The only advantage russia has over the US is the number of nukes.
Which is not really an advantage because the US has more nukes than she will ever need.
It wouldn't take the US a year to build atleast 100 of the most biggest nukes the world has ever seen.
Russia has T bomb known as mother if all bombs ..but USA

Tkester:
ALEPPO, SYRIA - OCTOBER 06: Smoke rises after Russian airtrikes hit ammunition-stores and bases of two opposition groups, in Mansoura region in the west of Aleppo, Syria on October 06, 2015.

On Oct. 7, Russian warships in the Caspian Sea fired 26 high-tech cruise missiles at rebel targets in Syria—a staggering 1,000 miles away.

The missiles in question, which the Pentagon calls SS-N-30s, were mostly unknown to the outside world before the Oct. 7 raid. Even close watchers of the Russian military were surprised to see them. The missile attack was also highly visible. In many ways, it was an announcement to the world, and America in particular, that the once-dilapidated Russian navy is back in action—and that Putin’s missileers are now among the planet’s most advanced.

Planning for the missile attack began on Oct. 5, six days after Moscow’s warplanes conducted their first bombing runs on rebel holdouts in western Syria. Russia is intervening in Syria ostensibly to help the Damascus regime defeat the so-called Islamic State widely known as ISIS, but the Russian attacks seem to be hitting ISIS’s enemies more than the terror army itself. What’s more, critics point out, Syria provides Moscow strategic access to the Mediterranean Sea.

“Russian reconnaissance had discovered a number of important objects of militants, which were to be destroyed immediately,” the Russian Defense Ministry explained in a statement. Drones, surveillance satellites, radio interception, and human spies on the ground helped planners select the targets, the ministry added.

“The strikes engaged plants producing ammunition and explosives, command centers, storages of munitions, armament, and [oil], as well as a training camp of terrorists on the territory of Raqqa, Idlib, and Aleppo,” according to the ministry. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said the missiles struck all 11 planned targets.

The Russian military celebrated the raid with a press release and an official video, and Shoigu went on national TV to praise the operation. Kurdish militiamen shot video they claimed depicted the missiles flying over northern Iraq. And the U.S. military apparently closely tracked the rocket-powered, guided munitions—and later claimed that several malfunctioned and crashed in Iran.

Eric Wertheim, an independent U.S. naval analyst and author of the definitive Combat Fleets of the World, a reference guide to warships and their weapons, agrees, saying of the missile volley: “I think it was a demonstration to the world.”

Wertheim and other foreign analysts were familiar with an earlier version of the SS-N-30 called the SS-N-27, but the latter is an anti-ship missile and the analysts assumed it could only fly 150 miles or so—a fraction of the roughly thousand miles the rockets traveled during the recent raid.

The SS-N-30 obviously boasts a much greater range than its predecessors and can also strike targets on dry land. That makes it broadly similar to the American Tomahawk missile, which the U.S. military traditionally fires in large numbers from ships and submarines in order to wipe out enemy air defenses before conducting aerial bombing campaigns. The U.S. Navy fired Tomahawks to hit the most heavily defended ISIS targets at the beginning of the American-led air war over Syria in September 2014.

Very few countries posses Tomahawks or similar munitions—and only the United States and Great Britain have ever successfully used them in combat. Now Russia has joined that exclusive club of global military powers. And that should worry the Pentagon, Wertheim said: “It should be a wakeup call that we don’t have a monopoly on the capability.”

What’s particularly striking is that Moscow has been able to build this long-range naval strike capability with much smaller vessels than anyone thought possible. In the U.S. Navy, large destroyers, cruisers, and submarines carry Tomahawk cruise missiles—and those vessels are typically at least 500 feet long and displace as many as 9,000 tons of water.

The four brand-new warships that launched the SS-N-30s were much, much smaller—ranging in length from 200 to 330 feet and displacing no more than 1,500 tons of water. “Small ships, big firepower,” Wertheim commented.

That matters because, after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, Russia’s shipbuilding industry suffered a long period of deep decline that the Kremlin has lately struggled to reverse. That has had a profound effect on the Russian navy. “There are relatively few new warships in service at present and the ones that have been commissioned in recent years are all relatively small,” Dmitry Gorenburg, from Harvard University’s Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, wrote in a recent analysis.

But the October barrage proves that even the small warships that Russia is building can strike hard and far—something that, once upon a time, only the United States and its closest allies could do. Moscow’s missile raid helps re-establish Russia as a global military power. “They’re very serious about this,” Wertheim said.

MayorofLagos:
You are a mumu big time.

Go and look at all the major towns in Kwara and tell me which one bears Hausa name or Fulani name.
Yoruba is majority in Kwara, followed by Bariba, then followed by Nupe and lastly Hausa/Fulani.

All the towns in Kwara State bear Yoruba names except two....one is Bariba and other is Nupe. In fact Jebba, the Northernmost part of Kwara and directlybon the bank of Niger is a Yoruba town ruled by an Oba.

Hausa is not the language of Kwara, Yorhba is. Hausa/Fulani is deceiving itself when it claims it has hold on Kwara or Ilorin. They will have first to own Niger State and Nupeland before they can own Kwara, a Yorubaland.

Kwara was called West Central State and the rule of military and all kind of edicts and decrees strenghtened Northern grip on Kwara. The destiny of Emirate in Ilorin will end when the current Emir dies. Kwarans themselves are working on it but each time the center is Presided by a Northerner, people like Saraki are empowered by the center bevause they serve as the Hausa Fulani proxies and are North-Centric in their views.

You need to listen to Rilwaney and learn or go to official Kwara State website and learn.
He is from kwara and he has made this clear and even gave you his nber. So don't argue him

I wish to congratulate all those who are contributing to make this thread a success. One year and we are at 400 pages. We are Anambrarians Light of the nation, Trail blazers and Giants among men.

That beside, I want to point out something that has been eating away at my heart. I know this fact that Anambra state is the second smallest state by land mass after Lagos state and I am therefore appealing to the present state Government let by His Excellency Willie Obiano to map out like 2 or 3 areas in Anambra state as Forest Reserves not to be tampered with, not to witness any tree felling and bush burning. Or create an arboretum within the three major delevoping territories namely Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi. I do not mean the size of park besides Zik's home at Onitsha but someplace the size of Jardim Botânico, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil . We should take care of our environment and it will in turn add to our general well-being and longevity.

Please those of you close to the powers that be or who can voice it somewhere it will receive attention @FKO81, @investnow2013, @uduokirika1, @Chino11 and others...who are not less regarded should take this to heart.

I was here at page 400

WHY 26PLUS LADIES, LETS TAKE IT TO 20 PLUS MEN

UR DOING A FAB JOB
Toks2008:
I think you should epic understand the rationale for the thread before making your "epic" conclusion and NEWSFLASH! The thread has not and will not fail..NEVER.

The primary aim is for mature minds to come interact NOT TO COME LOOK FOR A WIFE OR HUSBAND but because human interaction can never be void of the possibility of hooking up hence could also be a template for that to happen.

Why i clmoured for 26plus ladies is because most of what we discuss here is relationship oriented and except you want to be untrue to yourself,if you line up 100 26yr old ladies and guys then ask them all if they are ready for marriage i can bet that 90 out of the 100 ladies will say yes while the exact opposite wil be for the guys.

This thread like every other interactive medium is a mix of those who just want to interact as the primary aim and of-course those who need a man or woman to create a special bond with.

Because of the latter group,it becomes imperative to widen the criteria for the inclusion of more people hence the need to bring down the age of ladies to 26plus.

Nevertheless if it remains as it is, it will still not die off because as long as we that are here already are still alive,we will always come her to drop few lines so it will never die off even if it may not have as much traffic as it used to.

European Union ministers yesterday agreed to build camps in Africa to send illegal migrants after Theresa May told them they had to ‘up their game’ around deportations.
The Home Secretary called time on the farce that has meant hundreds of thousands of failed asylum seekers have not been kicked out.Ministers from across Europe agreed to start drawing up plans for removal centres in places such as Africa to speed up returns.

There can be delays in removing failed asylum seekers and illegal migrants if there are not agreements with their home countries.Under the proposal, these people could be sent to regional holding centres near to their countries of origin while they wait rather than remaining in Europe.Of the 470,000 migrants ordered to return home by EU countries last year, only 192,000 or 41 per cent, ended up leaving.
By comparison, 76 per cent of the 65,000 people told by Britain they could not stay left.

EU ministers yesterday agreed tough new measures compelling countries to forcibly remove those found to be here illegally.Detention centres will be built across the continent and removal squads will be employed to make sure those told to leave actually go.Governments will also use the threat of withdrawing aid to African countries to persuade them to take back their people. The countries have pledged to spend 800 million euros (£590million) over the next six years on improving returns.Officials hope the stronger stance will help the influx of migrants by deterring those who are not genuine refugees from coming.

stinggy:
Which merit has Ibadan and Akure airports served?

Did you read FAAN's report? If you do, you will realize that projects like this rather than contribute to states' economy, turns to liability.
One 4 airports are viable in the whole Nigeria - Lagos, Kano, PH and Abuja. Others are liabilities that can't even run on their own except for heavy government financing, money that could easily be used judiciously on profitable aspects of the economy.

Go online and see if you can book a flight to commercial flight to Akure airport which is just around 50km to Ekiti. As at last December, Ibadan airport is serviced by only Overland and Aero, and they hardly pull a flight per day.

If you're familiar with Ekiti, you'll know an airport should never be in any reasonable governor's agenda for now. Who are the targeted passengers? Those civil servants right? Or how many companies are there in Ekiti?

Aregbe building an airport in Osun is already a bad move, Fayose's decision is worse.
Who told you ? Owerri airport and Enugu is flying seriously ..check your air traffic reports
