WES management when the first batch of 50 WAEC scratchcards (with different ref numbers, in seperated envelopes) arrive from Nigeria in one courier package.
'The WAEC strategy is failing. What do we do with these Nigerians?'

In recognition of meritorious readership Further recognition of the eldership status already bestowed upon you by IRCC Even more recognition and respect for a timeline barely up to two months In deference to your PPR With eager expectations of your COPR De facto assurance that you will graduate into the sister thread and share your landing gist And In obedience to Newmum's benevolent instruction I hereby adorn you with this medal. SolutionsGuy: Hahaha. . . If it makes you comfortable, go ahead and raise CSE. But I don't think this will have any effect on your application. CIC is fully aware that side hustles are commonplace in Nigeria, as reflected in some applicants' GCMS notes. They have also described some cash inflows into applicants account as "other sources probably from other businesses as commonly obtained in Nigeria ". Please go and read Joo2018 posts from this morning before you insist that your opinions are facts. My personal advice to anyone yet to submit application : be as transparent as possible. Leave nothing out. It will save you a lot of sleepless nights during the wait. You can never understand how unnerving this wait is until you join the league. Then imagine being worried about misrepresentation on top. Lol Anyway, life na per head. All na still advice. Congrats @melaninpopping, go and prosper. Hope say the cold no go make your melanin fade sha |

aworldcitizen: Praise to the Lord the Almighty the king of creation! Gather round people, it's PPR!
Below is my timeline Decision to travel August 2017. Family of 5 Visa office: initially London, moved to kyiv in August. IELTS: September 2017. My IELTS was written once and was perfect 9,8,8,8. Spouse IELTS 7.5,7.5,7,7 ECA: Masters Nov 2017 Entered the pool Dec. ITA January AOR January 17th 2018 Medical Passed Feb 11th 2018 IP1 Feb 12th 2018 IP2 Feb 27th 2018 Then silence. Not even a single ADR. Ordered 1st GCMS notes April 2018 everything looked perfect. Then complete silence. Ordered 2nd GCMS notes July 2018, this never arrived Wrote Raplh who confirmed Eligibility and Security not yet started. More silence, not even a ghost update October 3rd 2018 ordered 3rd set of GCMS notes. Arrived Nov. 1st. Still same as April notes. My file had not been touched since March 2018. Eligibility and Security not yet started. Wrote a 3rd mail to Ralph on Nov 4th who was gracious enough to respond (Ralph responds only once). He confirmed that my eligibility and security was not yet started and my application cannot be expedited. Nov 8th, like a dream ! my PPR!
Checked email and profile this morning and saw nothing.
By 2pm during my lunch break, I saw a mail notification, I wanted to ignore but decided to check.
I saw a mail from donotreply@cic.gc.ca that I have an update on my profile. I was excited, that finally I am getting a ghost update / adr.
I logged into my cic acct and saw my profile was updated. I was so excited, thinking it was just a ghost update and that finally my file was receiving attention. I wanted to log out but I felt the nudge to proceed and click on view complete application which I did.
Nothing seemed to have changed, my background check was still in process, I was about to log out again, when I felt that urge to scroll further down to the mail section.
I saw I had a new mail, titled request letter. I already concluded that it was an ADR for fresh bank statement. Love and behold, it was the almighty PPR.
I wasn't expecting it to come without an ADR for updated POF since my application had been pending for almost 10months. I lost appetite immediately, and was was just screaming. I couldn't share the news with my colleagues, so I just lied to them that my husband got a new job!.
I am immensely grateful to God Almighty who did not put me to shame. Delay is not denial. Though it tarries, it must surely come.
Thank you all for all the love and support.
Off to take my pictures and submit tomorrow.
This year has been so challenging. hubby and I lost our jobs, all our money tied at POF, we were feeding from Hand to mouth and struggled to pay school fees. Infact this September, we had to change their schools to a very cheap school.
God bless you all. Now we can move to a new thread. You prayed for PPR announcement on this thread and it has come to pass This is one of the most satisfactory PPR announcements for me, I pray it's victory and speed all the way forward for you. Double for all your troubles henceforth. |

Raalsalghul: It's a pity I just came unto this thread. For now let me just read to know the requirements and then proceed with the first step: getting an international passport followed by writing the ielts exam. So help me God. actually the second step should be evaluating your degree. Because this process (2-∞ months average) often takes longer than writing the exam (1-∞ months average). Lots of info on page one of this thread. ∞ is the symbol for infinity. |

Yakay: Hi, I have seen the various responses on this issue, but i want to look at this from another angle. I will go with option 3 tho... Don't you plan to bear you hubby's name in future, and also have other babies, what name do you hope to have on your canadian passport when you eventually get there...am just looking at a case in future where your kids have to prove they have same mother and then the mothers name on their birth certificates are different, or there could be other cases... I don't really know if am making sense, but i think you should do the publication now to clarify the surnames. whenever she changes her name then she'll do an affidavit of name change and have that document then. If she has not changed name yet what's she clarifying about having different names? Anyway all options na option. |

DrMrsCK: Oh! My daughter will be 3 next month. I guess an affidavit will suffice of the NPC waka fails Until she's 18 or so NPC will issue or modify birth certificate. I was issued a birth certificate when I was 9 or so. Got another one when I was 14 or 15. I'm not saying it's right just exemplifying that there's no wahala involved. Just do the right thing by taking the old one so they can substitute the records rather than fresh registration. Otherwise your one daughter will be registered as two births... |

DonTee07: Hmmmmmmm! So they went to cross-check what the applicant filled in his TRV application and the FSW own? Why didnt he/she maintain same employment history. Speechless. They don't need to 'go and crosscheck' the information is right there on the GCMS system. That's how UCI, biometric information are simply retrieved. And then routine information sharing with the others e.g US to confirm responses to stat questions. |

voguemum: Congratulations to all PPR recipient, we are right behind you. I am here once again with my question (s). I'm trying to prepare all documents and cross check that everything is in place for this journey. Then a thought crossed my mind about my baby's birth certificate because i recall very well the day i filled the form and the lady who issued it told me to change the name I filled in to my husband's surname rather than using my maiden name where mother's name was requested so she changedbtge form for me. So my question is 1. Being that all my credentials has my maiden name and I do not plan to do a change of name will a there be a red flag if my child's birth certificate has my first name but last name is my husband's?
2. Should I process another birth certificate for mh baby and maintain my maiden name?
3. Process a change of name certificate for myself to clarify the two surnames?
Wow!!! Seniors in the house, kudos to you guys. This process is not easy ooo. Compiling documents and making sure there are no lose ends is not an easy something. May the Almighty see us through. I don't think the name difference is such a big deal, but you might not sleep well at night if you submit with that discrepancy. The easiest and neatest way out is option one. Either process a new birth certificate (pretend like you don't have one already) or go to NPC to effect change on the old one (the right thing to do actually). |

Should I use my maiden name for for my WES ECA or my married name. Because I have my maiden names on all my credentials, so as to avoid any cancellation from WES. Or can one support the application with a copy of the marriage certificate? Use the name on your int. passport. send copies of your name change documents to WES when sending your certificate. |

Is there a way I can get any certified translator in Nigeria or can I do the translation myself and get it notarized? Thanks. Try contacting the Embassy, they might have a list of translators. |
