Hello mummies, my 3 months plus DD has been having this rashes on her chest and upper left arm few weeks after birth. It will clear off at some point and return on that exact spots few days after. At this moment we are on it again and her face has joined this time around. Apart from these areas, her skin is very smooth and shiny and she’s never had diaper rash even though we change brands every now and then. Please, help me out. I need permanent solution. She uses Sebamed baby body wash and body milk |
Thank you for your input mama, I’m grateful. That tummy rub works, almost immediately I started! Now she’s asleep and smiling, I’m also smiling back at her ![]() hunniesuzie: |
Thank you mummy, I think the soya milk I drank and zero coke are the culprit for the increased pain she’s having. Thank you so much babythug: |
I’m presently putting pressure on her tummy and guess what, she let out a huge gas with difficulty though, and I’m relieved she’s getting some relief. God bless you and yours SlimBrawnie: |
Thank you ma, I’d try those SlimBrawnie: |
Sabi mamas pls come o, my baby grunts and stretches a lot at night that it’s difficult for her to sleep and when she does that, her stomach tightens with each distressed sound she makes. It has stopped for few days and now she has it last night and it’s worse this time around that nobody could sleep. We are at MIL’s and she already got several herbs for her when the thing wasn’t much because she believed it’s her navel giving her discomfort. She gave her twice which there was no result and instructed me to be giving her ( she handed the herbs to me) I never for once gave her those because I’m not comfortable with those concoction on a baby that’s still developing her organs. I could have gone to the hospital but the private hospital I went to when I wasn’t feeling well gave me 18injections in 3days with several drugs and I’m still here battling with same symptoms so I don’t want my baby to be experimented on. I’ve been to general hospital trice and I was unable to see the doctor. Please mamas, who has experienced this issue before should come to my aid pls. |
But my voice is bad at singing well, this is motherhood, we’ll thrive.Aitee1: |
My baby likes being sang to and I don’t know any song to sing. I went to App Store to download an app for the purpose but it’s not loading. Please mamas, give me suggestions, lullabies, nursery rhymes and all. Maybe app and book recommendations. |
Happy Sunday mamas, here is my experience with my hospital which is NHIS accredited. I was tested positive to herpatitis B. and the vaccine my baby will be given, according to the doctor is 75k and it’s not covered by NHIS. When I left his office, I went straight to the guy in charge of HMO and he confirmed it’s 90% covered so, I’d pay for the 10%. I relayed everything to my hubby and he said he’d find out. My hubby contacted their headquarters and he was told it’s FULLY covered (100%) each time I went for ante natal , the doctor would always remind me of the amount I’m to pay for the vaccine so, we can be prepared and in my mind I’d just be thinking, these people don’t know my husband o ![]() When I had my baby, a request was made for the vaccine through phone call (note that he already told him it’s 75k) He puts the phone on speaker and the lady said it’s 55k. Could you believe, this doctor told my hubby 75k again when he heard their conversation clearly. That’s where trouble started o. Hubby was already furious at this time, he told them to bring the vaccine and he’d pay the 55k he heard on phone. The vaccine was brought and administered.Hubby made a call to Abuja to complain , the hospital name was asked and he gave them then they called the hospital, come and see commotion everywhere. The doctor was restless and was surprised at the same time it got to a point he asked hubby if he knew the director. Hubby told him he knew what he was doing and he purposely paid for the vaccine because he doesn’t want to put his baby at risk if he had started off calling and reporting them to NHIS. Full refund was made to hubby, we paid our 10% for delivery and left. Now, what if hubby doesn’t know the right channel to contact and make enquiry? That’s how we would have been scammed and the hospital would still get paid by NHIS again. |
I’d do that soon ma ![]() sunbestie: |
BS Part 2 The nurse attached to me was lecturing me on the pros and cons of CS but I wasn’t listening, DH was trying to ease the pain with back rubs and soothing words but nothing worked infact, I was now angry with everything and everyone. My next check, I was 4cm. To cut the extremely long story short, I didn’t know what I was experiencing was preamble to what’s to come. Hmm, when the real contractions started, I was in another planet. By then, I had cancelled the thought of CS entirely. I was moved to the delivery room when I was finally fully dilated. To the glory of God, I had my 4kg princess and severe tear which took 50mins to stitch and guess what, both injection and drip given to numb the pains I’d get from being stitched up had zero effect so, I was in excruciating discomfort and pain through the whole process. It’s been 3 weeks and I can finally sit without lady sept pad. Another doctor that was on duty the second day which was the day we were discharged was furious and actually ranting about the other doctor allowing me birth a 4kg baby. In my mind, I was thinking, how could he have known when they didn’t even put me through a scan to see any possible last minute change. There’s an issue I’d like to discuss based on my experience with an NHIS accredited hospital but another time. Thanks for reading through my epistle. I am brilliant at summarizing but this case pass summary, this is the best summary I could come up with. Safe and swift delivery to our waddling mamas ![]() |
BS Part 1 I know it’s long due but pardon me. Being my first pregnancy and knowing that I was pregnant right from the first week, counting months, weeks and days was all I could think of and it felt like I’ve been pregnant like forever. MS was hellish and my DH had it on full wheel, when everyone was hot, I’d be freezing and vice versa. I couldn’t eat and the only way I could drink water was to add lemon and watery pap became the only thing I could manage to smell and ingest apart from my lemon water. There was no spitting nor vomiting but there were days I’d pray to vomit but it just won’t happen. Middle of Second trimester, things changed and the glow sets in the way I was glowing and looking radiant ehn, the mirror and selfie became my hobby. While some of my colleagues at work were giving compliments, few of the females said I’d be so ugly when I gave birth with how pretty I looked but I bless the name of the Lord, 3 weeks postpartum and the glow hasn’t fade .On the 31st of March which was a Sunday, I was Hot and using style to touch DH but he won’t even look at my side as I became an egg to him as I reached 37 weeks to him, any small thing can trigger labor. I sha resigned to faith and slept off around 12:30. I woke sometimes later to pee and was having ‘stomach pain’ going to the toilet became regular and the contractions were coming. At 3:30am my husband insisted we left for the hospital which we did. (It was a 5mins drive from our home). We got to the hospital and was checked only to be 2cm, you mean with all that I’m feeling it’s only 2cm? Ok o, I kept my hope on. 4hrs later, I told DH that I should be around 8cm because I was seeing stars. The doctor checked and I’m still 2cm dilated then frustration sets in. I was begging DH to request for CS as I couldn’t endure anymore, the doctor said I was progressing and there’s no need for CS but I wouldn’t have it, it was the only thing that could end the torment. |
She pooed once, we’ve been to the hospital and we were told there’s no issue as EBF babies can go days without pooing. She eats well, sleep well and doesn’t cry unless she’s hungry. rvpbae: |
Thank you ma keeki: |
I want to believe she did that in the amniotic sac and her stomach isn’t hard plus she doesn’t disturb or seem to be distressed. iaatmgirl: |
Thank you mama comtem2011: |
Chai! Thank God my stitches are healing and I can laugh if not, hmmmm hunniesuzie: |
Please, I need opinions on brands of baby perfume that are safe for baby’s use. I didn’t buy while shopping because I thought it’s not necessary now, MIL is insisting on it for when we want to go out as her GD must smell nice ![]() |
Yes, we do EBF. Thank you ma. hunniesuzie: |
Sabi mamas, my little girl is 9days old and hasn’t poo’ed in her diaper. The only time she did was when mentholatum was dipped in her anus and warm water was consistently poured in her anus. She was passing the fences as the act was going on. That has been the only time she pooed, what do I do pls? |
I bought sebamed products for my little girl too but I’ve not started using the body milk. She uses original Shea butter mixed with pure coconut oil and so far, there has been no issue. My girl’s skin isn’t dry though. eolowu1: |
Amen ma Gracedom: |

Good day mamas, just had my baby this afternoon and my breast is not lactating at all plus my nipples are inverted. What do I do pls? |
BA With joy in my heart, I’m pleased to announce the birth of my angel today at 2:25 PM weighing 4KG with massive tear |
It’s in my hospital list, flask only though they’d provide hot water for when you just had your baby and can’t eat solid yet, you’d need tea even for increasing lactation hotmomma: |

38weeks yesterday and I’ve been having mild abdominal cramps at the bottom of my belly, it goes down to my anus making me feel I need to use the restroom, during this period, I feel my heartbeat hardened and increased and also feeling nauseous at the same time then everything stops and I’m back to normal. Then it starts in another few minutes with same pattern. Who else is experiencing this? What do I do as I’m confused? Is it normal at this stage? I also noticed that my baby’s weight is more on the left side since today and movement has been really active. |
Congratulations cappo, kisses to your joy Rbae: |
