Hello guys!
I made my final application for the express entry on October 9th, paid all the fees.
There have been no updates whatsoever till now since i got AOR, is this normal?
I write this because my nerves are beginning to show themselves.
I know its not even a month yet but I was hoping on getting even an update.
Relax, you're in good company. Your fellow Oct. 9th haven't received any updates either: https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-e-apr-tracker-express-entry-permanent-residency-application.

All the best!

Solely on me? You didn't get a supervisor who wanted you to be going to Ikorodu every two weeks or later abandoned you. Anyway, the best case scenario he finishes in May or June 2019, certificate is available in January 2020, if his name makes the graduation list. Unless he gets some sort of a completion document, he waits. Am I right on this one? I don't want people's mind to be fixed on some unrealistic timeline. It is not one year for PGD or masters if you consider the project and graduate times.
I agree with you that anything can happen, but this year just seems exceptional because of the three semesters that happened, and exams will be concluded in December. The current speed made me encourage people to join up. Hopefully elections won't slow things down.

Even from now till January 2020 is still approximately one year. We don already enter November. Better than twiddling thumbs waiting for CRS cutoff to come down.

Tojued,

I agree with you completely. This is not the first time I'll be using NL for an important process like this. Moving from PH to Lagos was a major one and I saved hundreds of thousands of Naira by reading threads here on NL. In the past few weeks, I've saved some money going through the messages here! I'm sure I missed the conversation about the WES at some point.

Thanks for the constructive feedback!
You still saved 44k and will save more in future. I don't think there's been any one single conversation, just one of those things you pick up by following or learn when someone asks a question.

It's okay not to be as obsessed with this thread/Candavisaforum/quora/anything canada online as some of us are grin

I went to children's practice on Friday for my medicals. There were about 10 gate crashers. They gave them seats outside to wait. About 11am they finished with those of us that booked and faced the gate crashers. By the time we were leaving around 2pm they has finished attending to all those gate crashers
I guess that's worth a try
Thanks for sharing.

The thing Pain me ehn! But on a brighter side, I just saved another 44k because I was planning to make such payment for my Madam and Sister. But I am wiser now!

By the way, Was this discussed anywhere from page 1-500? Let me know if the 22k na penalty for not reading the whole thread... grin grin grin
If you know how much I've saved on this journey both for myself and family... simply by spending one night going through all the links on the page one of part three, and then religiously following the thread.

I've even started saving future money already by following the living in Canada thread grin

Getting it right the first time is always the cheapest way.

A good number of us here started by reading page one of the thread and carrying out tons of research. You can go ahead to make the payment and let's see where it leads. That's why we're here afterall, to learn from each others' experiences.

If you ask me, I would say request extension. Then if you can do the medicals tomorrow self, well and good. If not, you'll still be safe. You choices and decisions sha.

Guys does the 'how to find a job in Canada' email have anything to do with the visa office your application is sent to? I got the email immediately I created my profile before I even got ITA.

Also after submission on the 8th of October I got an Acknowledgement of Receipt email. I'm not sure it's the same AOR because from people's timelines it seems to come weeks after submission
AOR now usually comes immediately

'how to find a job in canada email' is still a speculation something, though for me the mail came same day my file was transferred to primary VO

Good morning guys,

Is there a 'good' time to go for biometrics during a particular day? I want to book an appointment for my mum and I am wondering if it is better to go in early in the morning or in the afternoon. Dunno how this biometrics things works.

Thanks.
Someone mentioned recently that 2pm is the best time to stroll in. If my memory serves me right. Edit: yes it served me right. see below

Madekay:
Go around 2pm and you would waltz in.

Cheers

It's an emergency birth due to some complications as her due date was supposed to be in late November.
Deadline for Application submission is 1st week of december.
I will just complete POF for two people next week.
Raising the extra POF for three people before the December deadline is my main concern right now.
Cc. madekay
When is the emergency birth? Has it happened already? Can you prehustle the pof and get AOR even if na a day before the birth?

Otherwise i would advise you wait until December, sort new pof (God will provide) and baby docs before then. Or decline if your crs is high and take your time to get it right. Just my thinking sha. Because I'm not understanding how you want to submit for family of three with pof for two. Even submitting for family of three with only loe as baby's docs is unnecessarily complicated and risky talkless of no pof join.

They won't realise it if we don't refer them there.

It's okay to keep handing out fish by answering questions, but for newbies future good and to avoid them making future mistakes it's better to prompt them into fishing.

For proof to show that the sibling is currently in Canada, if the sibling lives with someone else, will a bank statement suffice for a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc? Thanks.
