1. No I mean April 2019. Just got the job last month. I need the 6 months to be able to claim 3 years.

2. Ordered gcms twice. No issue flagged. Notes from CIO are fine. AVO has not touched my file since they received it in MAY!

3. My reason for worry is that AVO is frustrating. They don't touch your files for months. When they do; they may invite for interview (and I feel I may be interviewed cos my job was from 5 years ago and cash payment). Getting an interview date can take another 2 months or more. Even after the interview, PPR may take months to come.

Already my medicals expires in February and I'm likely to redo. My IELTS expires in June.

If by March AVO is still as they are, i intend withdrawing my application and reapplying with more recent work experiences which I can back up with evidence of salary via bank.

AVO is not an easy place to be.

Did you have three years experience at time of ITA, and did you tender reference letters / other evidence for this employment at point of AOR?

**Inputs please. Considering WITHDRAWING my current application.**

Congratulations to all PPR and ITA recipients. It's been awhile. I decided to take a break to avoid heartbreaks. AVO.

My question...

I have a previous work experience of 2yrs and 6months in a certain NOC.

In one of my current employments, I'll be 6months in April (different NOC from the previous).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand both NOCs can be combined to claim 3years experienc. Must the second one be a minimum of 1year?

I assume you mean April 2018? When was your aor? Was the second employment up to six months at time of ita?

Was this issue flagged in your gcms notes ?

I believe we've already concluded that noc can be combined so long as it's O A or B but need to understand your reason for being worried.

do i need to inform CIC if i change jobs after AOR?

I don't know if you need to, but I know how you can inform them of this change :

You may use this form if You wish to report important changes, such as a change in contact information, births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in employment, withdrawal of application, refund request, or urgent requests.

I didn't evaluate my 1st degree and I wasn't awarded points for it. My question is this, should I include the details under "Study and Language " or under "Personal History " .Kindly respond.

Put under personal history only if it was within the last 10 years.

Can someone share how they manage to carry C$10k through Lagos airport?

There should be landing stories with details on the thread. But to save the hassle, why not just carry $9,900? By the way CAD$10k should be okay since it's not up to US$9,900.

Na guess I dey guess sha, I actually don't know.

I get you Salford , I even went on to do some research on google .. I was trying to do some comparison with our situation right now Lagos , am very sure it’s affecting our mood as well may be we also have the SAD syndrome that occurs during “ember” months ...

Maybe that's why Abuja people are happier smiley And maybe that's why customer service officers in banks are so grouchy. Marketers are stressed but at least they see the sun grin grin grin

Omo eh, I have never read a more cock and bull story than this. Who advised this one?

it was a very interesting one though. I enjoyed the tales by moonlight. Unfortunate that she wasn't able to keep her facts straight, I guess there were too many angles to cover.

Good day all, nice job you guys are doing here.

Please I have Professional Certificates such as ICAN and ACCA Diploma in IFRS.
and My highest academics qualification is Masters.

I will like to know whether it is necessary to use all these certificates for WES evaluation or I can just restrict myself to the Master's Degree?

I don't know whether professional certification can earn extra points even after having a Master.

NOTE: Please kindly give a direct answer and do not refer me to page 1 of this tread cos I didn't get see the answer there.

Thank you

I'm more curious about how he got ITA. He's 47 years.
He should have just submitted a new application, why waste time in court?

They refunded him nau so he had money to enrich immigration lawyer. As for age it could be a PNP or job offer something or he's already living in the Canada.

ITA clinchers...... pls read this and fear God...don't rush to submit and get AOR...patience is a virtue....let your application match the checklist so that even Accra will have nothing on you.

This gentleman updated expired passport (imagine such a small issue)...and application denied...no ADR! and the decision was upheld.

So my application (post AOR) will be a year old in about 2 weeks. No longer anxious , just indifferent now.

I sent an email two months ago to the minister for immigration but it didnt help. Just got a generic email about my security check not started. Same thing as GCSM notes. Not even going to bother with that one again. Done 3 already.

Makes me wonder if contacting Goodale will change anything. Please can someone share his correct email? Let me give it a shot so i know i have tried all avenues.

I pray it doesn't go beyond a year. Great how you've been able to move onto indifference. Which type of security check not started is this one? Abi you're AVO crew?

This should be his email ralph.goodale@parl.gc.ca. Kpele, it will still end in praise.

Despite when there exist a different of opinions, they find a way around it amicably.
Suppose "tojued" abuse me I go leave her comment follow "Ontario sugar"(lol), if ontario too show color I move to ifeoma, and so on, instead of just displaying this stunts on public platform.

hello my people, I recently invested in tbills but the confirmation letter I got in my mail was quite different from the ones I got from my former investments. this last one has no GTB logo neither does it have any authorizing signature. The other ones has logo and two signatures. Who has experienced this abeg, because I'm thinking of going to tear for them tomorrow. I'm of the opinion IRCC will not accept it. It was not even an attached, I think it was typed.

If I were in your shoes I'd request for as formal a document as possible.

Its advise nah...more reason we tell peeps to read up. Honestly, no harm in reading and alot to gain.

Imagine telling someone to go borrow POF and do Gift deed.

If upon PPR, update SOA is requested and he/she has already returned the money nkon?

I'm on strong footing to update my score and get ITA in the next draw but I want to make sure my POF is complete for I and my battalion before I update.

I hope peeps will read up diligently.

You're even talking about ppr. When the person gets to Canada them go stay under bridge? That place is very expensive.

That's sad. The risk of deportation should be scarier than IELTS

Its just generally easier to get a us visa and takes less effort. No need to read page one, research or follow any stringent process. All you need is money.

i did. I am just confused. page i says that we should evaluate our highest qualification. PGDE is now my highest qualification. I sent that to ICES now i am been requested to send in my BSC so i can claim more points for two or more certificate.

Cant i request for the first report and ask them to include my BSC or make a fresh application including both results. i.e pgde and bsc

Options for degree during ee application are
Phd
Masters or professional
Two or more
Bsc
Two years
One year

With masters or PhD you only need to evaluate masters or PhD and then pick those options.

Evaluating only your PGD will give you one year equivalence. You can use the crs tool to check what score this will give you. That's why you need to evaluate two or more degrees to claim points for two or more degrees.

Don't just read page one, follow the links there. Read other's stories and frequently asked questions.

Hello guys.
Pls i need answer to something dat has been borthering me. I found out im expecting a baby before receiving ppr. Have gotten copr now n will b landing sk on d 6th. Pregnancy will barely 3months. Do i still need to inform cic about it or its ok for me to land?

Just do some research so you know the minimum number of hours you'll need to work to get employment insurance (equivalent of our mat leave pay) when you have your baby. The payments will definitely come in handy... I think 50% of your salary for one year or 33% for 18 months.
