yes, received ita in september. was about to submit today when i realised ielts expired 3rd of November. Declined ITA now. Back in the pool. He will do ielts on 1st December. Meanwhile our police certificates will expire 7th december so we will need to redo them too and i will loose 5 points in 2 weeks because of a change in my age

God knows best.
All things work together, don't beat yourself for the oversight.
I agree that 442 is a decent score and if I were in your shoes I would decline so hubby can rewrite déc. 1. He should try to exceed the 6666 expectation so there's extra cushion for year end / new year crs Cut-off rise.
Not really a fan of unaccompanying spouse unless water don over pass garri.

I'm just thinking because I don't know if they'll accept qualification obtained in 2019 for experience as old as over 10yrs?
I don't really know much about PNP..
But I think your line of thought is very solid. I would have to research this angle to be sure the new qualification will be valid.

Even if she gets the diploma now, should'nt the date qualified to practice precede work experience?
See angle. Thanks for this didn't reason in this direction at all. Somebody that started this work since like 2005, all that experience will just waste?

IMHO, the social work NOC seems simpler.

However, I do get the challenge with getting the qualifications needed.

My concern with the farm NOC plan is that PNP applications pass to 2 levels of scrutiny: SINP and IRCC. At some point during the application, she must put in the record of the social work or risk misrepresenting. How will she then list it, as a "side hustle"? If she can provide a good explanation, good!
Hahahaha. N'a the farm work be side hustle o. Good point there.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Tojued: 8:05pm On Nov 12, 2018
Ifeoma77:
What if she uses the main NOC and explains that it's not regulated in Nigeria and that the on-the-job training she has received, is sufficient for her to practice in Nigeria and trumps formal school education?
Or, she can start cleaning up her bookkeeping for the farm.
Personally, I prefer the social worker NOC since she has digital footprint in that career
Not for pnp, to be a social worker you must have studied social work and done field work or whatever they call it. They don't even accept sociology, must be social work.

Yes we'll start keeping proper farm records. Worst case scenario we wait for one year to have enough proof before applying.

Btec Social worker diploma Will cost nothing less than 300k and I'm not even sure there's a qualified centre in Nigeria. We're just clutching at straws.

Thanks dear.

Mamaroon:
if farming NOC is 8252 or 0831 no professional status/licence is needed for SAS PNP...if she has plenty money she can go for the farm owner category/path.

Otherwise, for Occupation in Demand or SAS EE...she needs at least 1 yr post secondary school diploma or certificate for both social worker and farming.....it can be education...training or apprenticeship....depending on age and IELTS scores, she may still get the 60 points

Seems easier to stick with farming...BUT i think her NOC for Federal EE and SAS PNP need to be in sync...she needs to be in the EE pool already...it's one of the fields to update on SINP site...i may be wrong though but she may need to do the 1yr training....OR is there anyway to show she has 1 yr training already...may not from a Uni.

the downside of social worker NOC is the SINP professional status or licence required.
Thanks for responding.

She qualifiés as 0831 but no money for farm owner. She has post sec. edu.

Maybe we will stick with 0831 for one year. By then her documentation will be sound.

We're in process of creating profile... Still baby steps ielts and eca in process. Though if we're site of this sinp for instance there's no need to rewrite ielts or evaluate two degrees so less stress.

Pardon my ignorance. Is SINP that strict on the education requirements?
Everybody everywhere is strict with social workers. You must evaluate with their professional organisation to be considered one. Prof. Organisation says you must have education in social work.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Tojued: 4:00pm On Nov 12, 2018
My people, please huddle round let's reason together.

I have someone who needs PNP because of age.

Now, her main NOC (social worker) is currently on SINP list, but she doesn't have the requisite education so isn't really qualified. She's willing to do a diploma to gain the qualification, but will take a bit of time and you know how these occupation in demand lists change.

However, she owns a farm which she has been running as a side hustle all these years. And farm manager is also on the demand list. She neatly ticks off all the requirements for this NOC in real life.

Two problems involved on paper:
1. She has not been tidy with documentations all these years. Even sales book, she no get lol.
2. She is very well known in that her main NOC. Google her name and her experience there will pop up. Google her particular field of expertise and her name is also likely to pop up.

I'm thinking we should try getting nomination with farm manager, but if nomination has not arrived as at when we complete our diploma, we recreate profile/switch NOC to social worker. Is this making sense?

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

Just hang in there sha, one good thing is that time flies, August was just like yesterday and look it's already 3 months.

Anyways,
I'm expecting some PPR announcements tomorrow. All the PPR 'rains' we've had happened on Tuesday mornings.
My theory is; the VOs come to work on Monday well rested from a weekend of eating, sleeping and bow-chica-waw-waw
In their good mood, they release the prisoners
But today is Remembrance Day sha. Public holiday for some provinces.

Nairaland is past time for majority of Nigerians grin grin grin
Not really. Nairaland is a pastime for those of us on nairaland. And the population figures of membership are exaggerated because the regular nairalander has 2 accounts while the professionals have at least five.

I would say the average Nigerian does not know Nairaland. At most the name will sound familiar for those who are online a lot.

Understand the process for both ICES and WES, do this by carrying out a little research and reading up.

Take biro and paper, write down likely costs you'll encounter while using both. Also compare the time frames.

Make a rational decision on which one you will use.

Jasmine17:
You still dont get it, do you?

You are going to spend close to 600CAD in sorting, phone calls, tfare, verification payments, etc, by the time you are through with WES.
Drop the argument. Na only advice you dey advice, taste of the pudding is in the eating and everyone is liable for their decisions.

The only person I've advised to use WES since WAEC saga is a very special case. Husband and wife ND&HND both from same uni. In this case WES was genuinely cheaper... cos all the sorting will be done same time, courier for both verification and WAEC sent together... then imagine all 4 certs will be $800 with ICES.

Any other person who has options and decides to use WES because of cost, it's a personal decision! Maybe their own case will be different.

Hi
I'm not saying you are wrong but letters from clients are also needed..it says so on CIC website "documentation from third party"
documentation from third party sounds more like contract letters to me than (recommendation) letters. I think those letters should only be used when there are no existing contract documentation.

So what can I do? I just got married in May. My IELTS results is S-7, R-8.5, W-7.5, L-8. I have gotten my report from WES for B.Sc.. I also have 3 years work experience and I am 28 which automatically makes me the PA. But hubby's highest qualification is WAEC and his IELTS is extremely bad...Our CRS as a couple is 413 but if I apply as a Single lady, it is 435. We were contemplating me applying as a single lady. Please can anyone advise on what we can do?
Thanks
Only advice I have for now is don't apply as single when you're married.

Kids with dual passport, which passport did u use?
If I'm not mistaken, both. There's room to upload more than one valid passport. Also room to indicate additional citizenships.

Then at point of ppr you can send both and they decide which to use.

yeah.. been trying to see if i could get another format
finding it hard to get one online that will capture the necessary details
Why are you looking for reference letter online?

Ielts writing task 1

Draft different reference letters to 'whom it may concern' stating the following information
Your name
Dates of employment with organisation
Salary
Job title and duties
Indicate whether employment was part or full time
(get remaining needed info from IRCC website)

Note: Letters must be different in format and other content.

Anyway, page one is calling your name. The longer you refuse to visit that page, the more it will seem as if simple things are difficult.
