Politics › Re: Petrol To Sell At N86.50 From 1st January To March 2016 - Federal Government by tomakint: 2:50am On Dec 30, 2015
This is madness.......what is this when the oil price at the International Market had been projected by the IMF to hit a bottom $20 per barrel in the coming year. By now this administration should be talking about crashing the PMS to N50 and do likewise to other fuel like kerosene and diesel and not this killing and robbing N86.50k in a country where prices of other commodities had skyrocketted against the buying power of the Naira, that is inching close to N300 to a dollar undecided

Business › Re: Why Nigerians Can’t Use Their Bank Debit Cards Outside The Country Anymore by tomakint: 8:22pm On Dec 28, 2015
The issue here is that Nigeria is not running a product-based economy to suddenly take this ill-timed decision of stifling businesses of Nigerians involved in genuine businesses abroad.....I beg to differ this decision will still mess this administration up on the long run.
Nairaland General › Re: See The World's Longest Ocean Bridge Located In China. by tomakint: 8:02pm On Dec 28, 2015
donfreshest6:
This is the world's longest ocean bridge located in China. It spans 26 miles and took four years to build. It cost more than $1.5 billion to complete and has a life expectancy of 100 years. Now, ask our leaders to build this bridge in Nigeria and we will go bankrupt. Second Niger Bridge in Onitsha that is a mere 1.5 kilometers (about one mile) is costing over N100 billion naira, that is over $500 million dollars at N190 to $1. Nigerians, please let us invite China to come and build fourth mainland bridge in Lagos and other bridges and let us pay toll for 100 years. The same China built 30,000 megawatts of electricity at $29 billion. We have spent over $50 billion on darkness. Tomorrow somebody would argue that we are normal human beings. Chinese don't have mosques and churches scattered all over the place. They have no Imams, pastors, no 'men of God", no daddy and mummy GOs. Yet, many of us deceive ourselves "praying", "casting" and "binding", looking for miracles, hawking miracles, signs and wonders and thinking that one day "God will help us". Before you talk with an average Nigerian, he tells you "by God's grace". What that means, I do not know. We steal, cheat, kill, discriminate and on Fridays and Sundays, we flock to mosques and churches, paying 10 per cent of our loot to some funny characters called men of God....... Shame on this nation.
You kill it bro.......I cannot agree less, well knitted piece wink

The rate at which madness is attached to the hasty policies of this administration is alarming.....just imagine the ban on the usage of ATM cards abroad when so many lives depend on it......what is the problem with Buhari's hasty decision on thorny and sensitive issues....the other day Fashola is trying to raise electricity bill when Nigeria is still hovering between 3,400 to 4,100 megawatt when what Nigeria needs is at least 21,000 megawatt.....

An education in the US is very expensive which is probably why many international students cannot afford to go there.
In terms of quality and world class research content, US universities have no rival. The top 50 universities in the world is dominated by the US with the US claiming the overwhelming majority of the top 10 category.
The annual budget of a single US ivy league school is bigger than Nigeria's entire annual education budget.
I beg to differ at the bolded, I don't think you got your facts right on that one. If you had said the entire budgets of Nigerian public universities I may but that but the entire education budget of Nigeria no sir....

You should be ashamed of yourself. Had your useless god invested in the diversification of the economy when oil was selling at over $90pb for the better part of his regime, would we have been discussing this today? But instead, he spent all his time drinking himself under the table and shared our commonwealth amongst his ediotic league of pathological criminals like he shares his ogogoro, and here you are sounding like a poorly strung guitar.

What a shame.
Dingbat, you must have been molested by the name Goodluck Jonathan in your life time.....always hoping from one thread like a loose Mona Monkey farting "Jonathan is the problem" your miserable self never come to the sound knowledge that Nigeria's problem started way back in 1960 yet you heap all the badluck of Nigeria on his small head and he gave his best despite the odds from you despicable lots......here you are with your big head sounding like a whipped ninny chanting 'Sai Baba' when his fellow Mallams here in Abuja are shouting 'Haba Baba' knowing the situation on ground. But you? No way, like a confused hawker who couldn't make any sales of his wares after a hard day resort to blame somebody undecided in case you have forgotten Jonathan is no more your President but Buhari quit these blame games like a certified dolt and start giving us the "Change you promised' mumuni....
Politics › Re: Tough Time Looms As Nigeria Loses Biggest Oil Customer by tomakint:
This is just too pathetic for a Country running a monolithic economy (over dependence on oil as a major revenue generator); too bad for a Country that least encouraged product-based economy; too bad that oil that is echaustible over the years is no longer going to fetch us the huge revenues we use to enjoy in the nearest future; very pathetic that Nigeria can hardly boast of cushion effect to ease out this incoming recession; very alarming that this same Country right from the 70s when it commenced oil exploration on a large scale commercial rate had made over $20 trillion yet Nigeria cannot measure up to UAE, South Africa, Egypt, Tunisia, Angola and Libya in terms of growth and development......what a big shame on out Leaders. Buhari may be impeached on the longrun. embarassed
