Jumia used to be the preferred online store few years ago but they are now scammers. No quality control, terrible customer care. THEY WILL SOON FOLD UP. Dclique: I choose to buy from JUMIA to avoid issues like this. I didn't know i will later regret it. |
Phones › Re: My Terrible Experience Shopping With Jumia Nigeria by TOPAI7(m): 2:56pm On May 27, 2022 |
IT IS A MATTER OF TIME, JUMIA WILL SOON FOLD UP. I HAD A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM EARLIER THIS YEAR. THE BEST OPTION NOW IS TO BUY ONES PRODUCT DIRECTLY FROM A PHYSICAL STORE. Dclique: 9 days after buying a Bluegate UPS(42k) i reported that the item was defective and it even damaged my home theatre while running on the UPS batteries.
JUMIA customer care said I can't be refunded because Jumia only offers 7days warranty. Rather they will send me an address for repairs.
Now I have a damaged LG home theatre and a defective UPS. Double loss, all because i patronised Jumia Nigeria.
Hope my experience will save someone from making the same mistake. |

Thanks for the prompt response. Lekiboboe: Hi,
Due to your Site supervision and management 10 years work experience, there is no academic nor career progression going for a Chemistry related program. A Visa Officer will/might likely see this as a red flag in your Visa Application. A Visa Officer will expect you to go for a Program related to your work experience.
It's better for you to go for a PG.CERT program related to your Site Supervision and Management work experience, that shows a career progression
PG. Cert in - Construction Management - Project Management - Construction Project Management are good options for you
Since you will be going for a Program not related to your degree, but related to your work experience, go through the contents in the link below https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/414#95068409
Await other suggestions from the house |

Good day, Mr Anon123. Thanks for the professional advice that you continuously give to applicant free of charge, May God bless you richly. I am a graduate of Chemistry, Second class lower. My career path in the last ten years has been more of Site supervision and management. From the Nairaland thread, I realized that the preferred program to go for is a two years PGD. I have checked more than 50 colleges and still counting to search for colleges that have PGD in chemistry related courses, the best fit so far are the 2 colleges stated below: (1) Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Kwantlen University College)Admission requirement : The Technical Management and Services (TMAS) program is designed for emerging technical professionals who have competed a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical program such as applied sciences or information technology Url: https://calendar.kpu.ca/programs-az/business/technical-management-services/(2) Lambton collegeAdmission Requirements A university degree in Science, Pharmacy or Engineering with appropriate preparation in Maths and Chemistry Url: https://www.lambtoncollege.ca/custom/LambtonApps/Programs/International.aspx?id=2147510964&location=TorontoPlease should i expand my search to include business or management program based on my Site supervision and management role, Or which other PGD program should I include in my search? Thanks for your support and prompt response. Anon123: The chances of meeting the admission requirements is low.
A PGD is your best bet |

They can work something in replacement of the catalyst . I did something similar at Oyingbo. The rate of catalyst theft is too much. baba4thegehs: Good evening everyone. Bought a Honda Accord 07 this today, but my mechanic noticed there is not Catalyst in the car, said it cost about 90k to get a replacement or I get someone to manually create a makeshift one for the car. I honestly don't want to spend much to fix the car.
I need an advise on what to do??
Please help. |

mirob: Please what’s your opinion on Elemax generator 5.5kva, can it power 2 industrial sewing machine , 1 inverter AC, 1 steam iron and fans. Thanks . I am yet to buy it, these pictures are my friend’s own. The ability to carry these items is a function of the wattage rating of the above equipment. Kindly provide the wattage of all the above equipment. There are some irons that are 3500w, one of that only will drain a high percentage of the 5.5kva generator. |

The Sienna 2011 upwards is a much better option than Previa 2011 upward in terms of looks, feel, durability, reliability and resale-ability. Both have low ground clearance level. Other space wagon options are Mazda MPV, Honda Odyssey, Nissan Quest. Nature of Nigeria road should also be considered when choosing a vehicle. nannymcphee: hello house, Please can the expert in the house recommend a family car. I don't want an SUV.
Family of 5, we have outgrown our current sedan
I am considering the Sienna 2011 and the Previa 2011 model upwards. The Corolla Verso would have been ideal but the last row is too small.
My issue with the Sienna 2011 upwards is, it's too big and long while the Previa doesn't seem to be common here in Nigeria, save for the lower models used for Transport service (my main concern bothers on parts availability and competent mechanics for it)
1. Is the Previa 2011 model upward a good car?
2. Please Can more recommendations be made for 3 Row family car factoring in ease of getting parts and availability of competent mechanics

Peterlove11: Am considering getting crv07/08.....having used Honda pilot, is it advisable to make the move. Am particular about the driving experience. The pilot is a strong daily driver only poor on the mpg. Ranging from 9 to 13.4mpg depending on driving conditions within the city I thought it is only me that is experiencing the high fuel consumption of Pilot. What can be done to reduce the fuel consumption? |

Car Talk › Re: Why Are People Selling Off Their Pilots? by TOPAI7(m): 1:36pm On Jul 20, 2021 |
Thanks for your prompt responses. Which radiator coolant did you use? Yes, I think i need to scan. How much do they scan? Peterlove11: 5miles/litre on the highway......that's good. Am yet to try interstate. I remembered my pilot was doing 2miles/litre until the thermostat was fixed, I changed to total 5w30, then stat using radiator coolant instead of water. It jumped immediately to 3miles/litre that same month. I also noticed that if I take longer miles within the town at a stretch, the fuel consumption reduces overtime. 1.7miles/litre within city is low,I guess heavy traffic, frequent short trips might be a contributory factor. Scan your pilot. The code might pop up. Mine showed on scan that my thermostat wasn't in place. And it was fixed |
Car Talk › Re: Why Are People Selling Off Their Pilots? by TOPAI7(m): 9:23am On Jul 20, 2021 |
Peterlove11: 3miles per liter in the city. Mostly short trips of less than 5miles to and fro work. Mileage will definitely be better in long distance/highway travel As at the last check i got 1.7miles per litre for intra-city movement, July 2021; and i got an average of 5 miles per litre for inter-city (Lagos to Ibadan), Oct 2020. The difference between intra-city and inter-city consumption is much when compared to my previously owned Toyota products, though i have really enjoyed driving my Honda Pilot. |

Peterlove11: Scan the car.....is their check engine light. Is the car running in closed loop operation. Is the thermostat available and working properly. Yes, the engine light is on. I found that Honda pop up fault light at any slightest error.
Are you using the right engine oil, 5w20/5w30. Heavier oil will make the engine work harder, hence consume more fuel. I am using Mobil 5w-20 as recommended on the engine oil compartment cover.
Short trip within city will yield reduced mpg compared to longer highway trip due to the engine required time to get to operating temperature Are you using radiator coolant. No
First thing scan the car....am sure if your pilot is consuming unreasonable fuel, it will pop up codes WHAT IS YOUR AVERAGE MILES PER LITRE USAGE? |
