tasalanoni: I can't quantify the benefits I derive from listening to classicals. Is it the calmness of mind, inner peace, lightness, inspiration from luminous spheres, comfort in distress?
Spotify is the best thing that happened to music..🙏🙏 Well, that's good. I don't only listen to classical music too, I do classical music as well. It's great to meet a classical music lover here |

tasalanoni: Classicals by Handel, J S Bach, corelli, Hadyn, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Galway Flutes, Locatelli..
I like the fact that they aren't very popular. I can't afford to have them desecrated by our distasteful appreciation of music. You're into classical music? That's nice. I am too. |
Romance › Re: Can't Get Over My Ex. Please Advice Me by Torresmannl(m): 6:58pm On May 22, 2022 |
I think that you have not completely healed from your last relationship before getting into another one. You got into this relationship as a rebound of your last one that's why you feel the way you feel.
You need to completely get over your ex first, get over the hurt you feel before moving forward with this relationship. You have to explain things to your new guy. Be open and honest about it. If he truly believes that you both are meant to be, as hard as it may seem, he'll give you time to process things. |

lilvicky68: Wetin concern me so far as she enter newspaper for good thing is okay..if them like make them call her Nigerian grandmother or soon to be great grandmother or ancestor.. we go manage am like that.. No bro. These guys always believe that we are not as intellectually sound as they are so when they see us Blacks breaking records and setting new ones they become uncomfortable and intimidated. The caption may appear harmless on the face of it but their motives are bad. We gats clear dem on this one. Our people, more especially our women, are worth more than being house wives, nannies and Grand mothers (no offense intended to any of the aforementioned) but that we are as brilliant as they are and even better. |
Romance › Re: She Has A Child For Someone But Wants Me To Marry Her. Help by Torresmannl(m): 5:43pm On Jan 16, 2021 |
Well, if you truly love her, you'll look beyond the fact that she has a baby and marry her.
However, I'm concerned about the fact that she doesn't want to open up about the child's biological father. As her prospective husband, you have a right to know every detail as to what transpired between them. She trying to hide it raises a red flag for me.
Also, the fact that she's pressuring you to marry her is another red flag for me. There's more to it than what she's telling you..
If she cannot be honest with you right now, then you have to end things with her. Honesty, amongst other elements, must be present for the marriage to stand the test of time. Marriage is no joke. |

ModestGal: Well, I don't care about your feelings because dumb thinking is one reason why this country rots, and I have no pity for anyone contributing to the rots of this Nation, say the truth or keep quiet. Yes, we all know entrepreneurs are the richest, but the way your lots open mouth to tell struggling youths to learn a skill when job is mentioned is insulting and baffling, because you do not know the background of many of these people. Your lots talk as if job is not important, go and read the profiles of many rich people, and you will see at some points in their lives, they were working for someone, earning, and its from there that they had the thoughts of becoming entrepreneurs. Its from there they were able to save, think, plan etc How can someone who hasn't fed plan to start a business? How can someone without a cloth start a successful business? No, we are not equal, we are from different socioeconomic background, and thus, if the government do what is right, and many of our youths are able to get a job, then definitely, many of the same youths would leave the jobs to establish businesses.
Your lots talk as if people are not already learning skills, because you just want to go against humanity by all means, support your pastor, or support the failed government.
I have been in entrepreneurship for long, I knew what I went through before being able to learn my skills, being able to establish, if not for God's favour, there's no way I could have the skills I have today, but I won't because I have been able to scale through, look down or talk down on people who can't due to reasons beyond their control. I personally know people who struggled to sponsor self in the university, they already have skills, but they just need to work and gather some money to use
Please use your brain or keep quiet, again, I will never respectfully talk with someone who downgrade others just because God has made it easy for him The wise ones understood my position. If you're too dumb to comprehend it or you can't see this with an open mind then that's you're problem and not mine. I never said getting a job is a bad idea. If you want to wallow in your folly feel free but don't drag others into it. |

ModestGal: Are you a business man? Since you think graduates shouldn't look for a job but to go learn skills, kindly give us advice You need to help the youths by answering these questions so we can become entrepreneur like you 1. How did you steal the money you used in learning the skills? Since you never got any job prior that, and you think no one should look for a job 2. While learning the skills, you must have stolen money to feed as well, how were you not caught
3. The clothes you were wearing while learning the skills, which shoo did you steal them and how did you avoid being caught?
4. After you finished learning the skills, who did you kill for ritual to raise money for shop and to start the business and buy equipment
5. Now, let's assume, its on the internet, you don't need money for shops, kindly tell us whose phone you stole to upload your skill sets and where did you burgled to get money for data? And how did you escape being caught?
Kindly provide the answer so that the youths can follow your footsteps to become successful entrepreneurs, abi you don't know that learning tailoring ranges from 50k to 200k? If you read my post very well, you'll understand what I meant. I didn't say 9-5 is a bad thing or a wrong choice. I'm simply saying that we shouldn't depend on it for survival. Have multiple streams of income. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. You'd see that I mentioned that even some people on 9-5 still have side hustles what does that telk you? That it's very difficult to survive on a salaried employment hence, don't be too dependent on your salary. Learn a skill. PS: there are more mature ways of objecting to other people's opinions. You mustn't be rude about it. Thanks. |

In my opinion, he said the right thing but in a wrong way. The bitter truth is that the wealthiest and most successful people are those who are self employed, not those on paid jobs. I doubt you would see the name of any employee on the top 20 richest persons. They are all self employed. Your certificate isn't a guarantee of living a comfortable life, it's your skill that guarantees that provided you do it the right way.
Think about it, even some people who are on a 9-5 still have side hustles, why? Because here in Africa, you can't survive without having multiple streams of income. That's the sad truth. Education is important, infact, fundamental but learning a skill is essential. |
