Romance › Re: I Am In Love With A Girl That Just Finished Secondary School by tosyne2much(m): 11:15pm On Sep 09, 2017 |
gentlegenius: I think you are right. A girl that just finished secondary school is obviously still a teenager. Though dating a teenager is not wrong, but when you get serious and start thinking of marrying them, you'll certainly face one problem that is common among teenagers and even girls in their early 20. Their problem is Lack of commitment. I am speaking from experience because I've dated teenagers twice in my life. Just like the Op is secretly admiring her, she might also be secretly admiring him and look forward to dating him. But once you start dating her and commit yourself to her, she won't commit herself to you and won't do much to keep the relationship going. She will start mingling with others guys once she got admission and will Sometimes forget that you still exist. They don't care how you feel about their lack of commitment. This is exactly what I am facing now with the teenage girl I'm dating. She loves me but she just can't commit herself to the relationship. She wants to mingle with the wrong guys who have nothing good to add to her life. This also, is a general problem with our young girls. They will see a good guy they love, but just can't commit to him while they are still young. It's only when they are very close to 30 that they'll wake up and start committing themselves to relationships.
You may date a teenager but don't commit yourself too much to such relationship if you don't want disappointment or heart break. My brother you have said it all.. Case closed! Don't put high hopes on ladies that are still very young especially when you're looking for aife partner (teenagers and ladies in their early twenties) otherwise, they will starve you of commitment and you will be disappointed |

As an intending graduate considering to settle down shortly after school, it's not advisable you even date a girl in 200l let alone a girl that is still in the league of seeking admission into the university. It will make more sense for you to look for a lady with similar ideology.. Reason being that these ladies are usually not reliable, they are easily swayed and are susceptible to little temptations, so forget about this "marry her and let her further her education", things do not really work out as easy as we think
The truth is better they say |

Romance › Re: I'm A Young Female With A Good Job, Do I Really Have To Settle For Less? by tosyne2much(m): 7:41am On Sep 08, 2017 |
I just hope the OP will not miss it in the area of marriage
So, you base your sole criteria for companionship on financial capabilities and nothing more ? Also, you said you don't want to go below the standard of how you were brought up? You mean the fried rice and chicken? Regular shopping? Living in an air conditioned furnished apartment?
My sister, life does not really go the way we think, and I just hope it won't be too late before you understand this. Sometimes in life, we have to slightly bend our taste and standard before we can get what we want
My dear, standard is not enough to make someone your husband. Marriage is not all about getting married to someone that meets your standard, and I challenge you to go and ask married people if they ended up marrying according to their standard. Don't choose a life partner out of temporary situation
So forget about the fried rice your parents provide for you every morning. |
Romance › Re: I'm A Young Female With A Good Job, Do I Really Have To Settle For Less? by tosyne2much(m): 7:23am On Sep 08, 2017 |
Nedfed: Problems with gals/ladies of nowadays. OP I pray your case is not like dat of my female friend (Bimbo). @26, she got an appointment with FIRS Ever since no man worth her taste, she sees every young man that approach her has poor. This how she live till she clock 34 with no man to settle with. To cut the story short, she later got married to one Alhaji@ibadan with 3 wives as a result of no choice. Now the Alhaji has stopped her from working and make her a full house wife.
Just a lesson for the OP, no one is born to be poor. An average man today can still be the next billionaire 2moro. This one weak me ooo

Romance › Re: "Marriage Is Not For Everyone": Words Of Single Aged Nigerian Ladies Today by tosyne2much(m): 7:06am On Sep 08, 2017 |
KinSlayer: we all have certain biases that are put into us by society , church , parents whatever...
The name (in nairaland this translates to moniker) is the epitome ofwho we are that is... ourselves in a nutshell... what we percieve ourselves to be.
It is possible to focus on the message only, but the message is out of context without considering the aims and motives of the messenger, therefore doing so will actually be detrimental as it reduces perspective.
You might call it being objective, however that is wrong, as it is impossible for a human being to be objective. An app or program might be, but not a human. You see, we all have certain biases that are put in us from society, church whatever...
Technically to be objective is to put aside our biases when examining an issue or point. But I just said human beings cannot be objective . So am i running around in circles?
No. the closest thing we humans can do to being "objective" is to view issues or points in light of the biases of others as well as our own biases(since we cannot drop ours)
How am I aware of the biases of the messenger? The name which they have elected to give to themselves
Hope I didnt beat around the bush too much, but you asked what I felt was an important question so I felt to do justice. If the question was a sincere one you should have no problem reading it. If i have failed to explain myself properly, mention me as I am not following the thread. tosyne2much You finish work jawe my brother |
