2 key points to note are:

Check engine light should not be ignored at any time... It means there is a problem and you need to fix it for the optimal performance of your car.
The knock sensor is located behind the manifold.
The sensor does not cost much (2k-5k).

i have a camry 99 model. i have been using it for 7sevens months now, but during this periods i have noticed the fuel consumption is usually high. i have compared it with similar models, over time but my still stands out. i have serviced my nozzles, changed air filter(new), changed fuel filter(new), changed the plugs,yet still not difference. after this last servicing two weeks ago, i notice this unusual vibration when i engage my gear, but when on motion i dont feel it. what else can i do please ?

Why not try to scan the car and post the error codes here.
For the vibration, you can have an expert help you check the engine seats.

Well, cosidering the way the OP asked (the routes he mentioned), I don't think he is talking about using the car for Bolt/Uber services.
THat being said, IMO, it can be used. If sienna can be used for inter-city communting, why would it not handle shorter distances.
Besides, I've seen it being used along those axis mentioned.

Sorry for your predicament.
I've been there as well, so I know how it feels.

Before replacing anything. Perform the basic checks (Exhaust leak, nozzles, plugs, intake manifold leak etc)

Those codes relate to o2 sensor and catalytic converter.
Test o2 sensor with a multimeter to be sure the recommended voltage is reaching it. Also check the wiring for faults like partial contacts and wrong connections.

Oh yes. I met a guy I discovered here. He helped performed another scan a fix.
The consumption now has really improved. I will keep observing. 10litres now give me 65miles.

A code does not go off on it's own unless the condition has been fixed or fault is no longer there like gass cap. So the person scanning might be erasing the code. You always have to write the code down so that from experience or online forums you will find the cause of your problems. Also being able to look at the readings on your sensors can point to the culprit. You just have to give an accurate symptom, and since you said it's been like that since you first got it ,you should manually calculate you MPG so we know you are in the ball park figure. I am not sure if this generation comes with inline filter but check if the scanner will give reading for fuel pressure.

The words you give to parts are only specific to Nigeria now I understand you replaced fuel injectors those are not necessary if you had scanned first, changing the thermostat might point to your car running in open or closed loop

Throttle body has been cleaned. Is it possible to clean the exhaust catalyst?
It's a 4 plug, 2.0L, Petrol engine. 2004 Focus.

E of plug did you install, different cars use different plugs, what does your air filter look like why would you change the throttle body ( Google the word I think you guys call it nozzle)

The scanner came up with 2 errors, I cannot remember the codes again, but the translation relates to thermostat and that was fixed. Check engine light is on, only goes off whenever a scan is performed. New motorcraft and normal sized plugs were installed, not the slim one. Nozzle are the 4 plug like shaped rubber, they control fuel intake to the engine. I did not change the throttle body neither did I change air filter.
