After ordering my notes and sending them a mail for the first time yesterday’ I was served a refusal letter this morning ‘ just woke up with my phone in my hand reading twitter trends when a message from Ircc popped up!!
It’s really painful .

purpose of visit and personal assets were the stated reasons but I own a business and applied for business management? and my business ‘ my dumping truck and even my personal car shd be an enough asset ?

well my school don’t defer applications ‘ what shd I do ? Wait or go again ?
Sorry about your refusal... Gather your strength, don't give up and reapply... It's good you've ordered your GCSM note, wait for it to land first before you fire back.

In the meantime, you can provide details on your school and work/business experiences and also documents submitted and explain the financial part of your application for many with experience to give their suggestions. This will help you to know what documents you may likely prepare for re-application before your gcms note drop.

Please gurus in the house I need help on schools I can get a PG diploma in Quality control/ laboratory analysis ,or Paint and coatings tech
I will also prefer the school is eligible for Mpower financing
The colleges I saw are not on Mpower list
Can anyone help please
I have Msc since 2009 but I have be working as quality control officer/Development chemist with a paint company
Or anybody with a better advice please
Thank you

If Mpower is the priority in your search, they are not many, so I'll advise you start from there. Write out the schools on Mpower list for Canada, and check one after the other (I think it's around 21 or so). They are all universities, just a single college in Ontario. You should be able to get 2 - 3 schools offering your desired program.

Good morning guys, last year November, I did an upfront medical which is going to expire this year, November. Unfortunately my application was declined.
I reapplied for my visa and I got a medical request again while my existing medical result is still valid. I called IOM today, they said I can't do another medicals when my existing medicals hasn't expired, that I should upload the slip to IRCC.
Anyone here that has had that issue? please help.

PS: I uploaded the medical result from last here with this new application and still managed to get a medical request.

Just keep sending the medical slip through webform and mails. So far your medical is still valid, they'll update it.

Good day gurus, pls someone should help me respond to this "should I click yes I will be needing work permit if I was granted teaching assistantship?
You don't need work permit for TA or RA
So, click NO.

You only need work permit if COOP or Internship is mandatory in your course, and your acceptance letter will indicate that.

Really sorry about the delay...
You can use gcmsnotes.com they usually deliver within 30 - 35 days.

You can as well mention the generic reason and documents you submit in this regard. Just for some insights on what actually went wrong.

By that time when you must have gained the "sanity" you talked about, you'll come here and write about visa application, people like @francisxbee and @Toceen2022 will say you are always derailing, and your advise is somehow and that you are always attacking people when all you are trying to do is simply tell them the truth and teach them "sanity"

ShowYoung
I don't have anything against you... This sanity or whatever you're talking about, it doesn't concern me.

My response to you was only based on you attacking CentennialGuy, while he was actually saying the very fact we all know. You even knew quite well that you twisted his comment as if he was encouraging fraudulent acts in visa application. You suggested to the person that asked the initial question, saying Canada is easier for family compare to UK. And that's what my comment to you was based on. I don't have anything against you... Las las, everybody go do what pleases them.

Peace!

All your concerns are on Proof of Funds and Home Ties.

If POF and and Home Ties make you think Canadian Visa is harder to get, then you are not playing by the rules and you are not ready to make your ways right.

You even mentioned here that people borrow money and put in account for 30 days (refer to a part of your post bolded above). This sounds unprofessional and dishonest of you, it corroborates the fact that you are not ready to mend your ways. In fact, this is an evidence that you are one of the people giving genuine Nigerians problems in getting Canadian visa. Your words encourage IRCC to make Nigerian processing time longer. In Poland, visa application and decision take 3 - 5 days despite backlogs. You are one of the people giving them evidence to treat Nigerians shabbily. Kindly desist from this kind of behaviour.

You even say I shouldn't base my conclusion on what I read here, who do you think is talking based on what I read here? Perhaps you don't know that around less than 1% of people applying for Canadian study visa are those coming on Nairaland.

Centennialguy gave some very valid points about UK process... You turn it upside-down on his head because you don't have valid points. His statement does not in anyway encourage any fraudulent thing. Even if UK VO sees that all the money you need (let say ₦20m) came in at once (lump sum), they don't care, so far it's in the account for 28 - 31 days... That's why majority of UK applicants borrow money.

Now you've really shown that you have little or no knowledge about the 2 countries compared. That's why some suggestions you give people here at times are somehow.

Thank you very much for your kind reply this is the exact reason why i came here to get more information from other people...
So someone advise i contact OCMT directly to find out if the school offer PGWP, below is their response to my question, but upon checking IRCC website, it says their school is although DLI registered but their program is not eligible for PGWP.

is it that IRCC hasn't updated their website or just some program are not eligible for PGWP while some is, according to OCMT, they said they offer paid internship to their PG International student.

can someone break this down into what OCMT is trying to say and what is on IRCC website as well, i would really appreciate.

I will just advise you to quit now... The content of that mail does not specifically refer to PGWP, rather, it's an internship and/or CO-OP, which may be part of requirements for your program.

When it comes to PGWP, it is only the government/IRCC that have the final say. In as much as you've seen NO on IRCC website, I'll advise not to push your luck. Gracias

Can 3.25 cgpa secure direct msc in canada

What is your last 2 years' GPA? (i.e 300 and 400 level GPA) if it is up to 3.5 (70%), you have a chance.
If it's a thesis based, securing a supervisor and writing a strong statement of purpose for grad school will get you in!

Good day Gurus.

Pls will N7m be enough to be presented as POF for a year course that cost 18k CAD? Living Expenses and miscellaneous included.

I'm self sponsored.

Or should I try and make it N8m?
NO is the answer.
You need nothing less than 11m
Tuition - $18,000
Living expenses - $10,000
Miscellaneous - $3000 above

Total - $21,000 x 335 (official rate for cad)
₦10,385,000

Don't forget that showing the exact amount needed as a self sponsor will likely not even fly.

Hello everyone, thank you for your good work here. Please I need some advice. My sister would like to pursue her dream in Canada, she graduated with Second Class "LOWER" in Law. Please is there any school you can recommend that will offer admission to her master's program? Please advise will be tangible at this moment. Thank you in advance.

The truth is, it's very difficult to get admission for master's program with 2.2 in Canada, but not impossible.
Some factors may be crucial in deciding her graduate application.
1. Her GPA in the last 2 years of bachelor’s degree
2. If she can secure a supervisor before applying.
3. How many years of work experience in the field.
4. Her Statement of Purpose to Grad School in her application.

If these things her well placed, she could get an offer.
If not, she can apply to a college for Post-Graduate Certificate or Post-Graduate Diploma related to Law.

All the best to her!

Heloo House...
How long does eligibility review last?
Sincerely, no specific answer to this question.
For some, It can be within few hours, days, weeks, months or even a year.

Yesterday, someone said he noticed his eligibility has commenced when he logged-in in the morning and got PPR around 4pm same day... I've also seen someone whose eligibility has started since October 2021 and no final decision yet.

So, no specific answer to that question.

My Sister got a refusal letter: I have applied for GCMS. Two reasons:
1. Financial status and Asset: she paid half of the tuition $10k and showed statement of account N3.5m. I guess these are not enough. For assets she showed landed asset with no valuation.
2. Family ties in Canada stronger than that of Nigeria: Her husband and son are not coming with her, so what other family ties. Yes she has 3 brothers and a sister in Canada.
Application Date 17th February, upfront medical, new portal, Nairobi visa office, refusal letter today.
I need suggestions while I wait for her GCMS.

Sorry about your sister's refusal, it's just temporary. She should refire after addressing the VO concerns

1. The amount shown was not reasonable enough. With half tuition at $10k, the remaining half will be in range of that ₦3.5m (which is $10k). That means no money for living expenses... So, let her show about ₦7m above.

2. The 3 brothers and a sister, are they citizens, PR or on temporary residence status?
For temporary status, it will be easy to address. But if they are PR or citizens, she'll need to spend more time explaining and developing more home ties that outweigh their permanent status!

Cheapest colleges in Canada are usually colleges in the Atlantic provinces, check New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and NewFoundland. NBCC, NSCC or College of the North Atlantic

GTBank naira master card limit has been increased to $200 USD (i.e $254 CAD)
For those paying for study permit application or school application within this range you can make use of it. Someone just paid for 235 CAD application fee now and it went through successfully.

gurus in the house i need help,

first academic year says $17,847.74 and its a two year course

then this first semester of the program (4) months of study: $9,317.47, Cdn i think the school fees payment are by semesters Conestoga college

total cost of the program on there site is $17,847.74

Estimated tuition fee for the first academic year of the program (8 months of study: $17,847.74, Cdn Estimated tuition fee for the first semester of the program (4) months of study: $9,317.47, Cdn Tuition amounts listed above are an ESTIMATE only and are expected to increase for the next academic year starting in the Fall semester. We expect that exact fees will be posted to the College website by June. Tuition varies by program. Please Note: This program cannot guarantee late arrivals. Please plan to attend your orientation and begin your studies on the first day of classes. Note: The College reserves the right to close registration when capacity in the program has been reached. It is important to follow all required steps and confirm your registration as soon as possible.
Sincerely, you still didn't mention what exactly you need help with.

If you're confused about the tuition, send a mail to your department. But I know that the total tuition for 2 years Conestoga college program is not $17,847, it's for the first year only. And any increment for the next academic year is usually within 2% to 4% maximum.

For the first semester, if you paid $9,317, then second semester will be $8,530.

Good morning all, for those who are planning ahead for Fall 2023, you may want to put schools in Quebec in your plan... Here is why:

Quèbec government to reduce international tuition fees from CAD20k to 3k/yr (domestic rate) starting Sept 2023

Eligible fields:

IT
Engineering
Health & social services
Education(early childhood edu)

Gonna be a game changer for int’l students.

This is a developing story, but I'm sure they are not like Naija government, they always do what they say....

Seem 1 year program no longer need another 1 year program all in the name of 3 years PGWP.

This should be a good news if true.
Noo, it is only for those whose PGWP expires between Jan - Dec 2022. Don't confuse it to be a regular occurrence, they've already specified the period. They didn't say it'll continue after December 2022.
The PGWP rules for program's duration still continue.
