sharp guy, ingenuine excuse. |
Was he not part of the erred administration, or what detergent has just washed him of the blemish? Just because 2015 election is fast approaching, that is why he decides being a saint and white sheep of the Obasanjo's black administration. Talking about the third term agenda of the then president as a mistake as if he wouldn't lobby to also be in the cabinet again if the third term bid was successful. Had he done this immediately after his tenure as the minister of the fct, he would be more justified and not now when everybody knows he has the presidential ambition. Ogede ti wo koko ye tan, ogede ti di igi buruku(banana tree has nurtured the cocoa tree to maturity and the banana tree now regarded a nuisance). |
OSOGBO—GOVERNOR Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State and former Minister of Justice, Prince Bola Ajibola, yesterday, advised Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State, to stop playing politics and join the crusade for the South West regional integration being canvassed by other governors from the region. Speaking at the opening of a four day South West Grassroots Business and Investment Forum, Governor Aregbesola noted that the struggle for power politics is gone in the south west and urged Dr Mimiko to collaborate with other Governors of the South West in the bid to ensure regional integration. He also charged the Governors of the region to work for its development and make it a pace setter for other geo political zones in the country. He said: “I want to use this forum to call on Governor Olusegun Mimiko to join other governors in working for the collective interest of the South West zone through the integration of the region for our collective development.” He contended that the crusade for regional integration by other governors of the South West region was to accelerate economic development of the entire region. Aregbesola noted that regional integration would enhance socio-economic development of the region and its people, saying, “our people under regional integration will be empowered economically.” Similarly, Justice Bola Ajibola, contended that South West region as an agrarian terrain should be accorded priority to reposition agriculture which plays prominent position in the life of any government. Also speaking, former governor of Oyo State, Dr. Victor Olunloyo stressed that the idea behind regional integration was to improve what had gone wrong in the country and correct some ill feelings. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/02/aregbesola-ajibola-advise-mimiko-to-join-s-west-integration/ |
dribble them like Messi and misfire like Torress! What am pleading for is that there should be a fair contest between them without the referee(INEC) being interested, bias and manouvred. |
Three persons were arrested during a raid at the hideout of suspected terrorists in the Dorayi quarters in Kano State. One of those arrested is suspected to be the mastermind behind attack on the Emir of Kano’s convoy, which led to the death of four of his aides and injured two of his sons. Security forces recovered four AK-47 rifles and many rounds of ammunition. At the time of this report, the operation is still on-going. Sources have revealed that the hideout was pulled down following the raid. The Emir, Ado Bayero, is currently receiving treatment in London, alongside his two sons and his aides. He had reportedly received glass cuts to his forehead from the wind shield of his car during the attack. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/nigerian-security-forces-raid-hideout-suspected-attackers-emir-kano |
prevention is better than cure! Wonder why the government feel it is better to dole out money to the victims of any human disaster instead of using the money to build up the security of the nation with the cash that are supposed to pay to the victim of the disasters. #25million? The actual amount is #22.5million anyway cos the pastor is gonna first of all deduct the tithe. |
What tribe is palli(118) and pulani(119)? Guess the OP meant falli and fulani respectively! Andre Uweh: There is no ngwa so also, there is no Mbaise, Owerri, Nnewi, Umuahia, Udi, Ekiti, Owoh, Ede, Offa, egba etc. They are not complaning.Ekiti, Owoh, Ede, Offa, egba are yoruba dialects and not a tribe. Just got back from work and tried recollecting the events that occured today. This weird, funny and sad incidence just crossed my mind. I was in the psychiatric ward as a clinical pharmacist in practice. A nurse and three other nurses were in the ward discussing. There came this patient from her bed holding one of her pair of slipper moving towards the nurses. Suddenly, the patient hit the nurse with the slipper. The other three nurses were suprised and quickly held the patient shouting let me kill the cockroach walking on her head. I was amazed almost laughing and at the same time pitying the nurse. I believe we all have one or two weird or funny experiences in our working place. Do you mind sharing them? |

Are they the one to tell him how to make a good governance? Good governance is majorly inbuilt though little can be acquired. Moreover, what worked for france and england(other than corruption free) may not work for us. |
How are these people getting the fund to pay the recruits and the cooks? Al quadae have hijacked the boko haram. |
Ornithological specimens of identical plumage tend to aggregate in close proximity! Birds of a feather flock together! egbe eye ni eye n wo to! |
This is a very nice teaching to give to a child so as to build him up mentally and psychologically. I dont know their academic settings in the USA in the mid 19th century. But if it were to be in modern nigeria, Abraham Lincoln will have to do the teaching himself. Cos most teachers wont want to sacrifice their work and time for that. |
funken: As much as I applaud the GEJ govt for "upgrading" the airports, the new domestic airport in Lagos is already showing signs of decay. I came in from Port Harcourt this evening and i went into the gents of the arrival lounge to ease myself. Lo and behold, one of the 3 wash hand sinks is already so badly cracked that it could fall apart any moment from now. And this is from an airport that was just commissioned only a few months ago.we have seen your complaint on the issue. Don't worry we will set up a committee to look into the matter. |
SlyIg: Poor Herbalist, he couldn't even display his juju to charm the policemen. Fake juju man!^^^ tribe basher on a thread intended for tribe bashing forgetting that there are many similar cases in her region. One of the funny things is that some of these people patronising those ritualists are from other regions. i.e igbo patronizing yoruba ritualist and vice verca. |
Is this a scandal or a norm? If this is a scandal, then every office, company, bank, etc in nigeria is scandalized with nepotism, cronysm and favortism. Anyway, it has become a very big prob in nigeria. Either you are attached to a strongman or you bribe your way in. |

The FG may not be planning to jettison the report anyway but engage in a delay tactics. Dont be surprised if he set up another committee to fault the report. Doyin Okupe said they went on 3weeks break for the new year. This is the 6th week of the year, haven't they resumed the break that doesn't reduce their salaries and allowances? Bunch of clueless people. |
There should be balance since the military school is a national academy maintained by the national budget. These schools were supposed to be sited in all the three regions since they were created in the first and second republic. There are many people that wished to attend the academy but due to the distance, couldn't do. Nearness to ones location gives a kind of psychological affection base on security and an additional advantage cos many of their staff stay around that can easily help one during the admission. E.g people in Zaria and its environment have the advantage that the staff stay, leave and patronize their business thereby creating a familiarity between the staff and the civilians around. Those staff can easily be consulted during admission though they are just only shouting quota system which is not implemented in its full percentage. I believe there should be more creation of the academy which should be of the Zaria standard in each geo-political zones. And this will add a numerical value to our military. |

The beggars are nothing but a nuisance to our society both the ables and the disables. I think the government most especially the state has a major work to eradicate this nuisance. Like the Lagos state government did, the disabled should be well rehabilitated in the rehabilitation home and after the rehabilitation, they can now be empowered financially by setting them on a services like cobbler, laundry and art work cos i believe there is ability in disability even from the alphabetical makeup of the word. That is if they see the seriousness in the beggar, but if unserious, the beggar should be transfered to its state cos no state is created to bear the burden of another state's nuisance. For the able bodied beggars, kirikiri should be their asylum cos they constitute more than nuisance. There are some of them faking beggars to kidnap, perpetuate evil and acquire another man's fortune with juju. |
Congratulation to the 2 new invitees for the national cake share. I can see everybody enjoyed the football match yesterday, very obvious from Mr President's analysis. Seems the president has forgotten that if the clubs manager is clueless, the coaches will just be misdirected. |
