I do not think CIC re-validates marriage certificates, most embassies don't. That is actually the purpose of registering your marriage on that portal, I guess Nigeria just woke up to creating that portal so s to have that data .

A contact at my local registry told that embassies verify certificates all the time. Whether he was lying I don't know.

From my findings, you have to upgrade to a course-by-course evaluation if you want to study... Not sure about jobs.

Thank you for the clarification.

Normally the upgrade can be built on the regular evaluation, which is why some people evaluate all their degrees ab initio. So that if they ever need course-by-course in future, an upgrade will suffice rather than looking for how to obtain transcript when you've already relocated to the Canada.

For some jobs (especially regulated) evaluation is needed and there are even rules in place... what body can be used etc.

This particular situation is sha special since the person has studies in the French. Normally nobody cares about your certification in a second language all they care about is that you can work proficiently in said language. However for some specialised jobs the said certification/studies will be required.

I don't know much. But imagine for instance if translation is regulated or if he/she wants to join a professional organisation for translators or challenge exams or take further studies to contemporise their knowledge... an evaluation of the Bachelor's degree may be needed.

It was WES, way back in 2010/2011...
The school had refused to append certain stamps and signatures on outbound documents which made credentials easily forged. The Alumni fixed it...

Maybe the one you're referring to is a different occurrence.

Mehn this is something I saw in August or so, when I did research on all ECA bodies after WES added WAEC.

Anyway most important thing is that UNIPORT alumni can evaluate with whomsoever they like.

yea will do this with the guidelines posted earlier, but the person I quoted was saying that once you have a foreign certificate the WAEC is waived, so I wanted to know how authentic that was. Thanks a lot though.

It's the opposite. Once you have a Nigerian qualification the WAEC wahala is required.

You can’t use Immigration ECA to get a job, not even to further your education.
Grab the best points you can with your MSc.

Are you sure of this? please reconfirm your facts or be more specific.

Please what's the process like? Do I need to get a contact or I can simply go there

Just drive or stroll to the gate. They'll ask where you're going you'll tell them forensics. They'll say why you'll say pcc. Then They'll either direct you or take you to your destination.

Engrs in the house, Pls asking for a friend. He has a Bsc degree from Uniben also a master's degree from The institute of Petroleum Studies (IPS) Port Harcourt. My question is can he verify the masters using ICES or jejely verify his Bsc.? ( He wants to be sure masters from IPS is recognised) He doesn't really need the added points for masters. He isn't the PA.

Didn't ices explicitly state that they don't evaluate degrees from uniport?

Good morning Guys

So I couldn't find a sample reference letter on the thread from a client for self employed candidates.

The clients I approached asked me to draft the letter then they can sign etc

I'm getting 5 letters and was thinking it would be weird to have them all sound the same.

Is there a particular format I should use?

Whatever you do please don't print the letters yourself. Send soft copies to the various clients let them print themselves before signing.

Thank you for your response. Please how can I go about this?

Blackbuddy:

Hi, there is no published phone number for the Case Processing Centre in Sydney, NS but you can try the Call Centre 1-888-242-2100 for those who are in Canada. Others outside can try contacting the Call Centre +1 613 944 4000 (for an agent: use options 1,2,1,2,1 ...then 0 to skip the recorded message) from outside Canada.

I don't know if you fall under this category but for those who applied for PR more recently (EE/PNP) you can follow the following steps after landing to know the status of your PR card processing. Do note you only have 5 attempts in one day.

1) Login to CIC account.
2) Go to section "Link an existing application to this account". Click on "Link application to this account" button.
3) Select category as PR Card
4) Select "Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name"
5) Fill required details (please make sure of capital, small, comma etc.)
6) Provide landing date in "Date you became a permanent resident"
7) Click on 'search my application'
cool after application searched, make sure you submit application else it not link

Once you have successfully linked your application it will show you as "Submitted" status and once it is ready for dispatch it will go into "Approved" status.

The steps above were copied from a post at canadavisa forum, hope it helps.

I went to children's practice on Friday for my medicals. There were about 10 gate crashers. They gave them seats outside to wait. About 11am they finished with those of us that booked and faced the gate crashers. By the time we were leaving around 2pm they has finished attending to all those gate crashers
I guess that's worth a try
