This same Abbo (Cliff as he's rightly called) contested the senatorial position of Adamawa North in 2019 under the umbrella of PDP; when APC was fully in charge of Adamawa state. He won! Later on, he switched to APC because he "felt" the present governor (PDP) is single handedly running the party. He left the PDP and went to APC. In this same APC, he still won the ticket to represent his senatorial zone come 2023.

For your information, APC needs him in Adamawa state because of his ability to carry the youth along. He's occupying a position and he needs to stand up for his people. He's not a "rubber stamp" senator.

If APC decides to expel him from the party because they're unable to tame him, he'll just move to another party and still make an impact.

Just know that he's a step ahead in every political calculation here in the state. Never underestimate Cliff.
