Bigdaddy001:Just Google MPower financing, and click on their main website, you'll get a lot of information from the site. Summary - they only support schools in US and Canada. If your school is not in the list, you can't apply. |

Minnieny:There's no specific amount I can mention, because it depends on 2 things 1. How much loan you receive from Mpower, and 2. The total amount needed for your study. Here is an example. If the total amount needed for your study (tuition and living expenses) is $30,000, and Mpower give you everything, then you may show some reasonable amount in your account, just to proof to the VO you have something too. Let's say about 1m or more We've seen fully funded/scholarship applicants that showed just 150k or 250k and got rejected. The main thing is, either loan or scholarship, prove to the VO you have substantial amount of money too. |

Hopeful2019:If you are self-sponsor, then you must show funds that will cover the 2 years of study, including living expenses. But if someone is sponsoring you, according to IRCC, they must show that funds are available for your first year of study and be able to show that you will have an equivalent amount for the subsequent year(s); either through their business, payslip, fixed-income, or other acceptable means. I have a pdf information on study permits' instruction designed by IRCC Dakar office. All these information are inside. You can reach out to me through mail, I'll forward it to you if you need it. 4 Likes |

Olacherry:They've already made a final decision and it's 100% PPR, they'll soon update it for you. At the same time, send mails to them, especially that of Abuja If you're resuming in May, go and book your ticket and start packing your load. Canada is calling you. 5 Likes |

Lezy:Hello, They are not specifically concerned if you paid or not, but logically, paying for a semester or full year means that your intention to study is legit and that could systematically convince the VO, which would increase chances of PPR if other things in your application are well placed. 2 Likes |

Adebamfem:First of all... Besides your tuition, you calculated $5700 for hostel and another $10,000 too. You've over-calculated your expenses. If your tuition is $11k, what you need next is $10k for living expenses. That is $21k for a year. Now, according to IRCC site, if your program is 2 year, you only need to show funds for the first year and state how the second year will be taken care of. Either by business, regular salary or other income. But you need to convince the VO with documents to support that. Concerning your Dad's account, it depends on how you give strong evidence of what your Dad does. You may pay for 1st semester and make sure you have some money in your account. If your Dad is into business, proof that there are steady money to take care of you especially if your program is 2 years. With that you may be lucky enough and satisfied the VO with your convincing statement and documents 2 Likes 1 Share |

VonVictor: The best option is to let your uncle send to your Dad, and your Dad send to you and do a gift deed. With a gift deed from your Dad you don't need to show his or your uncle's bank statement. Just your own bank statement with a gift deed from your Dad is enough. Now, in your SOP under POF section, explain in a tabular form the total cost of your study and living expenses, remove the fund you got and state that it'll remain so so amount. Show that the remaining amount + miscellaneous is in your bank statement. Tips - Don't just write it as a sentence, do it in a tabular form so that the officer will be able to see and caught his attention (it's very important) - make sure the money that'll be in your account as gift deed, covers at least the 5k cad left + 3k extra All the best 4 Likes |

Ilovemom: Sincerely, you've really tried with all you have done. But with my own little understanding, I'll suggest that coupled with advice you were given, try to build your personal account before you apply. The VO had concerns about your economic establishment to some degree. And truthfully, 200k naira is too small for your own personal account. Try to raise more money in the next 3-4 months before you apply. You may ask your uncle to send some money to your mom or siblings and they will send to you and do a gift deed. VO will be likely more satisfied if it's coming from parent or siblings, in addition to your sponsorship from your Uncle. The VO noticed every single funds (sponsorship and gift deed) you showed if from your Uncle and that may be overwhelming. If you think it'll be difficult to do it yourself, seek the help of gurus here, talk to Makano, Omiinii, Ketima and many others who have experience... You really need to get it right this time around and let it be your last application. All the best 1 Like |

lilangel20:How many years is your program? If 11,700 will be left and it's more than a year program, there will be concerns. Did you submit your bank statement, how much was available when you applied? What other proof of economic establishment did you show? These questions will help you to address the concerns before reapplying. 1 Like |

Semtu:Yes, what you heard is true... Fully vaccinated travellers don't need PCR test to enter Canada. But you must still fill the arrive can before you travel. Concerning boarding from Nigeria, it is not required as well... In fact, Nigeria government as well recently mentioned that fully vaccinated travelers don't need the test to enter Nigeria, so that means no airline should ask for it before boarding, only if you proof you're fully vaccinated. 2 Likes |

Did the letter from your supervisor state it's Full funding, and did it specify the amount? 2. adeyinkaadetunj:Common', don't just lay accusation without concrete facts. Applications receive final decision based on its complexity. The fact that someone receives decision early is just a baseless talk. Please, know what you say publicly, there are IRCC Staffs and recognized agents on social media and even here too, no one just know them. Don't make things more difficult for applicants from Nigeria or Africa in general. Did you even watch the video someone posted here yesterday about what Dr Christian presented to the house to parliament? 2 Likes |

Or, do you mean after 1 year program, you'll apply for another 1 year... Is that why you refer to it as graduate bundle certificate? Please, explain. |

Stburnish2: Since your passport expires next September, that means you have one and a half years, so you can't renew your passport. There is difference between Visa and Study Permit. Visa is what is stamped on your passport, and it has a 1 year validity, even if your program is 4 yrs and you have 5 yrs on your passport, your Visa is usually a year period. Study Permit is what is issued at the port of entry, and it is what covers the duration of your study, not the Visa. So, in your case, you don't need to worry about it. At the Port of Entry, you'll be issued your study permit for the duration of your program, and when it's 6 months to the passport expiration, you can renew it over there. 6 Likes |

elllalistic:If you're going for diploma, it may be difficult to convince the VO, because diploma is lower than your first degree. But if you're avoiding PGD/PGC because it's usually 1 year program, here is what you can do. Apply for a year PGD, by the time you're in your second term, put in another application for 1 year program. That'll make it 2 years of study and you'll be eligible for 2/3 years PGWP. There are some advantages in doing it this way. 1. Your POF to show is only for a year, since you're going for a year program. The 2nd program, you would be in Canada, so applying for study permit extension, you won't need much POF. 2. During your break, you can work full time (e.g. First term = Sept - Dec. Second term = Jan - April. So from May - August, you can work full time and safe towards your second year that'll start by September) Just consider your options and go for what ll benefit you. But you may be shooting yourself in the foot if it is diploma. 13 Likes 3 Shares |

ocpaschal:Lemme get you right... Your undergraduate degree is in political science and you've not had any work experience in disability studies field, like teaching or counselling? Well, if that is the case, I'll strongly advise not to go for the program. Such programs are highly professional and require strong background in courses like learning, child development (emotional, cognition and social), and a lot of psychological studies in education as prerequisite before doing a masters. It's almost impossible to secure admission without having such background. But many schools may accept years of experience in that field to cover for it. But, it doesn't affect the process of getting a PGWP either course or thesis base route. ocpaschal:Noo, I don't... You can Google it. SOP related to special education or child support care could be useful too. 1 Like |

ocpaschal:It's a very good course in developed countries. After graduation, you can work in all educational settings, community organizations and with government. If you even go for thesis route, it'll be great. There are many research institute and government spend millions on research as grants every year. University of Manitoba is one of the school that offers the program. 2 Likes |
