Christianity Etc › Response To Mosqueeto by tpia5(op): 8:37pm On Apr 11, 2012
the thread got moved somewhere, so here's the response I typed for you:

musKeeto: great message, guilty messenger
guilty of what?

I've been expecting someone to ask me to explain my presence in the muslim section, since I'm not muslim.

however, I go there occasionally because I find certain topics interesting, or am following certain posts.

I've been in sexuality section before and had people ask me the same question, and my response was I dont think people there should seclude themselves from interactions with my type. Of course I'm an SU so I think the wiles and whatnot over there would be lost on me. I certainly wouldnt advise 98% of nl users to do the same and especially not if you have a weakness in such matters.

But unlike calotti/spermdrops/almondjoy/blazay/whatever, I did not go there to solicit for customers to ogle my n.aked privates in a satanic ritual, in addition to cursing the heck out of everybody i met there. Not saying it's wrong to do any of that, but just giving you my opinion.

so, I think there's a difference, but in case there isnt, I dont think I necessarily have to be anywhere I'm supposed not to be.

dabrake: very daft. My mother's brain will be auctioned for at a very rich price cos it's largely unused. Now what's the correlation?
Nairaland General › Re: 991 by tpia5: 8:22pm On Apr 11, 2012
so, from what I'm seeing on the thread, the general consensus is:

1. it's ok for young women/women to randomly chat with strangers they meet outside. Since non-Nigerian women commonly do this, it is wrong for Nigerian women to not do the same.

2. The op and his cohorts are free to attack females- there's nothing strange about his singling out women to attack, since he obviously couldnt ask anyone else for directions, besides women he "considered attractive" . undecided undecided undecided

3. there's really no point in me arguing here and especially not with this darn interface for goodness sake. Knock yourselves out- e no concern me who anyone decides to chat or not chat with. Or when or where. How exactly is it my business?

so, I'm out.

if you're still in nigeria it might be better if you study the nursing there, before crossing over, unless you already have your visa.
and plan to travel very soon.

if you're already in the US, then just contact the nursing schools for their requirements.

you can also consider going for a masters program in a good discipline. Nursing can be stressful although it seems it pays well.

Family › Re: How & Why Do Siblings Fall Apart? by tpia5: 2:35pm On Apr 11, 2012
in africa, most parents raised with the african mindset dont see favouritism as wrong.

so, its really not much use complaining about such things, imo.

besides, maybe it was necessary back in those days before or during colonization.

the influence of globalization and emigration have exposed people to a lot of different cultures and also empowered others who according to tradition, would not ordinarily be so.

eg in the olden days, talking back to someone older than you, was considered rudeness of the highest order and the infraction was likely punished.

but i think as people grow older, they are forced to confront what would otherwise not have mattered, or what would usually have been swept under the carpet or ignored. Acknowledging these feelings/situations may lead to bitterness, anger and alienation especially if the parties involved refuse to forgive.

oyibos/westerners typically handle these things by going to therapy [i'm just beginning to understand all that now] but in nigeria we dont have so much of a therapy culture yet.

i think the best thing is just to pray for those who despitefully use you- forget the right or wrong of the matter involved because there'll always be aggravation no matter what.

and why must nl always be filled with s.tupid questions, people asking s,tupid questions, people trying to push their weird and demented mindsets/lifestyles on others, etc etc.

gosh, this rubbish is very annoying and speaks volumes about a certain person or persons. undecided

Literature › Re: Why Do Ladies Like To Read Romance Novels? by tpia5: 2:54am On Apr 11, 2012
historical romances are ok if the s.ex scenes are reduced to a minimum and not crafted in a way that obscures the rest of the book.

where is she [the wife] going? huh

she should concentrate on the bedroom aspect- that might be why he's remembering the ex.

if she does her job properly he'll forget all that stuff, imo.

most men tend to not have permanent/fixed memories like that. If he really feels bad, console him then get jiggy abi how else una wan do am.

shows he did want to marry her?
