"Freida is from a Portuguese decendant living in India" - She lives in India, and therefore, has been immersed in the culture. The babe is of Portuguese descent but was bred in India so could pass as one
she's probably from goa, a part of india with mixed portuguese descendants.

@ topic

its quite possible the heavy debt system of the west, makes for stability. Most people cant and dont pay cash for real estate. Nigeria's cash and carry system [cash based society] isnt working in her favour, it seems.

I've heard a modern version of that story before.

Hmm, obviously some things were manipulated behind the scenes imo.
Romance › Re: Valentine: Will Naija Girls Accept Greetings Card And Flowers by tpia5: 12:47pm On Jan 31, 2012
@ topic

i dont see why not, if she's the greeting card and flower type.

You should know the kind of person you're going out with and what she prefers.

But majority of you have nothing in common with the kind of girl who would happily accept greeting cards and flowers and you'd in fact consider it strange for a nigerian woman to not be materialistic.

So stop insulting all women just because you're afraid of your girlfriend.
Christianity Etc › Re: Being Christ-like? by tpia5: 12:43pm On Jan 31, 2012
And where exactly in the old testament is it specified to pray three times a day.

Just curious.
Christianity Etc › Re: Being Christ-like? by tpia5: 12:40pm On Jan 31, 2012
I dont even think Jesus prayed three times a day.

He prayed as often as he thought necessary and once embarked on a forty day fast.

He also went on retreats by himself.

Just before he was crucified, he withdrew somewhere to pray and his disciples were sleeping, so he prayed alone. No mention of any set times.

This man should stop his attention seeking.

Of course the sentence will be appealed.

He's not the one who will tell others what to do.

And neither is there any need for anyone to go on rampage over the ruling.

Nigeria is a country of laws after all- let us follow due process instead of giving ourselves a name for waywardness and violence.

Christianity Etc › Re: Being Christ-like? by tpia5: 12:16pm On Jan 31, 2012
Jesus never denied his jewish identity.

What he said was he did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfil it.

Others who are not jews either by birth or by conversion, still have a place in his plan.

Physical practices arent necessarily what constitutes religion. Your heart is more important because that's what determines your actions.

Not everyone can understand these things.

Politics › Re: Igboman, Did You Come To Bauchi With Any Land? by tpia5: 3:40am On Jan 31, 2012
anyway, @ topic

i'm not familiar with bauchi but it might be possible a property could be worth N20 million there.

real estate prices escalated in the last decade.

i dont know if the original story is true however, just saying there could be property worth that amount.
Politics › Re: Igboman, Did You Come To Bauchi With Any Land? by tpia5: 3:37am On Jan 31, 2012
might as well finish the story.

yes, what about the ibo woman.

surely she wasnt spared since you've ravished all the other ethnicities in nigeria.

Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsman Chops Off A Vulcaniser's Right Hand In Akure. by tpia5: 2:48am On Jan 31, 2012
^are you saying crimes dont happen in the south? huh

the northern issue has always been based on religion mixed with politics.

there's no justification for any of the crimes in question and neither is one example more heinous than another.
Politics › Re: Hausa And Fulani? What Is The Difference? by tpia5: 2:45am On Jan 31, 2012
So they have developed this sense of disproportionate retaliation for even the slightest provocation.
also an effect of a deeply entrenched nomadic lifestyle.
Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsman Chops Off A Vulcaniser's Right Hand In Akure. by tpia5: 2:38am On Jan 31, 2012
^^calm down.

none of this will undo what has been done.

is it all fulanis who are committing crimes or shouldnt you consider the fact that some are doing things like this in order to bring war and confusion to a community. And also to disrupt their own people who have been living there as well. Creating an atmosphere of fear and distrust.

dont be a stooge.

as for calling Jesus- sorry, but that's what I'll do. Some trust in chariots, some trust in horses, but my own trust is in God.

you may call your own god/s, while i'll call mine.

Look, let me reveal a secret to you.
well, from what i know, first you try arbitration.

if that doesnt work, then more drastic measures are taken.
Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsman Chops Off A Vulcaniser's Right Hand In Akure. by tpia5: 2:21am On Jan 31, 2012
is there a drought somewhere, or why were the cattle grazing so far south.

Clashes between two tribes in northern Kenya left at least seven people dead this week, a local government official said Saturday.

The clashes in Moyale on Thursday were a revenge attack against one tribe over a Tuesday cattle raid, said Elias Kithaura, the official

Pastoralist communities in the region clash regularly over highly valuable grazing land amid devastating droughts that have affected livelihoods

Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsman Chops Off A Vulcaniser's Right Hand In Akure. by tpia5: 2:16am On Jan 31, 2012
anyway, lord have mercy @ topic.

can the hand be reattached, or the man at least fitted with a prosthetic one.

when fulani cattle are grazing people's crops, a first option could be to go together with some elders ie chiefs and send a message to the head of the fulani community in the area affected, and report the erring cattle herder.

if nothing is done then, other measures can be taken.

but let's not escalate this matter too much plz. It wont undo what happened. sad True, the crime was committed by a fulani, but are fulanis the only ones committing crimes.

people in general need Christ, for real.

she seems more into him  [at least trying to impress him] than he into her.

geez, cant be easy being a nigerian man.

sowore seems to be a typical "ijaw" man- if they're not into you, they're not into you, end of matter.

if they are into you, na only earthquake go stop them from approaching you.
