Hello guys, Please I need some clarifications. If a program has Co-op, is there any section of the visa application that need to be filled to indicate Co-op, or is it at the Port of Entry that CBSA will ask and include it in the study permit? Anyone please |

angel4sure:For your 300 and 400 level CGPA, just add it up and divide by 2, then convert it to percentage. So your cgpa for the last 2 years will be 86.8%. Seriously you have a great chance of receiving full funding. I've not received any funding yet, but by April the school will send it out to applicants. I don't know how much it'll be for now. 1 Like |

angel4sure:Hello, * First of all, it's late to start looking for a supervisor for a Master's program. I can categorically tell you that all applications for masters program for international students starting in September 2022 are closed, not to talk of getting a supervisor and applying. In fact, many have already received a response based on the application they've submitted since last year. So you can only start looking for a supervisor for September 2023 admission. # No 2. I think your cold mail is too lengthy, you don't need to talk about everything you've done, just focus on areas you share in common with the professor, and few outstanding things you've achieved that can quickly catch interest (A write up says cold mail should not exceed 100 - 150 words) but with details that are catchy. # No 3. Your CGPA percentage is not 65%. If you had 3.84/5 CGPA, then it is 76.8%. You can use CGPA conversion sites to see. Just Google "CGPA percentage conversion, select any of the search results, pick your grading scale which is 5.0 and input your CGPA (3.84) and click submit... You should calculate your last 2 years as well, if your last 2 years (e.g 300 and 400L) at the university is over 3.84, I'll suggest you mention it in your mail as well. #No 4. Getting a supervisor can really be challenging. But in your own case, I believe they didn't respond because it is too late, all professors and doctors would have already known students they want to work with by Fall and admissions would have already be given out. In my own case, I started mailing potential supervisors last year May/June 2021 for September 2022. It was just 3 that responded. The first person said she'll be retiring the year I planned to start, the second one said I should just apply and use his name, while the third one set a date with me and interview me through zoom. After that she agreed to supervise me and send my details to the department. I applied to the school around October last year, and I just received admission for Sept 2022 intake few days ago. Mind you my overall CGPA is 3.8/5, but last 2 years is 4.1 So, focus on next intake, September 2022 is not possible again. All the best. 13 Likes 3 Shares |

emonipoint: I understand this is a very difficult situation for you. But you just have to decide and choose what you think is best for you and what you may consider as less difficult option. The question you should ask yourself is, * which one of the 2 options you can forgo, and that will give you great opportunity in Canada. * how willing are you to go through the visa application process again, and what are your chances of getting approved, compare to the huge amount you've paid, which one can you let go. (Because you'll have a lot of explanation to do on why you rejected the first approval to go to another school) Personally, if I have the money, at this point I'll let go of Fanshawe, and stick to Nova Scotia. If not for any reason, it'll be because of the new Atlantic Program Pathway 5 Likes |

ami213:Well, I don't know how your friend got lucky about that. My facts are based on information I got from their website and I mailed the international office as well and got same response. Check the attached picture. So, I'll rather stick to this information than thinking of trying to get lucky. 1 Like

Bunmmy01:I'm not gonna even proceed with the application anymore, they should eat the application fee. I later found out that the tuition deposit of $1000 is non-refundable even if someone didn't get the visa at the first trial, and if one chose to defer to another intake, you'll have to pay a new deposit of same amount. It doesn't make any sense at all! 1 Like |

don10ky:No, applyboard don't charge for any services, just the application fee. When I applied to Fanshawe it was even free, although I don't know if it'll still be free. But I paid 100 CAD for Conestoga application fee. That's all. |

Anon123:Yes, I used an agent (applyboard) for the admission. But they never claim they'll handle the visa application. They only provide a space to upload the visa approval letter when I've received the visa. Since they serve as an intermediary between applicant and school. 1 Like |

Anon123:Thank you very much boss, I've applied to Fanshawe and Conestoga already... Fanshawe has given me admission, and Conestoga put me on waitlist. But I want to get a response from University of Manitoba and University of Victoria before proceeding with any college admission! |

Jenniangel:I applied and paid my application fee on Jan 18th, after that I got a mail that they'll ask an agent to get in touch with me (as per say applicant from Nigeria) within 10 working days. After about 20 working days one Nigeria agent called, it was even on Sunday morning and said "are you Mr so so, you applied to NSCC" I answered and she said they'll get in touch with me if they need anything. Since then, nothing. I was just wondering, how will they call on Sunday, they didn't even ask for my credentials, transcripts etc. The truth is if I had known that is their style of application, I won't even bother applying. I sent a mail to them last week asking for what's next, no response till now. |

Hello house, I know it's important for self sponsor applicant to show the source of POF. But for someone like me that owns a business, it's a registered business with CAC but the certificate I have is only "certificate of registration of business name" it does not show my personal name. My questions are: 1. Is this what Self-sponsor applicant who owns a personal business need to submit. (see example from picture) 2. As it doesn't show owners name, how will the Visa officer knows it belongs to the applicant? 3. Is there any other documents that need to be submitted to show I own the business? Thanks in anticipation to anyone who likes to respond to this.

makano:Boss, you mentioned Elder blood siblings... Does that means a younger blood sibling can't sponsor his elder brother, if both are mature persons. (for instance, a blood brother of 29 years sponsoring his 34 years old brother, possibly because he has more money) |
