Missmossy:No one has it all. |
JennieCutie4U:What if he is so poor yet has all these? No lie o ..talk true |
DaisyII:As a man I'm very visual and whatever is pleasing to my eyes will be pleasing to my soul. |
![]() Standing5:That is a long term move but what I'm talking about is an immediate act that will crash the dollar against the naira. |
mrvitalis:What long process? Is the long process more destructive than the crazy disparity we see today between the two currencies? There is something they are not telling us. |
Standing5:On the contrary I think it will create a balance in demand. |
Dudeweedlmao:The mystery of the China deal. |
babyfaceafrica:I weep for your likes....this is why some people will always lag behind...so in your warped mind you believe I'm only intelligent enough to write just romance stuffs...think again. I am an Enterpreneur,a Politician, and an e-commerce consultant with major focus on currency trading and yes I'm good at what I do. Sorry if my IQ is too high for you to decipher...can't help you on that... Anyways I would advice you get intelligent enough to discuss the subject matter or just read comments from people.of sound intellect...Thanks |
Dudeweedlmao:I was actually thinking you got that somewhere until I read your closing remarks ![]() |
SalamRushdie:And that is exactly the point. The disparity we see today in the exchange rate is totally cosmetic because of so many negative factors like roundtripping, hurding, and many more so we can not say for sure that the present value of the naira is what it is again st the dollar but once the pressure is off from the dollar, the real value will surface. |
SalamRushdie:I thought trade is about demand and supply.. If we don't have to go through the dollar to do our import and export I guess the demand will reduce thereby forcing the exchange rate down...is this not dimple economics? |
Seun, lalasticlala and mynd44 please let's get the views of the people. We need to discuss this matter and not just about protesting. |
Omudia11:This is a serious matter..did Obama influenced the decision? Did some cabal changed Buhari's mind? What really happened? |
I don't have much knowledge about the Nigerian monatary policy neither have I worked in any financial institution but from the layman's perspective ì don't see how hard it is to crash the dollar against the naira in one week. Now read this... In a bid to bridge the widening gap between the Naira and the Dollar in the Exchange rate market, President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, April, 12 2016 shocked foreign investors mainly from the United States who have been accused of stockpiling their money in dollars. The President had consistently insisted that he would not devalue the naira against the dollar despite pressure from the International Monetary Fund, IMF and the United States. During Buhari’s visit to Beijing, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, the world’s biggest lender, and the Central Bank of Nigeria signed a Currency swap deal on yuan transactions. The implication according to the Director-General, African Affairs Department, China’s Foreign Ministry, Lin Songtian, is that “Renminbi (yuan) is free to flow among different banks in Nigeria, and the renminbi has been included in the foreign exchange reserves of Nigeria,” An economic expert and Chief Executive Officer, Cowry Asset Management Limited, Mr. Johnson Chukwu, noted that the currency swap agreement will allow Nigerian banks to issue Letters of Credit in renminbi (yuan) in place of the dollar or euro. “The new deal may ease pressure on the dollar, since demand for yuan/renminbi will start rising,” Chukwu said. In a bid not to devalue, Buhari according to experts is seeking for a way to weaken the dollar dominated currency by approving Yaun to be one of the nation’s major foreign exchange currencies. http://www.newspunch.org/2016/04/us-market-panics-over-potential-dollar.html?m=1 ..................................................................................... Please can any expert in the house tell us what happened to this agreement? In my opinion this is a simple kindargerten solution to the ever increasing gap between the naira and the dollar...I believe that if the federal government implements this agreement today, the naira will drastically appreciate against the dollar in just one week as demand for the dollar will drastically reduce as most of our imports are from China and Japan which means there will be reduced transaction cost of changing naira to the dollar and back to yuan as many importers can buy the Yuan directly. Over to you all to discuss because I'm totally at sea over what is going on.
Tu face why The only time you could really show you mean the words in your songs, yet you disappointed us. May be he remembered sound sultan's song: "I want to be like moses... Take my people dem to the promise land, But then I notice something... People wet try am don dey underground... I see them, I ja (run), look dem from far, Me I fear this government people" How many likes for the likes of Seyi law[/quotel] I still marvel at the way 2face chickened out...even his mum will be so ashamed of him at this point. I just hope he redeems his image cos I have lost my respect for him... |
paschu:Most myopic comment on naira land. Yet your so called ceremonial PhD holder looted us dry. But for corruption I guess no one would have rooted for Buhari I personally voted for him because of his zero tolerance to corruption...too bad we are experiencing this hardship. |
hucienda:Let's face it....I don't wish anyone dead but Baba is well above 70 so if he exits the world at this point in time, I don't see any biggy there...he has fought a good fight and he is accomplished in life. #Yolo(You only live once) |
FortuneTeller:You just ridicled yourself and your country in front of over 2 million registered nairalanders and only a bastard does that... this is not an abuse but a statement of fact. If not you won't talk down on your country because you find yourself in the states... All the celebs who are 100% Americans won't say this pooh about Nigeria. Celebs like Brian McKnight,Ciara, Kim Kardashian, Lionel richie, Jamiene jackson to mention a few came to Lagos and left without any issues and the owner of Facebook walked the streets of Ojuelegba known for its notoriety without any escort and Lagos is one place everyone can boast of relative safety. Which Nigerian will be foolish enough to write this about his/her country except a hopeless dumb person. For writing this I officially tag you a loser...omo ale jatijati |
FortuneTeller:I was actually expecting you to post something incriminating since you are so full of baseless rants and flimsy accusations. Anyways I'm glad to inform you that I will be sending a message to the mods to bring down this thread cos you are two-faced. You introduced a lady to me and latter tried to destroy her persona and at the same time turned around to accuse me of desiring her for a green card....Apparently you need to check yourself for thorough psychological evaluation.. why introduce two people to each other just to bring them down with your unguarded utterances? So you still have time to buttress your accusations before this baseless thread is removed. |
optional1:All these marriage talks no dey tire una?The truth is ...I'm not searching for a wife... |

A teacher teaching Maths to seven-year-old Laiq asked him, “If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?” Within a few seconds Laiq replied confidently, “Four!” The dismayed teacher was expecting an effortless correct answer, three. She was disappointed. “Maybe the child did not listen properly.” – she thought. She repeated, “Laiq, listen carefully. If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?” Laiq had seen the disappointment on his teacher’s face. He calculated again on his fingers. But within him he was also searching for the answer that will make the teacher happy. His search for the answer was not for the correct one, but the one that will make his teacher happy. This time hesitatingly he replied, “Four.” The disappointment stayed on the teacher’s face. She remembered that Laiq liked strawberries. She thought maybe he doesn’t like apples and that is making him loose focus. This time with an exaggerated excitement and twinkling in her eyes she asked, “If I give you one strawberry and one strawberry and one strawberry, then how many you will have?” Seeing the teacher happy, young Laiq calculated on his fingers again. There was no pressure on him, but a little on the teacher. She wanted her new approach to succeed. With a hesitating smile young Laiq replied, “Three?” The teacher now had a victorious smile. Her approach had succeeded. She wanted to congratulate herself. But one last thing remained. Once again she asked him, “Now if I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple how many will you have?” Promptly Laiq answered, “Four!” The teacher was aghast. “How Laiq, how?” she demanded in a little stern and irritated voice. In a voice that was low and hesitating young Laiq replied, “Because I already have one apple in my bag. This story brings to mind the mistake many of us make in judging people and also makes us understand that we must avoid prejudice at all cost and wait until we hear people out before making wrong conclusions or forming an opinion about them. -You call someone and the person did not pick up after several attempts and you quickly blocked or deleted that number. -You sent a message to your Bae and h/she did not respond even when the status shows "read" or "online" and you conclude you are ignored. -You asked a rich friend or family member for money and h/she does not give you and you say he is a wicked or stingy man. -Your Bae was seen in a hotel with someone else holding hands and smiling....oh they must have had a good time together... -You read a news and you quickly make irrational comments just to see a contrary report latter. -You hear one side of a story and you quickly pass judgment without hearing the other party. -You just hold grudges against someone who has no dotty clue that h/she offends you and you just keep hating and harboring bitterness whilst the person in question is busy living a happy life. I can go on and on to highlight endless instances where you seem to be convinced about your judgment based on an erroneous observation or misconstrued information yet you could be so so wrong. When someone gives you an answer that is different from what you expect, don’t think they are wrong. There could be an angle that you may not have thought about yet and no matter how seemingly sure a situation may present itself, be sure to know the facts from the people or person involved before passing judgment. No matter how it seems...before you fire that shots, always find out the facts else you may make terrible judgments that may jettison potentially wonderful union and possibly ignite avoidable resentment. I hope this makes sense.

DeepFriedPuff:lol! not really |
Haaaaa! no be my neighbor ex girlfriend be this? |
ayindejimmy:You are very right. In actual fact Hillary won the popular vote and if it was a Nigerian election I guess Hillary will be in the white house today but the American system has a somewhat complex way of deciding the winner of a presidential election by using Electoral college votes which is comprised of 538 Electors from all the states and who ever wins 270 out of this numbers become the POTUS. The number 538 is the sum of the nation’s 435 Representatives, 100 Senators, and 3 electors given to the District of Columbia. |
I really don't know what the fuss is all about...he made it clear before he was elected what he would do...he was democratically elected and he is presently fulfilling his promises...abeg what is the hulabaloo about? |

ul01:lol! |
