It so astonishing that some set of individuals on this thread have demystified themselves as gods. As someone who had a solid background in Philosophy asking questions doesn’t mean the person eliciting answers for what whatsoever questions asked is uninformed. Asking questions from diverse sources lead to absolute Knowledge and cut short all form of epistemological doubt. Socrates was regarded as dummy due to this persistent flair for eliciting answers to questions bothering on existence of humanity and some trivial perception of reality.
Socrates was condemned but invariably he was regarded as the wisest man In the then Greek Society. To Socrates he asserts “The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” “The unexamined life is not worth living.” “There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”

Conclusively if anyone on this thread inquiry about any sort of information if you can’t answer him or her you can politely skip through his or her post. Life is not a do or die affair! Let meditate on the categorical principle of Immanuel Kant which the golden rule is based on!

Thank you.

I read the link.

I also saw this message;

The earlier Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) route was closed in 2012 because evidence suggested that the route was open to abuse, and many on the route were unemployed or in low-skilled work. The Graduate route will have safeguards to ensure that we have control over who can access it, in order to prevent such abuse in the future. Students will only be eligible for the route if they can demonstrate that they have successfully passed their course at degree level or above, studied at a trusted institution, and complied with the terms of their student visa.

This is in line with my previous advice.
I wonder what ‘trusted institutions’ mean exactly.
trusted Institutions means those that have track record and do not give black market admission.

Sorry please, what about a 16 months course with start date of January 15th. By calculation, it should end May 2021. Can one proceed or abort this too? Thanks
summer starts from MAY! So if you finish your course during this time I think u are qualify to apply for PSW!

Good morning house, I secured an admission to teeside University for September 2019 which I have to defer to fall 2020. My issue now is that I have substantial part of my tuition amd maintenance fees in treasury bill which matures July2020,
Will it be fine to apply for my Visa close to the maturity of the TB investment or will i need to wait for the funds to mature and still count another 28 days before applying.
the funds is not readily available to you! the immigration law states it must be readily available within your reach limit and moreover the TB is not recognized!

Use the university/course ranking.
bro but sometimes those rankings are not true reflections of the best schools in UK because most Universities do manipulate their ways to the top bends. Just saying based on discussion I had with a tutor in one of the Universities, contrary opinions to this is allowed.

See dont waste your time and argue again.

I wont argue again too.

But I am very happy that everyone now have the opportunity
to decide what they want with informed decision. I dont want to here 'had I known'

That was the basis of this. ENLIGHTENMENT.

I need to stop people giving false hope not letting them know how many people come back to Nigeria with regret and mostly
unemployed.

@all. If Frapzkid had more stay period in the UK when he graduated, he would have Tier 2 visa and have many opportunities to settle
in the UK. Now, he is still planning back to come and study in the UK to obtain the PSW opportunity.

Not everyone and parent is opportuned to have this. That is why I advocate for you to make informed decision.

With your 2 year PSW, I see no reason why you wont get Tier 2 visa.

Follow me, Frapzkid and akinbo3 advise. Dont take advise from those who are already settled in the UK.

They dont know how it feels and how Nigeria is bad.

Remember your parents, families and freinds. Remember the poor in Nigeria.

If you are well settled and okay, you will have the capacity to empower people back home.

Dont make same mistake. Check other international forums too. Many people deferred to benefit from PSW

I wish you all the best.
then what? I hate when guys think they know it all!

I once applied for One 16months MSC in Bournemouth. But after d announcement of d 2-year permits.
K did d calculations and later opt for the 2-years MSC.

Bournemouth and Sheffield hallam University have lists of 2-years MSC programs with PLACEMENT year from Jan 2020-Jan 2022.

Don't risk your time and money. Target (after) summer 2021 for the work permit I.e choose a 2year course over 1year.
But for 2020 September h re good to go if u choose 1year course.
Hope this help someone...?
am just laughing at you! A one year marketable Course in the UK is better than a non marketable 3 years degree course! Choose wisely and not because of post study visa shun the sweet courses!

Don't get it wrong!
Jan 2020 doesn't ends in May 2021 summer
Mind you, your VISA ends in May 2021, not your Program!

You are expected to end ur course between DECEMBER 2020-JANUARY 2021.
the extra 4MONTH left on your Visa does means its ur course ending date. But maybe incase u av carry-over and can also work with it for 4 months.

Most Jan 2020 course ends Dec 2020 or Jan 2021. & never entitle to summer 2year permit. Don't b mislead..
it so amazing when some people don’t comprehend simple linguistic write ups. I pointed out so verifiable sources. To know if you are qualify or not! Check the end date on your offer letter! If you ending your studies during the summer or you still have a valid tier 4 visa you qualify to apply for PSV! It simple!

Not all. Check the end date of course as written in your CAS.

That is what will be used as determinant.

UK give four months extra in all Tier 4 visa. If you start your program in September, u will still be given
four extra months.
bro we are still saying the same thing! Jan2020 MSC least date for graduation is 2021 summer! So they are qualify to apply for it too!

FAQ

Will students who are already here be able to benefit?

Any student who successfully completes their degree-level course at a qualifying institution in the summer of 2021 or after will be eligible. This includes students who are already studying. Those whose Tier 4 leave expires before the route is introduced will not be eligible for it, however, most of these students will have had no expectation of benefitting from such a route when they applied to study in the UK. These students can still benefit from the generous provisions which allow them to switch in the skilled work route on favourable terms.

It depends on the number of year. If it is just one year program, the person is not eligible.
all Jan 2020 are eligible ! 1year MSC program in UK universities usually end in the summer period! Eg jan2020 to May 2021 coupled with 4 extra months! So far your course ends in summer of 2021 you are entitle to apply for the post study visa.

My course is not only rounding up in summer 2021 but winter 2020. Which is what i opted for. The 7months placement for my course was the bomb! And am happy i went for the January option which is longer.

Meanwhile i think we have some Bournemouth prospective students here than i expected. This is good. I Almost felt like a lone ranger riding to Bournemouth in January.
i was offered Admission but I didnt accept it! I opt in for Teesside University instead.

Yes Bournrmouth sent same mail to me yesterday. I believe they finally got better clarification from a more authoritative source. Earlier last month when i was applying for a 2 years msc program in Bournemouth which starts in January 2020, i mailed them as regards the 2 years post study, they simply said, The 2 years post study work visa applies for the 2020/21 academic year, which starts in September and hope this clarified matters. But then afteran update came from a more reliable blog and source they had to disseminate same to their prospective students like the Buckingham university did in their school site earlier enough. In all, This settles many controversies
it also includes those starting in JAN 2020 since they would be rounding off during summer of 2021!

On 11 September 2019 the UK Government announced the creation of a new immigration route which will enable international students to remain in the UK for two years after they have completed their studies.

Key Points:
The Graduate Immigration Route will be available to international students who have completed a degree at undergraduate level or above at a Higher Education Provider with a track record of compliance and who have a valid Tier 4 visa at the time of application.
Successful applicants on this route will be able to stay and work, or look for work, in the UK at any skill level for a maximum period of two years. Graduates will be able to switch into skilled work once they have found a suitable job.
The new route will be launched in the summer of 2021, meaning that any eligible student who graduates in the summer of 2021 or after will be able to apply for the route. This includes students who have already started their courses. Universities will also be able attract students starting in the 2020/21 academic year on the basis that they will benefit.
The launch of the route demonstrates the government’s support for our education sector, and commitment to the International Education Strategy, which sets out our ambition to increase education exports to £35 billion and the number of international higher education students to 600,000 by 2030.
The graduate immigration route will require a new application.
It will include the payment of a visa fee and the Immigration Health Surcharge. The exact fee will be set out in due course.
Those who graduate and whose Tier 4 leave expires before the route is introduced will not be eligible, however, most of these students will have had no expectation of benefitting from such a route when they applied to study in the UK.
