If you had any project management experience, you will know that a programme of this magnitude is within the domain of a programme and risk management become a priority before you kick off the project.

Stop looking for excuses for bad planning.
Don't waste your time with that dude. It's a complete waste of time engaging in discussions with such a dense person.

No offence but if ur grandad wasnt registered, with COREN , Im sort he wasnt an engineer.... Let's start getting things done the way it is supposed to be in this god damn country
Definition of an Engineer:
A person who designs, builds, or maintains engines, machines, or structures.
Being registered with COREN is not part of the definition.

From what Gofwane described, his grandfather was an engineer. He not being registered does not make him any less of an engineer.

i thought you were an experienced project manager. so you can't give solutions? you can only make empty noises like all these kids here?

what do you think happens when the funding for a project is not available and there are budget overuns?

were you not in this country in 2013/2014 when the naira was devalued? do you know what that did to the costs of building materials?

everybody had to immediately recalibrate their projects and plans. projects had to be recalculated at plus 40%. that immediately destroyed any break even projections, and several projects were outrightly mothballed

an example - in my company we were buying philips led lights for projects at 125,000. the cost doubled. needless to say, we have never bought philips LED lights again. we cannot defend the cost

all you are doing is yammering. forex fluctuations are just one of the issues that have bedeviled this project.

do you know the difference between greenfield and brownfield, and how this impacts on project timelines?

GIVE A SOLUTION. or shut up.

Hmmm. You're correct on that one. The funniest part is when they assume the role of championing Yoruba cause. I begin to wonder who gave them the authority. Turning every development issue to a ruinous fight between Igbo and Yoruba as if Igbos are the problems of Yoruba. The Igbo people too then engage in the madness whereas the real enemy is looking at both educated fools and laughing at them
Exactly. Like the politicians they are all defending give a hoot about them. It's a sorry case.

People spend hours in traffic, not to mention the pollution from the many vehicles on the road. Any right thinking leader will prioritise alternative means of transport but Nigerian leaders have shown they are the most short sighted leaders any country can ask for.

No vision, no patriotism. Bunch of nonentities and failures.

I am working on something that would revolutionize the field of mathematics forever, and make time travel a reality.

Your donations are highly welcome. You can PM me if you have donations to make to my study. It is absolutely voluntary, and the project outlines are open to your scrutiny.

The steps I have taken to earn patents on my study so far have met rejections, but my rejection letters are also available to be accessed by you.

Was it the researcher that shared it on Nairaland? If you want the original study compete with the abstract and methodology, including number of participants, you should look elsewhere other than Nairaland. Haba, is Nairaland a resource centre? It is a forum, not an archive.

I introduced myself to let you know that this is my field. Moreover, I have many of these studies under my belt. You are ignorant. Rather than push blindly, you should have just held your peace. You ought to get tired going on about something you have absolutely no understanding about.

But no, you people are too arrogant, and are thus unteachable grin

It is not your field, ma'am.

Everyone is ignorant about one discipline or the other. No one knows it all. I am no technology expert so I know better than to argue with someone versed in that field. Ma'am, you know absolutely nothing about statistics. That is the truth.
Mr mathematician, go and find something doing this afternoon. And carry your arrogance along whilst going.
HealthRe: HIV Prevalence Rate In States In Nigeria 2019 By NACA by tot(f): 4:47pm On Nov 15, 2019
BluntBoy:
Many of you don't like to be corrected. grin

There is only one way to calculate prevalence rate. If you know it, you won't be asking questions about percentages. Your ignorance was evident from the moment you began to wonder about percentages and variations in population size. This study is not about number of HIV patients but prevalence rate of HIV. They are calculated differently.

Only the result of this particular study was shared on Nairaland. If you want to see the methodology section of the study, then you are better off searching for the original study rather than arguing about stuffs that you don't know anything about. But just know that there is only one formula (way) for calculating prevalence rate but you need to get off your high horse if you ever want to learn.

Gosh!!!
The point is this article is for the public so all the formulas you are yammering on about, cannot be assumed to be known by everyone.
Btw, you are the one that needs to stop exhibiting arrogance. Very irritating. If I ever wanted to learn anything, ITKs like you are the last set of people I will ask. Also, no one cares whether you are a mathematician or not, whose business is it? No one asked you.
HealthRe: HIV Prevalence Rate In States In Nigeria 2019 By NACA by tot(f): 3:08pm On Nov 15, 2019
BluntBoy:
Haba, they don't need to mention it cheesy Does one need to mention how 2 and 2 make 4? We already know that is either by multiplication or addition.

It is the same with prevalence rate. Whenever you mention prevalence rate, any statistician, mathematician or economist already knows how it is estimated.

Obviously, you have never done applied statistics before, if not, you won't even make this post.

But it is understandable. I am a mathematician, and I have just told you how it works. It is the same thing an economist, statistician and epidemiologist would tell you.
Of course they should. It's basic common sense. No one is asking whether you are a mathematician, the information is for the public, not for mathematicians.

I do agree though with what you said earlier and the guy did mention it as one of the reasons for buying a house. Buy a house because you have a pyschological need to own your own home , for peace of mind etc.

These are valid reasons, My point is to challenge this idea that property is always appreciates, that it always stores wealth or that it is always a good financial investment especially in Nigeria over time. Also if you buy a house and are paying a mortgage, you are buildiung equity inside instead of throwing away to a landlord.
Yep, get your point.
