anyway, I'm thinking of getting a typewriter myself- computers are just not secure. there are times when i want to write and I dont need the whole world peeping at my business. even worse when its the dolts doing that. so, its either get a typewriter or go back to using pen and paper. |

I have called Ex and she said'' They'' are paying just a million or no deal. |
expatriates are supposed to be white or caucasoid, unless i'm missing something. |
when you have a nation full of semi literates. . . . . . . . with a govt who acts like they're not there. . . . . . . . |
solomto: Both names are synonymous with second hand things which are from overseas. Does anyone know hw the name came to represent the above coz I know tokunbo as a yoruba name and okirika as a town in rivers state.yoruba is a tonal language where one word can have more than one meaning. |
culture section fell off when andre uweh who was holding down for the igbos, negro nations for the yorubas, physics for the edos and pagan 9ja for the hausas stopped posting regularly.never seen a more incorrect statement since i joined nl. may i ask you if you were the one who appointed people as sole spokesperson/s for their various tribes? unless there are individual yoruba, edo, igbo and hausa sections on nl where seun specifically said only certain people should hold sway, your statement is extremely misleading. cultural discussions on nl arent the exclusive preserve of any one person, hence the abundance of misinformation we see on this site. anybody is allowed to post, and oftentimes serious threads get derailed by some who think they know more than others when in actual fact all they're doing is mixing wild fairytales with implausible fiction. I'm not saying negro falls into this category, but people get tired of trying to correct the wild cards with the menagerie of disney-esque fables who have more energy and incentive to push their blahblahblah than ordinary folks without an agenda but who know their onions. No need to name names. That is the reason for the silence you are noticing. To the best of my knowledge, Negro does not do that (ie abandon such threads)- instead he believes in opening doors of discussion for every point of view. basically, my point is there are other posters of note, in culture section, than just the three you named. I'm not a fan of sycophancy ie nl naming conventions, hence my post. Things like that undermine genuine research.when they were active we all gravitated towards what they had to say with our 2centsif you want to admire them, just say so without mincing words, its not a crime to state your opinion. well, i can definitely agree with you about physics anyway- he certainly is the spokesperson for binis on nl. andre uweh is for igbos no doubt, but he's not the only one posting on igbo related matters in the section. |
its possible the people in the photo might be of igbo descent, not necessarily igbo per se. that's what one naira is supposed to be finding out, instead of arguing endlessly on this thread. just guessing sha, I might be wrong. |
^thanks for correcting the op. |
i hope you people arent monitoring him into his toilet and bathroom. |
boxer watch alert. "me and my neighbour, whose boxers better pass" |
And my first two months on this forum were arguably the best two months of my lifeok. |
Evil Brain: If they shared the same lineage, then they were related. Especially since both Matthew and Luke trace Joseph's lineage through his father.can you explain exactly how people would still consider themselves at that point they're a tribe or clan, sir. |
Duh for the twentieth time. You people's ignorance is just too great to even attempt to address. |
Not sure why one naira is spending so much time on this thread instead of preparing for his eventual conquest by his kinsmen up north. |
Chanchit: See useless people, so they want to call the wife for her to confirm that her husband has been sacked.Imagine the i.diocy. |
The number of shameless posts or is it shameless and illiterate posters on this thread, beats the imagination. And the nigerian govt is still doing nothing about the educational state of that country! |
MacDaddy01: Britain is the country that brought christianity to Nigeria and yet, they have thrown Christianity away. Statistics show that 39% - 56% are not religious in the uk.Majority of the christians migrated, duh. Must everything be spelled out for you, even though you pretend you' re a smartass. |
MacDaddy01: IronicSorry for your error. I guess you meant to type north korea. Unless you're prophesying for south korea? |
Op which one are you, and plz move your thread to health section. |
If a baby is called ugly, then its PARENTS need to change that perception. End of, and no need for psychos to open senseless threads like i .diots. |
imo, this isnt rocket science. back in those days there were no airplanes, internet, automobiles or postal service to facilitate globalization and long distance relationship. people generally tended to stay in the localities where they were born and raised, and also married within the same. Geographical location = tribal/ancestral connections and affiliation, duh. exceptions were during times of war, emigration or some other reason that resulted in mass movement of people. Also, royalty on occasion. The couple in question were not living in a foreign land like in the case of Isaac [who btw still married from his own clan even though he had to bring his wife from a long distance]. at one point in time, the tribe of benjamin had to seek special permission to marry brides who were from other tribes in Israel- this is one example of the strictness of the social setup in Jewish culture. if you have reasonable and non-i.diotic arguments against any of the above, let's hear it. |
Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Messiah.42 generations listed, and some people still have a problem wrapping their heads around this. duh. "are they related". geez. ![]() |
there's an un-follow button on the profile of anyone you're following. likewise for topics being followed. |
9ja voice: ok let me say this before i go to bed, i didn't wana say it before but let me.the d.aftness of this post is mind boggling. just had to give my opinion here when the muslims themselves are refusing to comment. |
9ja voice: a Fulani friend once said before me and other Yoruba friends and i quoteand? ![]() do you see a problem with this surprise factor of yours? You're looking at yoruba instead of your environment. siddon there dey surprise. it is me that told the fulani man who is he to decide who is and who is not on religious issue.alright then! |
Evil Brain: What exactly have you explained? According to the bible, Jesus and Joseph weren't related by blood and nothing you people have said has explained how Jesus came to acquire Joseph's genealogy. Tpia's suggestion that Mary and Joseph were related is nonsense. Matthew chapter 1 clearly and unambiguously traces Jesus's ancestry though Joseph, so unless he and his wife were brother and sister, it falls down flat.where did i say mary and joseph were related? as was pointed out previously, there's really no point engaging you smartasses in discussion, but occasionally i post just in response to what i assume is a serious question. Although more often than not, its simply a troll doing what they're being paid to do. one can certainly not prevent you "hawks" from descending on any comment that tasks your brain (ie what you call one),but that doesnt mean your attention is or was welcomed? dont mistake my civility as fishing for your attention? as per your lack of comprehension here, do you know the meaning of tribe, and in your own tribe, is everybody related? very hard arguing with boneheads i tell you. |
Its always a good comic relief to watch Christians frantically trying to defend the confusion in their faith. While ending up looking even more silly than the question at hand
you're the one sounding confused and clueless actually.so, the joke's on you for your zero cognition. ![]() |
