And of course cbn and efcc cant be bothered to track this kind of money because they're more interested in going after pastors and churches who they hate because they (churches) are supposed to be poor but instead bought jet.

Relatively recent hires in the police and army need to be vetted, imo.

So much confusion everywhere.

Obviously, like i noticed previously, boko haram, mend or whatever, have to be basing their attacks on places where they have insiders working for them.

It only figures.

If, however, someone's decision is baed on self hate, as is common with many of our people, then there might be a problem.

Its a bit hard to tell if he offended you or not, for want of a better expression.

Just calm down- things may not be as bad as they seem.

If indeed there's a problem, then remember him in prayer.

I dont see anything worng with what she said.

They look different from bantu blacks- why is that a problem. And neither is it by force for them to become bantu.

Moremi

i edited my post, hence your confusion.

The parts about money being important in a relationship were added later, in order to avoid arguments about the importance of money in relationships.

Anyway, my point is spending money on a girl, or having "fun", isnt necessarily what a relationship is about.

Marriage is hard work and a lot of people dont want to see it that way. You want a fairytale and cant accept such a paradise might not exist outside the tv screen.

There is no girl that I have dated and dumped that can say she didn't have a great time with me. I spend a LOT of money on pretty girls
a good or great relationship isnt always about money.

though money is important, no doubt.

and of course if you have cash to spend then its only natural your relationships will reflect that.

N80,000/ month - Fresh doctors salary @ OSUTH
N2,000,000/month - Fresh doctor with PLAB doing locum work @ any UK hospital

Which one you go choose?
Obamedo:
The starting salary for a doctor in the UK isn't 35k, it's about 25k but that's besides the
Point. The cost of living is much higher in the UK regarding things like transport, housing etc so don't expect your salary to afford you a life of luxury
norrisman

hope you see your error.

are you saying a doctor fresh out of med school will immediately start earning big bucks?

i dont think the system works like that, unless maybe in the UK.
Family › Re: Is Marriage Worth It For Guys? by tpia5: 7:25pm On Feb 01, 2012
I do see a trend of guys not wanting to get married
true.

their lifestyles presuppose marriage and also breeds a fear [and disregard] of women in them.

also, some are simply wary because of the marriages they've seen.

Amu Igwe:
@ OP:

First of all, Thandie Newton can pass for an Igbo girl -- I've seen plenty that approximate her look, so you may want to look inward regarding the colour issue.
Thandie newton does not look igbo, sheesh.

Her playing the role doesnt mean she does.

However, an igbo girl might be found who looks like her.

if you're happier being alone then by all means stay alone until you're ready to marry, if that time ever comes. Of course people will pressure you to settle down etc but if you dont want to, its not by force. After a while they'll leave you alone.

As per your mum's list- tall order because if you're not religious then you shouldnt really be dating a religious person.

On the beauty thingy- men from families where most of the women are beautiful, actually tend to not place physical beauty too high on their list of requirements for a partner. After all, nothing new there.

Just my observation, could be wrong. I'm referring to the yoruba setting of course.

Christianity Etc › Re: Pls Am Really Confused About This Bible Passage by tpia5: 3:57am On Feb 01, 2012
i think the cat analogy is meant in a different context.

to make it more realistic, the scenario would be one of chasing cats out of the church.

just my two cents.

as someone who once witnessed a live ram run into the church and head straight for the altar during service, while being hotly pursued by a bunch of sweaty young men [who had been taking it to the minister's compound when it cut and ran], i think the priest would give the order to catch it and also to be more careful when handling gift rams next time.

nigeria of course.
