CultureRe: What Are The African Cultures That Needs To Be Abolished? by tpia1:
ezeagu: Fetish cultures like the Pentecostal Church, many evangelical churches in fact. Claiming things as part of a Nigerian culture when the are not, like women wearing skirts only. Using the bible and any other religious text to justify stupidity. Waiting on "God's time" when it comes to life or death issues and so on.
I think you can read.

Thread title says african culture, you're mentioning church and skirt.

Is everything ok with you today, or are you distracted?

Do you see how you turned s.tupid in your bid to rubbish people for their christian beliefs?

I think you should stop before you revert to an ape. Stick to igbo matters- thats where you can shine.

rhowly: i Really love the pixes of the neat clean toiletses above....just give us (nigerians) 1hr with that toilet...ÿou would defintely forget there was a 'before' all u would have is 'after' lol
not if the toilets had a lock and key, and sentry duty or sign in sheet at point of entry stating the condition it was found in.

just theorizing.

besides, overseas, if someone uses the public toilet and there's a smell, na wahala be that o- people get offended and call you names. Either the stuff better not smell, or the #2 should be done at home.

NYSCRe: Corpers Cause Mass Failure In Schools - Teachers Council by tpia1: 11:20pm On Dec 11, 2012
So, my point is, not having a degree in education doesnt necessarily mean someone wont be a good teacher, although of course its important in establishing some basic foundation in teaching.

I know overseas, you have to have training in education before you can teach.
NYSCRe: Corpers Cause Mass Failure In Schools - Teachers Council by tpia1: 11:18pm On Dec 11, 2012
Teaching skills are sometimes innate.

I did not study education, but i have very good teaching skills, even if i do say so myself.

This is because i have a lot of enthusiasm for the subject, as long as its something i'm interested in, or have a knowledge of.

I hate for students to not have an insight into whatever i'm teaching them.

And thank God, i've had feedback as well which validates my opinion here.
