CHoccolaTE: Please, please and please, tribalists keep away from this thread, this is not intended to be a tribe bashing thread, just meant to point out something good and acknowledge it.
I've had many Igbo friends and neighbours and acquaintances in my life and one thing I noticed about majority if them is that they are very intelligent. Crazy intelligent. intact the smartest people I've come across are Igbo, not saying other tribes are not also smart but Igbo's clearly stand out. That's even a major reason why I draw myself close to them.
Note: Delta Igbos are NOT part of the Igbos I am referring to. The Delta Igbos in my opinion have features similar to Urhobos, Ijaws and other Delta tribes. My thread is referring to pure Igbo's from the East, Imo, Abia, Anambra etc. I like them for their intelligence that stands out. And their hardworking, enterprising natures. Also, their men really know how to be there when their family needs them and the women keep the family together, through all odds, thick and thin. You hardly hear of divorces from that tribe. I've had nothing but luck with my Igbo friends. They challenge you to be competitive and force you to wisen up and be smart. And they give great advice as well when you need it. Note again that Delta Igbos are not part of the Igbos this thread is talking about. Infact I don't regard Delta Igbos as real Igbos, their way of thinking and behaving is just like the deltas I grew up with in Delta State.
I am not Igbo, before some people come here and start accusing me of hyping my own tribe.
Just showing love to my Igbo brothers and sisters, Pls note there is nothing like pure Igbo or not brother .... Well I appreciate this and know wise men come from east most times |

ziddy: This is simple.
The shift in crime statistics occurred when the criminals were flushed out of the south east, which used to be their base approximately five years ago. What these statistics has neglected to state (because the pollsters need to be politically correct) is that a disproportionate number of the perpetrators of these horrible crimes are Ibo criminals, driven out of their home bases by productive engagement between their state executive arm and the security agencies.
Southwest APC executives are busy embezzling their own security votes, while they divert their state resources to the private tax regime imposed by by the APC national leadership.
The beauty of life is that God continues to judge every one of us by the works of our hands. Every single account will be settled, including the hidden ones. I think it is reverse migration the criminals migrated from west and igbos chased them away where they came from Don't you think so |

Onegai: Proudly Deltan, married Delta, keeping the bloodlines pure
For those Ika with Igbo names, please check History: our grandparents answered names corresponding to Bini. But by the mid-60s, when Deltans came to Lagos, they didn't want to be a small group and named their children Igbo names and joined Igbo communities. My 104 year old grandmother and Father mapped our family tree and showed me all the names and explained this to me. So with your kids, find old Ika names like Utomi, Irabor, Isioma, Osadebey, Sombiri, Bienose, Arimolo, Onyiwelehim, Ikubor, Mekihien, Nosareme, Eronime, Erumoh, Nwaka, Ahagbulem, Ehimen, Iziegbe, Eterumeh etc and keep our traditions alive and pure. New twist. Revisionism . so did the change of name affected the culture also ....why do they have Igbo market days in ika ..did the Lagos mob follow them to ika to change their market days to eke afor etc...maybe the Lagos mob forced their king also to use Obi or dein - dee which is an Igbo term Nawa for lies shaa...u are not good at twisting history Now give us a better lies Maybe Igbo colonised ika Maybe Igbo women forced their men to change their names Is that your grand mum silly ? For your information 96% of those names you mentioned are basically Igbo Benin wannabe Identity crisis So why don't you answer Benin names almost all the names you wrote are Igbo names Odadebey is pure Igbo and all other names Find another lie |

I don't buy cars based on engine. ..Nigerian used cars are cheap and neat. The best thing is just don't bother doing anything in the engine just buy another engine or half engine put simple change the shocks and bearing I buy car based on body and interior not engine ..you can't change chassis but can change engine That camry is 400k in Nigeria used one that is very clean allshe will do is just put like 100k or less in it. Toks2008: One big reason why i love this thread is because for the first time mature minds and age are having a thread that will be geared towards networking and socializing because honestly im fed up with mixed threads where teenagers and adolescents just relate with you as though you are mates with them and a boy of 20 will be cursing a 40year old as though they are mates..
It may interest many to know that the best place to hook up(not date) is online and when i create a thread explaining why then you all will agree with me.
The quality of ladies i have hooked up with as friends online have surpassed the trial and error offl;ine friends and i believe with a thread like this, people can find true friendship and taking it to the next level will be a discretionary. Your correct ...I am not single but I think your correct and I enjoy the calmness in this thread ...it shows that a lot of kids are on nairaland .one can't even make comment without been insulted and most time you get to know their age by writing style ...another matured thread is car section and real estate ...forget politics that place is whack I think there should be section as in age in nairaland Yes I hated seasame street but loved speed racer .. Just 36 with lively family I don't believe in age notion. To be frank cos I have seen 43 yr old man reason like 21 yr old so I do not respect people based on age but on reasoning. I expect people to respect me bases on the same The problem we seem to have in Africa is that we attach too much respect to age and that is what is drawing us back . A child that is well traveled is wiser than an old man that stayed at home all his life ...igbo adage I love this thread....I feel been single isn't a curse...ask us that have family ..at a point you just can't have your privacy ..your been marooned and dictated .today one in-law tomorrow tehy will say don't you know your married ...society expects you to behave certain way ...you have lost your privacy Been single is been akin to a bird very free...you can have cookies and crunchies for dinner and you don't owe anybody explainatiob why you won't eat her food....and the women ..hmmm they will come But happy independence |
