Christianity Etc › Re: Why You Should Learn How To Forgive, Very Important by tot(f): 12:52pm On Dec 08, 2019 |
GoodBadandUgly: Ogbeni stop spreading nonsense propaganda. Forgiveness is for YOU and YOU only. Your peace of mind is the most important thing which is why you need to practice forgiveness, not because a divine being told you to. If someone wrongs you, regardless of whether it was intentional or not, you should forgive because you only have two options.
1. Harbor those feelings and let it rot you inside.
Choosing option 1. will have a long term effect on your physical and mental health. This will do more damage to you than the person who wronged you because they will continue to live their life whether you forgive them or not.
2. Accept that the situation has happened and there is no going back to change the past.
Choosing option 2. will teach you to leave the past in the past, the only thing you can do is learn, forgive and move on. By choosing to learn you can avoid such a situation next time. By forgiving and moving on, you save yourself the hassle of holding grudges that will turn you ugly over time. People are entitled to their views even if you consider it nonsense propaganda. Let's stop being rude in conveying our points. |

You should get used to it.
There is always a light side to most things.
Get used to that too. There are other ways to add a light side to serious discussions besides joking about hanging. There is nothing light side about that. |
Car Talk › Re: Please What Is FRSC's Stand On Google Map by tot(f): 9:40am On Dec 06, 2019 |
omakay: Let this FRSC people tell us exactly what they want.
Normally, a smart phone with active gps map is supposed to be used with a phone holder ( we no need frsc to tell us that one).
You cannot be actively driving and be navigating your way with your phone in your hand. That is suicide and such a person should be hanged (That is Hate-Speech-Driving).
But if FRSC is cancelling smartphone gps maps altogether, thereby limiting us to gps map embedded in the dashboard system, they should clearly state that.
As for the person who was arrested by officials of FRSC for using gps maps while driving, she did not tell us if she was using it with a phone-holder or she held it in her hands. Hanging a person is not something to joke about. |

Consequence: job losses of unprecedented magnitudes, worsening of the already shameful poverty index, crime rate increase, till even patriots finally start toeing the path of revolution.
Not entirely Buhari's fault (PDP laid the ignoble foundation), but he should have admitted that this job was beyond him prior to last elections... This nation is looking seriously hopeless. Most foreign businesses have exited already. Nigeria is a tough environment to do business in, coupled with the immense corruption at all levels including among citizens. PDP = APC, so really makes no difference. |

YorubaPrince: God bless you for that question... In Nigeria, we tend to give credence to stupidity. What the fvck does he do for a living? Someone that just gets free money for being a statutory monarch that absolutely has no significant role to play in our present society. His wives just keep looking good for him and the Public as a fulltime job.
You wonder why France and majority of progressives European and modern societies abolished Monarchy... this is the reason.
Yet, majority of these hungry and starved fools would jump up to support this stupidity and you wonder why we'll never progress.
Again 90% of Nigerians have mental problems from a developed society perspective. There is still a monarchy in a number of countries - the UK, Netherlands, Spain etc. Although it is symbolic they still benefit from taxpayers money unfortunately. From a tourism perspective, at least the monarchy system in the UK helps to generate income. I don't understand the benefit these monarchs in Nigeria bring to the table. Freehuman: I had no intention to be tribalistic. Kate Henshaw was clearly referring to her people because that's what she experiences where she lives. My Mum is Igbo and I'm from the South South. Immediatly I made a point everyone thought I'm Yoruba. That may not have been your intention but the comment came across otherwise. Kate is from Cross River but she lives in Lagos and she never stated who precisely she was referring to. We all see online all the bleaching going on, irrespective of where we live or where we are from. I for one, do not care where a person is from, just sick and tired of the constant tribalistic and ethnic comments on here which was why I responded. |
Celebrities › Re: Kate Henshaw Is Against Bleaching Of Children by tot(f): 2:43pm On Nov 28, 2019 |
Freehuman: There is no need to employ argumentum ad hominem in this discourse.
I didn't say other ethnic groups do not bleach. I stayed in an igbo state for a while and that's the truth of what I saw. What if I have a parent that is Igbo? Or I'm an employee in an industry where health concerns of our little people are priority?
If I say Americans like to shoot guns at the slightest provocation. It doesn't mean other countries don't have people who shoot guns at the slightest provocation but it means from my empirical perspective , I have lived in America, observed their gun laws and know they shoot recklessly.
As a matter of fact I have never spent more than 5 days in a Yoruba land. But the Yoruba people I've seen were more natural than Igbos. Their Muslims do not even take bleaching as an option.
And those I quoted who kept saying Igbos are naturally fair just proved the fact of how much Igbo people discriminate the Black skinned people among them leading to bleaching. I wonder when they talked about the Naturally fair people they were referring to E- money and his family.
Only Fulani's have that extra light skin in abundance despite the high altitude in their region. Keep suffering from persecution complex when someone who isn't Yoruba tells you the truth. The point is we are in 2019, we should learn to address issues without bringing ethnicity or religion into it. We are humans first and foremost. Bleaching is a problem that cuts across the black race, including non-Nigerians. Let's rise above this level abeg. |

If the train's lights could be seen as it approaches the station, the train could not have been as far as1000 metres away. All these confused eggheads, do they think situations like this dont happen in other countries? We shouldn't be taking pride in validating negative things that happen in other countries if we are not ready to also compare the level of positive developments in those countries. Say no to impulsiveness... If a person is being paid to do a job, they had better not shirk it and then claim God forgives us when we sin. That is how it is in hot organisations like that. Man know man. Somebody want to get in through the woman. She want to get in also but through powers bigger than the woman.
