It's on video record that Ayu said he will willingly resign if the PDP presidential candidates emerge from the north. That's if the PDP ask him to step aside. So who are those in the PDP that has the "powers" to ask Ayu to step down? These are the people Gov. Wike is actually fighting with. It's the same "powers" that are holding on to Ayu because they feel if the party chairmanship goes to the South, Wike will indirectly have more powers to convince the electorate in his region to do what he wants. And to them, Wike can no more be trusted From political permutations, HE Atiku will prefer to lose Wike than to ask Ayu to resign. And Wike will not allow peace to reign because if he cannot have a say in who becomes the chairman, he has lost his grip on the national party structure like he had initially.
