I ate amala at home growing up and my mum is one person who never encouraged eating outside. The first time i had a foreign amala experience was in OAU ile-ife,at old buka.I was really scared at first because of the environment. Not to clean baby poop somewhere and then the women behinde large cauldrons dishing out the meal looked like overfed witches serving human parts.well i ordered quite little(to feel among say me sef fit chop outside). After i had a five minute crusade binding and casting the devils from my amala i finally settled down to eat.MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!It was experience like a virgin haveing an orgasm after GOOD sex. That was the first dis-virgining experience! Then in my final year i went with my friends to UI for research work and one of my 'ajala' friends who has combed IB took us to this place at sabo.Oh boy!the amala na die.I bought oh.Bought in a plastic bowl all the way back to ife. I enetred a small bus back to Ife that night which was so uncomfortable,if you see the way i clung to my bowl eh,it a was like i was carryin a priceless artifacT. The Amala/Gbegiri combo is one tagteam that rules anyday. Even ajebo dey doff cap anytime they experience the combo. lesson learnt over the years is that good amala is served in not so clean environment. just pray chop and if u get long throat the combo go teach you lesson ![]() NB:Have u heard of fireservice at townplanning area?them good man!try them out. |
Happy Independence Day everyone. its great 2 b back. ![]() And Seun, thanks for restoring my freedom of expression . May God in his infinite mercy never allow you meet anyone who will deprive you of your right to express your opinion. I didn't mean to start a fight, i just wanted to express myself. The first line of my post to Tampico was 'If you want to contribute to this thread, you are entirely welcome to do so." I never tried to prevent her form posting (as if i could). @Tampico, i am sorry for the attack on you . I must confess that i was dying to see your response, but i'm happy your better judgment prevailed. But i am surprised that your better judgment didn't tell you that you can't second-guess Lawyerchap on this thread. Take a look at your posts below and compare them with Lawyerchap's. What Tampico said: "Bloggers on other sites r really out for Bertha. They want her out first, because Rato will surely follow. I took the stats. SA is hailing Rato, not because they like her, like many of them tried to state, but because they feel they should unite n support her the way Naija is supporting Ofu. Unless the millions of Naija'a unite to send L away this sunday, she just mite be saved this coming sunday. I for one still believe B should go, n from the looks of things, Bertha keeps handing her head on a platter. From the texts to the many blogs ive visited, it's 'OFF WITH BERTHA'S HEAD". So it's safe for Bertha to get the boot this Sunday, and as much as u guys want Lerato out, public stats looks to boot out B," What Lawyerchap said: Definitely Lerato is leaving on Sunday. At this point Biggie is keen to get her out of the house because she is embarrassing the hell out of South Africa. The Bedwetting was the absolute last straw. Even if our votes get Bertha out, Biggie will orchestrate Lerato's eviction. It's that bad. Don't waste your votes on Bertha this week. Lerato has to leave. @Tampico I have no beef with you, all i can say is that (according to Richard, from a scene in the movie 'The Mask') "you're good, but as long as Lawyerchap's around, you're always going to be second best". i don't know abot you but personally i'd rather find smething i can be a champion at, than something at which i can only be a contender. But that's just me. No aggro. |
as SISTA said am sure it's some1 elses's story because u sil are a mere 22years old.And if truly it's u then BIG SAHME.you are married and u to must ahve a daughter that same age.So why did'nt your daughter entice you.Guy you fall your hand oh big time.As some1 said now you know and suddenly that part of your brain popped that you have a wify. My advice come clean own up don't ever encourage ana bortion.Things may be hot now but with time it will blow over.Accept the baby and raise like you have done your own kids.I pray God see's you through. Please don't blame the devil you started it! |
I keep asking one question. At what point do you stop loving each other and just begin to hate instead. At what point do u need a break to begin to cheat on your partner. I mean if both of them could be so loving to "online sweethearts" then why not to each other.Sometimes am scared of this marriage thing. So why the divorce now, they found out a part of themselves they hitherto did not know existed till now truly existed,so why not channel efforts to making it work out. Anywyas me i get work to do,na them sabi. |
@toyin1709 thanks for answering this babe jare.i jut tire for some people. Nairaland people drop credible and worthy topics you don't upload them. What with this load of s****?please oh! ![]() |

@uchetobi My dear, i did BOTHER to read through. That reply was just calling you to order in case of next time.Just say what you have to say in stead of making someone else feel like their opinion does'nt count.Abi as some1 asked your papa get shares for MDH? ![]() @sarin my dear they are meant to be useing the medium dance to promote family ties, like the mtn family show that disappeared all of a sudden. The thing unfortunately has deviated thanks to the crappy judges and the boring presenter. |
pain please feel me in on the affiliate bot thing.i am very interested i don't want to put my email here because it has my first name but if u can we can chat online about it .Thanks. |
@toyin1709 i feel u jare the first person i expected to see as a judge was kaffy, then a musician who does a lot of dance in his videos then to show they are serious they would hvae gotten a latin dance specialist those judges look too stiff to even lift a leg in salsa or cha cha,so how do they actually judge. i think maltina just set out to sha do reality tv show in line with what is going on around but they did not set out to look serious and create a show that would keep evolving like GUS.I mean check out the presenter meeeeeeeeen!i was not going to go there but that chick is dulling the whole show she should be presenting a couples game not dance she herself should liven things up by throwing down a few digs once in a while. And those judges, they must dance oh at the end of it all at least in idols nana and dede showed us they where tru professionals by actually singing so those crappy judges must dance.I pray that maltina does not go down like the intern did .A HUGE FLOP! ![]() @uchetobi ![]() this is a forum where people are allowed toair their views i hate it when people wash other people's opinions down.I really hated your response to phenomenom. ![]() |

MALTINA DANCE HALL! ![]() I tuned in yesterday night while i was waiting to watch newsline. It started off being very interesting but when i saw the first dance cha cha i was like cha cha for naija ke?I thought this show should have been an opportunity to showcase how much family members know about the Nigerian culture and dances from different parts of the country. Because i caught snipets from before the show started. When they visited individual families across the country.I tuned away to watch newsline during a commercial break i went back and i saw the father/daughter, mother/son combo it was nice .It showed how far family would go to help out.But i still no gell for the cha cha dance sha. ![]() Then it was time for the judges to say something and boy did they yarn dust especially that chick that thinks she is nana fromk idols. The babe just opened her muth and talked crap.Organisers you messed up bigtime with the ,content and judges. Your concept is dance hall THEN lets see families do african steps the morden way. Lets see them add a bit of hip to it and present it to the world. For crying out loud salsa and cha cha for a Mr Adetola or Mr Imodu .A BIG NO NO ![]() Then judges:because idols had 2 guys and a lady, does not mean u should follow suit.Sorry but 1 your choice of judges just dulled the whole show and then when they opened their mouth to comment it was just pure CRAP! Nid i add here that i don't think i would ever bother to watch it again. This time it's thumbs down for NIGERIAN BREWERIES! |

from nggold don't believe that a man of 40 years old doesnt have a steady paying job even though he read a professional course and don't know how long is going to take him to establish like buying a car, owning a house, start his own law chamber and even take care of the wife and children considering his age. my reply ok 30 for 30 abi! i believe u.But sister u for no mention material stuff because then people would think it is the material u are after.to orikanla please don't help her begin to get a wish list of rights!she could list 4 wrongs and 2 rights My sister.U have spoken run away and start over. from Nite angel Another friend though intelligent and just landed a bank job dressed like a village boy, looking timid and reflecting all the values of SU. He met this pretty media girl in church and went for her. The babe saw what others did not see. She saw a diamond in the rock and went for it. At the time they met, the guy was squating with friends. Before you could say Onyali (must it always be Jack Robinson?) she encouraged (or lured) the guy to get his own apartment and change his wardrobe. Today village boy don become "oga" giving order as he cruises around the coal city with "madam". my reply this one no be diamond for rock oh ![]() |
Look here NGGOLD i wont be sweet with you at all .As some1 said 30 means like 35 but not withstanding you are not to old.I have a list of examples around me who are regretting marrying losers like your bobo. The most recent my auntie she was in her late thirties when she hooked up with this guy over 40,never married no kids anywhere and still living in his mothers house in surulere. Being a rich spinster she did all the cleaning up to suit her celebrity status bought him clothes, took him with her on trips round the world( omo see love! hmmm you go fear now). Today the story has turned oh,sexually the guy is lazy no be say him no dey do but once in a loooooooooong time.He works but what he earns can only care for himself. When they got married she was living with him in his family house in surulere until she went to rent a 3 bedroom apartment worth 950k for 2 years. Now she desperatly wants a child, uncle could'nt be bothered, auntie is on the move wasting millions from 1 fertility clinic to the other. Omo better wise up now.Age is nothing but a number, some of us are not destined to be omotola jolade who married at 16( or was it 18).When Mr Right will come he will come loaded. Not perfect but what u can handle.God will give you the bone of your bones not a burden to bear. U confidently listed his list of wrongs in bullet points, until some1 mentioned in 1 of the replies i did not even see the part of him being caring or respecting you.He knows what he wants from you.Am sure at your age you are comfortable and at least begining to live your dreams. I know am too hard on him,but my dear wise up.Because if you don't i can bet you,you will be back on naira land asking us to help you leave your husband(God forbid that). And sincerly i won't want to think you a very d*** chick. You sure don't sound like one. ![]() |
Na wa for this nairaland oh.Which kind post be this.If you can list his list of wrongs confidently without batting an eyelid. Then he aint the man for you.RUN as fast as your 30 year oldlegs can carry you.Run far from him. ![]() You guys quit advicing her there are some topics that u can think through yourself why labour nairaland with it. ![]() |
@osisi so my dear what do you do especially when u know he is cheating ,u have not caught him red handed with his pants down but so many indications point that way. Men it is easy to talk here on nairaland when not acyually faced with one now.my friend hubby is cheating on her,we know cause his waka last week saturday has been checked out to be false. He claimed he was at a bussiness meeting in lekki and lekki road was jammed because of a party .He works in oil and gas,and always has to close late but we now no that his late nights have jara to it.Besides some chick called him am sure by mistake and my friend picked it. She wants my advice. So my dear how does she solve this! HELP HELP HEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP |
Macutie u talk am without comma. True definition of friendship no doubt! In addition to this to get a true friend be a true friend, and true friendship starts with u u r your own best friend.Never expect too much from people because they are just human and would let you down.So love yourself be true to your self,be there for yourself after all when the chips are down all you've gat is you. This would also naturally attract a True friend. |
@kabibi abi oh my dear!souls are heading fast to hell. The acceleration to hell eh! Na wa oh! ![]() |
quoted from pilgrim "Okay, we hear. On the one hand, you don't advise others lord their selfish suggestions over others; but on the other hand, you still have the 'lording' rights to denounce them as "flashy PIMPS"!! You do well O!" My dear did u read the first thing i wrote and if you bothered to read some people's comments u would have seen where i was coming from.Besides r u for or against this act of ring wearing because as someone said you're chasing 2 opposite poles ![]() My take again which i STAND by,these people are role models of the society,a man of God in these times(not in the days of John) who wears locks, rings and flashy clothing is a no no for the society, they do not pass across anything positive to the audience they are meant to reach. And i most say as the bible(i paraphrase) says if any causes another man to fall and go to hell will himself follow suit. What if one of these MOG'S had a word that would just deliver a cronik druggie, prostitute or someone on the fast lane to hell and shows up wering the same flashy clothes and accessoiries these 'supposed converts' are used to seeing.do u think they will hear jack, except a divine intervention takes place. My dear lets emulate our role model JESUS CHRIST who himself was modest,he did not have to wear rings or flashy clothes or even say because john had his hair in locks do the same.He was modest and i think our spiritual fathers should do the same.NUF SAID ![]() |
[i]HELLO PEOPLE! THE QUESTION WAS WHY DO PASTORS WHERE RINGS?Why don't we just ask them, instead of being personal about the whole thingy. Why would someone start quoting scriptures on top this topic. It's a personal thing and an individual's perspective should be KEPT YOUR PERSPECTIVE.STOP LORDING YOUR SELFISH SUGGESTIONS OVER OTNERS PLEASE!My take as men of God they should lead by example. They are meant to be role models instead of flashy PIMPS.And fashion wise they always say less is more u r married fine but whats with the other ring except na, [/i] |

@babeelove babeelove na wa oh! thank God we don't put our real names up in here. @weebee I still stand by what i said on prayer.I know some1very close to me now after just almost 2 years of marriage is suspecting her husband of creeping. The guy sef dull, him no just try in coding the deal at all at all. Before u get into marriage i always say u would have seen the creeping tendencies just that us women always just fool our selves.Fine s**t happens and he can stray but if he never had the tendencies andwas lured into it and then u pray.He will come back to his senses. There are dangerous prayers for stuff like that just ask and u will be given .When i was younger because of stories i always heard my take on marriage was for me to leave in another country with my kids far from my husband distance makes the heart grow fonder right? But now that am old i know better and thank God for the man he has blessed me with.H e makes me want to say YES over and over again. Finding the right one is hard but once u do keep him and please marry your friend when u do bah wahala! weebee stay cool u sound like a really nice person! |
An interesting gist popped up at work yesterday while we where trying to crack a brief.BEGGERS!boy where there horrid stories to tell. A manager recounted his experience about just when he came into Lagos after 1 year outside Lagos doing his youth service. As he got down at ojota,he said 2 little children accosted him.'Oga our mother is sick and in hospital and we are looking for money for her drug's or something like that. The story was so touching. He had just 200 naira on him.He told them he had just 200and they offered to look for change for him. As they turned he noticed that the one who came to do the marketing signaled to the younger one who brought out a brown envelope and as he dipped his hand in the envelope the amount of money that followed the hand was shocking. He said if 1000note was excisting then he's sure it would have come out to. no small denomination at all.100,200 and 500 naira notes. Unknown to them he saw the whole show. The chief marketer finally brought out 50 naira and gave it to him.He looked at them angrily and asked that they give him back the 200 so he would change it himself, sharply they knew he had caught them so they went back to the treasury and added another 50 bucks to it. Annoyed he turned and left. The next day as he was coming down from a bus at oni-pan b/stop guess who he saw the same children as he stood scowling down at them they caught the scope that he was the same guy they duped they did a 180 turn and headed east.My guy said he closed marked this children because he did not want someone else to become another mugu. After like 20 Min's when they kept jamming road blocks they took the next available bus out of there. To God knows which destination to continue business. The most shocking was a case in one big church in yaba.(name with held)of a two beggers who decided to rebel against their oga. The story came out after the oga came to expose them in church so they could be driven away. These 2 so called beggers where put there strategically. They had wounds that never seemed to heal. This wound wa struly a sight deep, smelly, and always greased. Their sponsor said they always made returns of 7,000 daily until one day when a rich couple took pity on them and said they would be giving them a certain amount every sunday to go for appropriate treatment. The first sunday they where given 10,000 cash minus the 10,20 and 5 nairas that passers by would drop oh. Oga demanded 2ce the drop that day,omo ise yari Oga come vex go report for police station for panti. The oga said to the extent that the wounds on their legs where fake and only cosmetic he pulled off the plasters and bandages exposing smooth skin beneath. People it was a sight. They both landed in jail oga and omo ise! And the stories go on and on and on.So next time someone comes and says to you.Good evening sir/oga i never chop since yesterday'take a gooooooood look at them.Do they really look hungry.I know scripturally it is good to give because giving to the poor is giving to God. But then these people can't just be trusted.Well i thank God for opportunities like CAN an RCCG initiative (A CAN CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE) constantly feeding the poor daily. So you know that 10,100,200 naira or a derica of rice, oil etc is going a long long way and being recorded in the good books. |
