Sounds a bit familiar to me. My reading of this is (don't take this as an insult) you've finally grown balls!

You allowed her to boss you around and dictate to you throughout the courtship, but she always stayed a little bit nice not to scare you off. You somehow tolerated it for some reason (maybe just to get married or blinded by 'love') till you eventually tied the knot.

She simply showed more of the same character she's been showing all along, and just now, you've decided you can't take it anymore.
My advice is this - if you can't take it during marriage, don't take it in courtship. You tolerated this behaviour and it reinforced the idea in her head that she could get away with it.

I sympathise with you to an extent, I also have some of those tendencies - make peace at all costs, the passive nice guy. But no more - I've dealt with that aspect and developed a partly ruthless streak as well.
