At this stage, there is nothing wrong in canvassing for NPFL goalkeeper with full chest. The NPFL cannot be that terrible that it can’t produce a goalkeeper better than Uzoho and Maduka.

What’s the point of having a goalkeeper if every shot at him leads to a goal. We can’t even vouch for our goalkeeper (who is supposed to be our last line of defense) to save the day if one of our defenders makes defensive error.

Finally got to watch the last 3 episodes of the wheel of time season 2.

Great season. Like I’ve stated earlier on this thread, this season is a massive improvement from last season. The last episode turned out better than I thought it would be. Kudos to the writers. I hope the writers of ring of power learn from this because I don’t want to see a garbage second season from that show.

Yeah, it felt like the last episode was a little bit rushed but it still delivered. They tried to cover up for that with Ishamael stating they were not ready for the dragon reborn coming to falme just yet.

All storylines converged and came to a proper end with Egwene benefitting the most in terms of character growth.

My problem with the season is how Rand had little or no growth on the show and important events he should have shone were overtaken by other characters like Egwene. It got so bad that Egwene became so powerful that she single-handedly shielded everyone from one of the most powerful forsaken.

Nynaeve still stagnant and the princess had little or nothing to do. Maybe they have better things for them in subsequent seasons.

The season also ended setting up for the next with more forsakens coming around. I look forward to see what they would do in subsequent seasons and I hope to see an improved season 3. Perhaps, I might pick up the book to see how things panned out.

I think the south eastern Catholic Church has a lot to do to curb the excesses from these priests. They want to enjoy the same lifestyle the Pentecostal pastors enjoy. This hardly happen in the South western Catholic Church because they know their oath is binding, and the Bishop has the final say on any matter which the priests must obey. The same issue is affecting the Anglican churches over there too.

This is one of the major problems with Catholic practice in the south east. Many rev. Fathers want to create their own ministries and practice outside of the church jurisdiction. The problem with this is that people begin to worship them like the Pentecostals worship their pastors.

It hardly happens in the southwestern Catholic Churches. Most ministries are usually within the pius societies and other organized groups within the Catholic Church.

Even if Israel decides to relinquish 70% of the land they currently occupy to Palestine, the Palestines and the Hamas will still continue to wage war with Israel because it’s been their identity since time immemorial. It’s their way of life to hate Israel.

I fault his personal choice of words by insulting Hazard before dropping what we already know. Hazard didn’t train hard to achieve more with his enormous talent, it was more of fun to him but still he achieved a lot to a certain extent. He is from a rich home, he didn’t experience life struggle while growing up as everything was readily available for him to excel as a footballer and don’t see any need to overwork himself on training ground. He believed his talent was enough.

Wes Anderson is no longer the filmmaker I used to love. He is becoming a caricature of himself. His recent short films further confirmed my fears.

Ever since he made grand Budapest hotel, he has become more extreme in his approach to his style. Though the framing, composition, and color grading remain true to his style, the characters, dialogue delivery, and execution are getting bland with every movie.

We used to get eccentric characters but who are still very relatable from him. But what he churns out now are characters that are monotonous, unlively, and robotic. The characters act the same way in almost all situations.

The dialogue delivery too are getting worse by the day with characters just talking without emotions. Even emotional scenes he used to make in a quirky way (but still very much relatable) are now done blandly.

This leaves me to wonder, what happened to the man who gave me Rushmore, Fantastic mr fox, The Royal Tenebaums, The Darjeeling Limited, the grand Budapest hotel, moonrise kingdom?

If this is an evolution for him, I guess I will keep going back to cherishing his old movies. Perhaps, it will take me time to adjust.

I just watched some clips from Baye’s diary session.

I feel she had not really nurtured or give too much thought to winning since she got the final until Biggie told her that she could become the youngest multi-millionaire in her family.

Her reactions says it all. At first, she was like I don’t want to think of it, then she paused and the imagination crept in. Then she started talking about how her family will be proud of her and people thinking she can never do anything meaningful being put to shame. She felt she is running temperature for just thinking about it😂

Then she said doesn’t want to think about it.

Another pause, but this time the imagination became clear. Then she started making babbles of what she would used the money for. 😆😆
