The typical nigerian film aka nollywood movies are truly disappointing. i have never seen one that made me really satisfied. you can tell the end from the beginning, now its part one and two with little or nothing inside, i never have the patience to watch one all through. you talk of quality material at the end of the day, i dont see it. i manage to watch a few yoruba movies whenever. i can i feel they deliever more. But i love some of our actors and actresses sha. They make me proud to be nigerian.

@Poster, please do not end your life. HIV is not the end of the world as long as you & your husband take your Antiretroviral, follow the doctor's dietary instructions you shall be fine. There are people with worst case: cancer, renal failure etc some people are also on life support machine counting days to their grave. Be thankful and prayerful, you and your husband should join NGO e.g. PLWA (people living with AIDS) etc to encourage you

Thanks everyone for your contribution, i emailed this story to my friend last week. She finally saw enough reason and decided to go for the test with her husband (the yeye man was lilly livered) the long and short of the story is that they are both on treatment for Chlamydia.
Thank God it was not something more without cure. hopefully he learns from this.

you might just have to go on without this man for now. when things cool off, after marriage and all maybe with kids perhaps by then his heart will have softned.

Is This Too Much For The Man To Do?

A friend of mine that thought she was in a loving marriage realized the husband has been cheating on her. of course she was devastated and all. He had no good reason apart from the ''devil fault'' he apologised and promised to change his ways. Well after much drama and all, she told him she will forgive him completely after he has done some series of tests for sexually transmitted disease (in a reliable hospital) before she sleeps with him again. The man refused claiming he used a condom at all times and that his wife has a heart of stone, has refused to have sex with him in order to get back at him, is unforgiving, etc.

i beg oh i come dey wonder is it too much for him to just do the test, to put the wife's mind at peace. i dont even know what to tell her again. what do u guys think. i dont its too much to do after cheating.

i will not go to her house, but i will pray God touches her heart and all. i will give her some time and one day call out of the blue. This worked for my mum and i remember the story faintly now, though in her case the woman did not tell her not to come to her house.


NB: this depends on my relationship with the person. how close we were and if the friendship is worth saving.

its just something that obtains here. women dont drink and smoke like they do abroad. well some do (i recall some nigerians who studied in the UK/ USA back at law school) drinking and smoking. guys will roll with them n have fun. but i bet you wont want someone like that for a wife. its considered sort of shameful and not expected of womean . i mean imagine a proper nigerian woman smoking. uhmnnnnnnnnnn

I didnt marry her for papers. I had plenty of white women before her offering me to marry them but they were middle aged and obese. Please, the papers were only a bonus. I married her because I genuinely liked her. I am actually in contact with a girl back home. She is pretty, intellegent and shes only 21 so I hope it progresses.
