naptu2: Of course, historical stuff from 1825 have been posted on the forum before. I have personally posted stuff from 1945.
This is not a news site. It is a general interest forum Then state clearly that it is HISTORICAL stuff as well as the date, rather than presenting it as new information as clearly that is a misrepresentation otherwise.. I don't know what you've posted in the past, that's not my concern. Topic: » This Is How Nigerian Men Are Killing Their Wives In US - By Abiodun Ladepo «.No mention of it being historical, so clearly a misrepresentation. cc: Lalasticlala |

Yes. Nigerian men outside the country kill their wives. What’s new? Hahahaha |

Klass99: I made my conclusions a long time ago about situations like these when someone boasted on this same forum about making 31k in one week of begging.
Then another guy by the name Israel or so, was quick to mention God is in his posts and kept mentioning God until someone busted him with all his alternate accounts and different stories. In one story he was a single mother who fries puff puff for a living but because schools and offices are closed due to covid she can't feed her child and is on the verge of committing suicide .
I really applaud and bless those who lend a helping hand, but I think to myself there are people in my real life and real world, who could really benefit from my help. Online, I will forever be wondering and second guessing if I am being scammed or not.
I don't have the patience or energy for a verification process either, so...... e-business I am always skeptical about those quick to call God. You've said it all. That is my stance as well now. Nigerians (despite our tough exterior) are actually large hearted people, the drawback is it can be taken advantage of. |

uboma: Your comment justifying your habit of begging prompted me to criticize you. It is okay to beg once or twice when there is the need but when it becomes a norm, it is not good. Using your kids to ask for alms/claiming your husband isn't taking care of you is no excuse to keep begging for alms. Where is your dignity?
If you are in a loveless marriage, why not call it quits and move on with your life. The more you keep bearing children in a loveless marriage, the more problems you create for yourself. I think you should just let her be. As Klass above rightly stated, people can see all the necessary posts and make their conclusions. I also want to believe she is wise enough not to drag the posts further. |

graciamore: Uboma some of your words made me shade tears this evening sha,but u know what am a strong woman Ohh.my story long- sha is it marriage or family? For everyone going through real life hardship mayGod intervene.. For every woman woman in loveless marriage staying strong for kids and trusting you God for a change may God intervene... Shallom Please stop with the emotional blackmail. Many people are in tough situations both here on NL and offline. Single mums without support, widows, orphans, there are people in worse situations. Yes, God is there to help us BUT we also have a part to play. Set goals for yourself, cut your coat according to what you can bear and stop using situations as an excuse. Haba!! If people start narrating their stories, nairaland will be full. |

uboma: She has deleted her comments. I am happy that you quoted her comments. Please keep it for future references. Doing so speaks volumes. In any case, the reference is there as it was quoted. I believe in helping people when they need to get on their feet, what I do not support is adopting that as a lifestyle. I have become very skeptical with Nairaland now. After separate incidents of assisting people and then in another thread you see them begging, or they come back to you for more. It's just bad. |

uboma: Yes, it becomes a habit, begging for money and happy to receive it. Persons like her will never want to stop begging. As far back as November 2018, was there Covid-19 then? She will always cook up lies to continue begging. It's not good at all. |
Family › Re: MY FEARS ARE GETTING REAL. by tot(f): 3:48pm On Jul 21, 2020 |
uboma: She started begging for alms here as far back as November 2018 (I am sure of this date, she may have started even before November 2018....).
Did you see how entitled she feels going by her comments (which you quoted). Na wa. It has become a culture and habit, the bad thing is it becomes hard to break out of it. |

graciamore: Madam I pray you find more help, I wish can help sincerely..but am also in your kind of situation...is not my first issue with duo... You see people don't understand what some persons are going through in this hard time... January, February I was so sick and shaking each time I stood before my learners, but you see I still went back to the classroom started saving atleast 5k from my 15k salary thinking before I give birth I must have saved a little before this God forsaken covid 19 came and disrupt everything, my sister I have to start beging ohhh. Wii I kill myself If I die now my obituary will appear here and you will see comment like "she would have speak up now" ...God forbid...even the said family members will tell you what about your husband? If I have husband that can provide for me will I come out to beg? What people don't understand is that is not easy to beg at all....But in all this God is still on the throne as I know he has never forsaken his children... Shalom I was initially moved by your story until I went through your posts and saw you've been consistently doing so for years, not a one off. Anyway, good luck & safe delivery to both you and OP. |

ForgingLife: IQ, whatever Q are all BS. You can have all of the above but if you aren't in the right place at the right time or have the right resources, then forget it. Life is a mixture of luck, risk taking and preparedness. Considering the fact that no man is an island, being in the right place is linked to connecting with the right person. Even in terms of resources, you need PEOPLE to implement whatever it is you have in mind. All of this is related to your social interaction aka EQ. |

I am sure there are lots of gems in this interview but the way the info has been presented doesn't help. |

TheArchangel: How old is your brother? Oga, stand your ground in that house. Force your brother to rent a house for you by raising serious hell and at the same time appearing meek. Sleep in that room when you come back and if the wife and her sisters talk trash, raise hell. Do not budge one beat. Keep your bags in the shop but sleep in that room to avoid them messing up your things. Take the food from that pot and raise hell while doing it. When your brother comes or is around, pretend like they are accusing you falsely. Remember self defense, beat the sh!t out of any of the sisters that touch you first. You can plead self-defense later. Do not touch the wife but remember to use your mouth to finish her. . Do not relent. If they can be there, you can be also. It's either your brother chase you all away or peace or resemblance of it will rain in that house. You must be a fighter, both physically and verbally. |
