I think the place above the incision is even where all the pain and action happens... I was surprised, the incision itself didn't even pain me as much as the place above it did.. And it was worse when I tried getting up after lying down for a long while. The pain will heal soon but the numbness will be there for a while... Mine still itches me once in a while till now (it even itched me today)

The doctors removed the plaster about 3 or 4 days after the cs and asked me to be rubbing spirit on it at least 3 times a day and when possible leave it to air..
My cleaning was just with rag and water at first. After about 4 days I started using soap and towel, I would tie wrapper around the incision and bath with soap and towel, then use water and towel to rinse off the soap and dry myself... the reason for the wrapper was so that water won't mistakenly touch the incision during rinsing..
2 weeks after the cs when the wound had dried up, I started bathing fully and pouring water on myself without the wrapper over the cut...

U gerrit, same way I started bathing(soap and towel) b4 I launch into full bath

I didn't bathe oo, my landlady was using towel to mob my body, except the area, but it still wasn't satisfying like bathing.
That dressing nah me remove am myself, for fresh air and cleaning so I didn't close it with plaster again.

The do has bn done self and period neva cum.
My only challenge now is my tummy dat remain very small to go down patapata(am sure it ll still go down wit tym) and how I wan increase my weight back because am nw very lean

Maybe you should go to the hospital just to rule out anything, i have had CS twice and I didn’t bleed for upto 7 days when my period came, it was just my normal flow and normal 4 days..
Your body could be different but you can just go to the hospital so your mind is settled

i used snuffle babe vapour rub... D menthol inside dis robb no strong at all, e b like vaseline wit lil touch of menthol u can hardly notice, so it didnt bother my boy at all.

it could b catarrh, silence catarh dt u wont c d mucous... Wen my baby had corona, he had dis catarh whereby i didnt c any mucous in his nkse but d sound he ws makin, i was sure der is catarh deep inside his nose... Wen e is feedin he mks catarh sound like k his nose was blocked but he doesn't snore wen e sleeps sha.. He sleep peacefully but wen he is awake dt snuffing sound was just too much as if e was snoring while awake... Mucus fluid hide itsef in my boy's windpipe... One day i vex put dis baby robb inside his nose n d snuffing stopped,( d rub is very mild not like naija own). Till today, no more snuffing.

Mothers pls help, my baby was diagnosed of having jaundice as at friday @2days, the test showed 7.2 % she was admitted and kept under the blue light, yesterday a rerun was done and it became 9.4 . Hmmmmm, my son had plenty jaundice too(his eye yellow gan) and I was jt praying the baby DR wnt check the result because I dnt want him to b admitted while they discharge me bt all I do was took him to alagbo(if U can do it sha oo) wia we r gvn agbo for bathing him, sumtin to mix in his powder and cream but not to drink.
I also did unripe pawpaw recipe for him(soak unripe pawpaw inside water and gvn him 1-2 babyspoon to drink)
Someone also suggest I cook waterleaf den use d water to rinse his body after bath and gv him to drink(I tried this once because grandma don't like hw d tin dey draw for body) BUT the first 2 work well for me

I really cant tell. I didnt even express or pump. Just direct sucking till like a week to the day i resumed work. I remember going to my tailor's place to take measurement for dedication cloth around January, had my baby in December, she was asking what i did. I just said nothing o. Hot water did not enter my mouth for one day. I just said if the hot food is not enough enough, then so be it. I cannot come and kill myself biko. I also know the exclusive breastfeeding stuff doesn't even work for everyone. But that was the only thing my stubborn self was willing to try.

Went for prenatal and saw this small baby gurl with ela all over her body.. kaii.. the mum said shes using a particular baby oil and cream for her.. told her to stop using it when she asked for what I was using for my son.
Please if you love your baby skin, just ignore all these baby oil and co , atleast for the first month and use original Ori as cream or original blue seal Vaseline.
I bought those baby oil too but grandma didn't let me use it, said original Ori (that she brought from the village) is better. Glad I accepted cos my baby skin is glowing, no ela no rashes , skin glowing. I haven't rub him any powder too. Bathing soap is agnesia baby soap. I feel like that's d only thing I've gotten right in this motherhood journey, e no easy

Get original Shea butter and be applying to ur nipples, it heals fast. When u're breastfeeding, make sure d whole areola area get into the baby's mouth. Babies bite on d nipples out of frustration if they re not getting enough milk.

Some ppl prefer using the plaster because of infection for instance, when mine was removed, a woman ask dat dey plaster her and she ll b coming for dressing every 2-3days. My plaster was removed and still not yt healed totally, intact I still feel pain in a syd of d CS area and abdomen start paining me too till I had to visit d hospital back. Visit Ur hospital back, dere shd b postnatal visitation for 6weeks or so. Always eat fruit too

No you didn’t. Absolutely refrain from massaging it or applying ice block. The cool water that runs over the lap during bath is ok. Massaging can lead to lump and subsequent abscess formation. That penta vaccine is painful but you don’t want to go through abscess drainage with your LO. It’s heart shattering, I kid you not!

Your already doing great. Be untop of the paracetamol administration. Don’t wait for the fever to pick up before you administer. Just do so every 6hrly at the most, carry, cuddle and soothe DD through it. Try not to shake the leg as much. That Penta is brutal honestly. Poor babies.

Pls is there anywhere they do Circumcision without pain in Lagos? That wan too is not for faint hearted.

My boy's circumcision was done today, he hasn't stop crying please I need tips on how to make him feel better

I gave my baby paracetamol after the circumcision and he didn't cry much. On the penis area, be applying coconut oil or olive oil till d ring fell off(was advised not to use engine oil at d hospital and I strictly didn't answer MIL wen she was saying she'll use it). I do apply pennicilin afta it fell off so dat it can heal fast.

The ring fell off within a week

My baby can suck more dan 1hr and ll still be crying so I have to introduce formula, I never get enough strength myself because I had malaria nd oda sickness after discharge wich makes me nt to eat well and pikin still dey suck me wella. We r on d 2nd container of Aptamil 800g plus serious sucking o so who cares about anybody eye.

I plan on doing exclusive for 3months b4 bt as plan change, I follow suit my dear. My baby started 125ml feeding bottle on d 5th day of delivery
