denomination focuses on dogmas and rules. others focus on ethical teaching. No one is superior to the other. They all serve same purpose in different ways. Each denomination promotes one virtue at the expense of the other. While some churches prefers to stabilize the world by keeping to ancient traditions, laws and order, others focuses on improving faith among members. If we examine very well, certain churches seems to attract certain kinds of elders or workers . Those who are fun- loving and opened minded and dislike rules make up the living faith church and Christ embassy. . The perfectionist who love arguing and seek to correct interpretation of biblical teachings flood Jehovah witness. Those who are reliable,responsible, rigid to standard principles while transacting business, not prone to certain outburst of anger, old fashioned, and cautious financially are workers in deeper life church or assembles of GOD. THOSE WHO ARE OBEDIENT to ancient traditions, FOLLOWS STRUCTURE, LOYALty to ancient tradition are catholics or Anglican(. this stereotype is not hundred percent accurate) Each church is like a drug to cure us of certain ailment.
