Please does anyone traveling to Canada via airfrance require transit visa?
If you'll be having a layover only in France, you don't need a transit visa... But if it'll be in 2 European countries or in US you'll need it.

Oh Noo, I don't know any group, besides, I'm not going to Centennial college... I'm going to University of Victoria.

Ok? cry

Thank you very much and sorry for the terrible experience your uncle had. I guess I’ll just stick to Lufthansa grin

I booked Lufthansa too for my August trip.
I initially booked Airfrance but cancelled when I saw reviews online in addition to his.

Airfrance and Lufthansa, which would you recommend?

I have experience flying with the latter but I’m not sure about Airfrance. Any words about them?

I'll suggest you stick to Lufthansa all day...
My Uncle's experience with Airfrance were terrible... Some times it was extremely loud engine, another day was losing radar signal for more than 3 times, rescheduling flights when they were already seated preparing to board because of technical issues.

Seriously, I don't know if the information given from respective airlines' offices is contradicting or it's individual that wasn't clear about it.

Before I booked my flight, I contacted Egypt Air, Air France, Ethiopian Airline and Lufthansa and I was told I don't need any covid test if I'm fully vaccinated and I presented a verifiable vaccination card. Also, some recent travellers said they were not asked since they're fully vaccinated.

The contradicting info may be as a result of not fully explaining our vaccination status when we make enquiries, and those that were asked to present it may not be vaccinated or they took only the first jab.

Okay, thank you.

Please do you know where I can get cheap flights?

Currently seeing over 800k from Abuja to Toronto for flights in August.

You can check Kayak, Skyscanner and Google flights, but the issue will be how to pay in $$$. But you can try Egyptair, go to their office and you'll be allowed to pay in ₦₦₦, usually at 444 rate.

Hello everyone,

Please is a transit visa needed for a layover in Rome or Manchester uk?
For a single layover in any European country you do not need a transit visa, but if there is 2 layovers in Europe, you'll need a transit visa.

Hello everyone, for those that traveled recently is it still required to show your Covid vaccination card at the airport?
It's under must, especially if you're fully vaccinated, because that's the only way they'll know you are.
But for those that have not been vaccinated or received just a single dose, negative Covid19 test done within 24 hours before departure is compulsory before they can be allowed to board.

@toceen2022 yea i contacted my airline and they reconfirm what you just said....minors are totally dependent on the parent status as they cant make decisions on their own.... so been on work Visa exempts them from a return ticket As for the vaccine status they said i don't need PCR for the kids since am fully vaccinated ....... I can afford to change/lose our ticket due to he inability to fly.
i thought Canada still implements their restriction .."that all unvaccinated minors above 5 years show proof of pre testing" i had to further research this which states Pre-entry testing is not required
Pre-entry tests are not required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. You must still use ArriveCAN within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada.

Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children under the age of 12 are not required to provide a valid pre-entry test result, if they are accompanying a fully vaccinated adult.

Children who are less than 5 years old are not required to test, regardless of their vaccination status.

Hello,
This is great, thanks for sharing... That means a lot to restrictions have been lifted in recent times.

Do you mean minors on visitor's Visa do not need a return ticket to come to Canada?

If yes, please can you provide reference.

I'm currently in this fix now as Airlines insist all visitor's Visa holders need a return ticket irrespective of age.
Minors on visit visa accompanied by their parents on study or work visa don't need a return ticket. That's what I know.
A friend on SOWP that travelled recently with her child (1.5 years on visit visa) didn't book a return ticket and had no issue. She travelled with Lufthansa. She even confirmed from them before booking and that's what she was told.

I don't know if it's airline that decide if someone needs a return ticket or not, or it's CBSA. So make your findings. But my response to your question was based on my friend's experience.

Afrobrown2000

You do not need a covid test to board or enter Canada so far you're fully vaccinated. Your minors also do not need to be vaccinated to enter Canada as they are still under 12 years

Also, your work permit visa doesn't require a return ticket, one way ticket is all you need and this covers your minors as well.

I'm eligible.
With your experience, which mpower supported university would you say is easy to get admission?
The truth is, no easy admission anywhere.
Check and Follow the admission requirements as perfect as you can.

I can only say that Top-Universities (e.g University of Toronto, McMaster University etc) may be difficult to enter. You can search for list of Canadian universities ranking, and check from top 10 - 25 in the ranking, then see the ones supported by Mpower and apply. But the fact is that everything still depends on how solid your application is!

Maybe you know what I don't but your visa determines your length of stay on foreign soil and once it's expired, it's expected you leave irrespective of a valid study permit.

I'll still recommend you consult with the International Students' Office of your school though. It never hurts to find out.
For student visa, it only determines the amount of time you have to enter Canada, it's your study permit that will determine how long you can stay. For example, my visa shows I have from now till May 2023 to travel, which is one year. My program is actually 2 years and 8 months, but when I get to the port of entry, I'll be issued a study permit that'll last for 2.8 years... So, I don't need to leave by May 2023.
That's what he's explaining to you.

Bro thank you for replying me. My financial information is like this:
Estimated tuition cost = 14970
Estimated cost of living = 11100
Estimated additional expenses = 1200
Funding type = Family friend
Funding Amount = 3000
First mpower amount requested = 28000

This is how my financial information is, and I'm required to submit a 10000 bank statement. Ideally, how much should be in the bank statement I'm required to submit?

I think the $10,000 you're asked to provide is due to the third party account you're using. If it's your personal account, you'll need to provide exact amount you have as savings, and that would make your application simple. I'll suggest you start a new application and mention whatever savings you have, even if na ₦200,000 it'll be deducted from your total expense and Mpower will loan you the rest.

My bro, on the mpower website I saw that you need submit a bank statement of $10000 as one of the requirements for your loan approval, that was why I asked how much the bank statement you submitted contain. And I'm still asking, and this time I hope you don't shun me.
Leave that toxic guy I beg, lemme explain how Mpower works.

First of all, when filling out your information you'll need to mention or estimate your tuition for each year and also estimate your living expenses too. After that you'll be asked to state how much you have as savings in a column. The savings will be removed from the total amount shown as your tuition and living expenses. And the remaining is what Mpower will provide for you when your loan application is approved.

If you're seeing $10,000 as required amount for you to show in your bank statement, or your sponsor's bank statement, that means you've filled it in the session that asked about how much you've saved or how much your sponsor wants to spend for your education... Try to go back and properly input all details well. If you can't, cancel the application and start all over.

I received a mail from vfs that my passport is ready for collection since Last week Friday

Up till now I’ve not seen any update on DHL tracking website

I called them this morning, they said vfs has not handed it over

I don’t get what’s going on
Most times DHL pick up from VFS in the afternoon, your passport may not have been ready by that time. But since today is Monday, they must have picked it up.
I'm sure DHL would have updated it by now... Oftentimes, they update in the evening, especially the first day of picking up the package.

Urgent!!!
Hello everyone. I just got a mail to resend my bank statement for one year transaction.. I already spent some of the money I originally used in April. Can I refund it with more money and then send back to them?
I'll advise you not to refund it now nor send it like that. Your best bet is to send from May 2021 - April 2022, the last few days before you start spending it. That is still a one year statement. I guess what they actually need is not to know if the money is there, but to know the history of the account within the stipulated one year. Also, do it before we enter July, so that the month interval will still less than 2 months.

Good morning NLs

How much do I pay as a transmission fee for a family of three since we had our biometrics in Lagos but wish to send our passport to Abuja?

Do I pay 9,410 for each applicant or it is for the family VAC transmission? Please help

Thank you for your support

Hello,
You have to pay 9410 for each applicant.
If you pay for one alone, VFS will reject it.

Please any answer?
Enroute to Canada
If my flight will make stops in Istanbul and Frankfurt
Will I require to get a transit visa??

Yes, you'll need a transit visa if you have 2 layovers in Europe and Istanbul and Frankfurt are in Turkiye and Germany respectively. Avoid it. Also avoid any layover in US.
But if your layover is in just 1 European country, you're good to go.

Hello,
If your school is part of Mpower approved institutions, you have a greater chance of receiving the loan. Although, I've heard people saying diploma or certificate programs are not eligible, but personally, I've not come across anything of such in any of the Webinar I've attended... I'll advise you email Mpower and give details of your school and program, or use their chat option to get tips.

so with 11M above and IELTS score band 7.0 one is good to go for the NSE fast track visa processing

Well, the truth is we've seen applicants that submitted all these NSE requirements and still waited for months... While some did not and got decision within weeks.

Personally, it was the time IRCC used to send NSE request that I truly believe they are doing it. All these that Abuja office was saying in their Webinar... Well, I don't knw sha. But timelines I've seen here didn't convince me a bit about NSE.
