Governor Fayose accuses Buhari of employing failed economic policies in Nigeria Says President Buhari is deceiving himself Describes foreign trips as waste of funds Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to devalue the Nigerian naira on the grounds that the currency has already been devalued owing to the gap between the official rate of N199 and open market rate of over N400 to one dollar. Governor Fayose has called for the devaluation of the nation’s currency, the naira. Fayose also accused Buhari of applying his 1984 failed economic policy in which prices of goods were fixed not minding the cost of supply. The governor noted that such policy in time past resulted in essential commodities like milk and sugar being scarce, leading to Nigerians lining up in the sun to buy rationed commodities. According to Premium Times, Fayose in a release issued in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, February 21, decried that there was no time in the history of Nigeria that the gap between dollar official rate and open market rate was more than N200. He said the federal government was causing business to fold daily and prices of goods to skyrocket by calculating the country’s revenue on the basis of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) official rate of N199 to a dollar while states and local councils that who share the revenue with the federal government run their businesses at the open market rate of over N400 to one dollar. The governor faulted Buhari for wasting money on foreign trips saying:”President Buhari has traveled to 24 countries in eight months, and will be spending 16 out of the 29 days in February outside the country, with over $500,000 being spent on estacode while the Presidential Air Fleet, which includes fueling of the planes and allowances for crew members is said to be in the range of $500,000. “The President’s entourage obviously collect their travel allowances in dollars on official rate of N199 and come back to Nigeria to change it at the open market rate of N400. That must be the reason they encourage the President to be junketing abroad when life is becoming unbearable for Nigerians.” Fayose called on the president to stop deceiving himself by devaluing the naira, noting that anything other than this will mean that we are “deceiving ourselves with forced foreign exchange rates”. Meanwhile, Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, insisted on Sunday, February 20, that the 2016 budget was not padded as being speculated in some quarters. He said that the total figure voted for all ministries had not exceeded N6.08 trillion which was the official sum proposed by the government. |
– A 1500-year-old Bible found in Turkey claims Jesus Christ was not crucified – It also states he was not the son of God but a Prophet – Religious authorities insist that the book is authentic Earth-shattering news are coming from various websites! The 1500-year-old Bible, which was discovered in Ankara, Turkey’s capital, in 2000, refutes the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Moreover, it says that he was not the son of God but a Prophet, who didn’t die and ascended into heaven alive. The 1500-year-old bible was found in Turkey, in the Ethnography Museum of Ankara It also states that it was Judas Iscariot who was actually crucified and calls Apostle Paul the Impostor. This information was taken from the gospel of Barnabas, who in this work is one of the twelve apostles. There is a theory that the modern Bible was formed out of four canonical gospels by the Catholic Church during the Council of Nicea, while the Gospel of Barnabas as well as many others were omitted. The book along with antiquities, illegal excavations, and explosives were reportedly confiscated from a group of smugglers in a Mediterranean-area operation. It is written in the Aramaic language with gold letters and onto loosely-tied leather. The Bible that contradicts the New Testament teachings of Christianity is reportedly valued up to 40 million Turkish Liras (about $28m). While authenticity of the book is still under question some experts and religious authorities believe that it is original. However, some scholars branded the Gospel of Barnabas Bible a forgery written during the Middle Ages. Meanwhile, the Vatican has asked Turkish authorities to let them examine the contents of the book.

Nigeria’s minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige has finally opened up on the protests by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) for a sovereign state. The former governor of Anambra state, who spoke with Naij.com in Alor, venue of his late father’s funeral ceremony, insisted that there is nothing like Biafra. According to him, the protesters are only a group of discontented people, a situation which is not peculiar to the eastern part of the country where they are domiciled. Senator Chris Ngige addressing people during the condolence visit to his Alor residence on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Photo: Emmanuel Osodi When asked what he thinks about the incessant protests by the pro-Biafrans, he noted with a lot of assurance, that the protesters are to the east, what Boko Haram is to the northern part of the country and the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) in the southwestern part of the country. Senator Chris Ngige and his elder brother, Chief Edwin Ngige. Photo: Emmanuel Osodi He said, therefore, that there is really no need for Nigerians to panic about their presence or activities as they would be handled the same way others were dealt with by the federal government. “Biafra? What do you mean by Biafra?” he retorted rhetorically when asked about the struggle by the protesters. “There is no struggle anywhere. There is even no agitation. It is just discontent.” Senator Chris Ngige during the condolence visit to his residence on Saturday, January, 2016. Photo: Emmanuel Osodi. “In Yoruba land, they say they are OPC, Oodua Peoples Congress; in the Niger Delta, they say they are militants; in the northern part of Nigeria, especially the northwest and northeast, they say they are Boko Haram. They are against western education. They say that it is from western education that they learn how to steal money. “So, it is discontent. The people who say they are doing Biafra agitation are the same thing and they will be handled the same way others have been handled. Dialogue!” the former Senator quickly added.

If there is anybody reaping the reward of his hardwork, Nigeria’s minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige is certainly doing that. Apart from being very popular among his people, he has also taken time to get a good edifice for himself, where he can relax after the hassles of being a public servant. Naij.com’s crew was at the recent burial ceremony he organised for his late father, Pa Pius Okonkwo Ngige, at his Alor, Anambra state residence, and the sight of the mansion was a beauty to behold.Little wonder every road that led to the sleepy community was tarred as everyone kept hailing the good works of their former senator and governor.Below are some pictures of the building as captured by Naij.com: https://www.naij.com/706360-need-see-big-mansion-chris-ngige-lives-anambra-photos.html

Cardinal John Onaiyekan, the Catholic Bishop of Abuja Arch Diocese, has said that President Muhammadu should ask religious leaders for help if he wants to receive success. Onaiyekan noted this on January 23, during the priestly ordination of nine priests in the diocese. The famous cleric state that the change mantra of the All Progressives Congress government can only become a success if the administration gives a forum for the active cooperation of religious organisations in the current war against corruption. He said: “There should be such arrangement whereby government officials and religious people can sit down and see how we can all contribute to the fight against corruption. “For the moment I don’t think we have gotten the forum for that kind of cooperation. “If we you want people’s heart to change you have to reach out to us, we are the experts in that,” the Cardinal said. Meanwhile, Onaiyekan stated that religious leaders have a moral responsibility to assist in the fight against corruption. “Although we don’t have to wait for them to tell us, but my own believe is that if there is a conscious effort to work together, the impact will be more serious,” the cleric said. “Nine ordinations in one cathedral at once is a big news, even in the big churches of the world. “We are among the front liners in the league of nations of the world, in terms of faith,” Oniayekan noted. He advised the newly appointed priests to stand out, in a world slowly floating towards materialism. “Even if the world is standing for materialism, the priest must stand out, so that other people can see them and emulate, and so that homily can preach louder,” the bishop said. Cardinal John Olorunfemi Onaiyekan recently stated that Nigerian president remains a dictator. During Buhari’s military regime, almost 500 people were jailed for corruption and wasting taxpayers’ money. However, the president many times restated that he had turned to democracy. |

You may envy the wild life of young, single men. You might imagine their escapades, that they sleep with a different woman every night. Maybe you remember sowing your own wild oats — or regret that you didn’t sow more while you had the chance. But I have news for you: Research has shown that married men have significantly more s*x than their single counterparts. Why? Well, my guess is that it’s simply a lot of work for a single man to repeatedly find a new s*x partner. As a married man, on the other hand, you have (theoretically) a s*xual partner by your side every day. So, you may wonder, why you aren’t having more s*x? If you’re a married man who has a home, a job, a kid or two, and a wife who also works, it is likely because stress is wearing you both out and pulling you apart. You, your wife, or both of you may feel that you’re so overwhelmed and exhausted that the last thing you want at the end of the day is s*x. Yet se*uality is a natural and essential part of intimate human partnerships. And men who have regular s*xual release are healthier than those who don’t. So what can you do to create an atmosphere of greater intimacy and more s*x? Creating a climate for intimacy is easier than you might think. Small changes make a big difference. So here are five simple strategies to help you have more s*x with your wife, starting today. 1. Do relaxing breathing twice a day – When men are stressed, their testosterone levels drop. And when their levels drop, they have a lower libido. Relaxing breaths reduce stress. Dr. Weil suggests doing a 4:7:8 breath four times, twice a day. Inhale through the nose to the count of 4. Hold your breath for the count of 7. And then exhale through your mouth to the count of 8. 2. Go to bed at the same time as your wife – This may seem like a no-brainer, but the truth is that many couples develop chronic patterns of separate bed times. Doing so creates a climate of separateness and emotional distance. While going to bed together at night doesn’t ensure that you will actually have s*x, it does begin to create an environment of closeness. Pick at least one or two nights a week when you always go to bed together. Start your bed time with spooning or snuggling and see where it leads. 3. Compliment and thank your wife every day – Nothing leads more to “come hither” than gratitude and compliments. Women — and men for that matter — want to be appreciated. They want to be noticed, admired, and complimented. When you saturate your relationship with gratitude and the good energy of appreciation, your wife can’t help but want to be close to you… in every way. Conversely, nothing leads more to “not tonight dear” or “I have a headache” than complaints. Don’t kill the mood with chronic criticisms. Keep the compliments flowing. 4. Make a date for s*x and have it be a special evening – Many couples think it’s unromantic to plan a s*x date. However, when life gets busy, spontaneity may never happen! Plan, anticipate and enjoy the wait. Hint at what you are looking forward to and build the anticipation. When the time comes, try showering together, lighting candles or massaging with lotion. Have a leisurely evening of sensuality. Women, in particular, enjoy the ritual and soft touch of romance. 5. Talk to your wife and listen! You might want to have s*x in order to feel connected but guess what? Women want to feel connected in order to have s*x. They want to know that they’re in a relationship that involves real emotional intimacy and sharing. s*x should be one part of a pattern of talking together, sharing ideas, hearing each other, spending time together, and having each other’s backs. And, for women, chatting reduces stress. You don’t need to solve her problems. In fact, you don’t really need to say much at all. Just spend a little time each day listening to the woman you love. Then watch her stress levels drop and her sense of connection to you skyrocket. Use these five strategies to create more intimacy, more connection, more sizzle, and less stress in your marriage. Your wife will thank you and you’ll realize that those single men are the ones that ought to be dreaming about being a married guy just like you! |
