Let's assume the comparison is meant to be between american rap and nigerian music, because its only rap that would give the kind of bad name we're seeing here. With people running mouth anyhow like "american music".

I doubt anyone would dare compare other american genres of music in this manner.

i dont have any opinion because i dont know why a married woman is hosting a man in her hotel room, among other things.

anyway, the write up should be in fiction section and in short, is just ridiculous.

^are we on the same page?

I'm referring to men's fixation with women's b.reasts.

isnt that what fuels the b.reast augmentation industry.

poster you need to be more specific.

are you referring to rap? huh

what you're calling american music is too broad to simply be lumped together in the manner you're attempting.

stop sounding ignorant.

just giving my opinion, that's all.

you can try private messaging or magazine shoots or something.

as for makeup- dont know about you, but i see plenty.

and can we try to name the photographers taking these face shots.

a good picture is as much the work of the photographer behind it as it is the subject.

some yorubas also eat tuwo.

does that mean its popular with them.
Food › Re: Do Nigerians Eat Fufu? by tpia5: 9:08am On Dec 26, 2011
^^you are quite wrong and speaking as an outsider, not an insider.

yorubas who move with igbos might be eating fufu.

that doesnt make it a staple among yorubas.

i dont know if my dad ever tasted fufu in his life- i certainly have never seen him eat it before.

the closest thing to fufu i saw him eat was the pupuru eaten by ikale people. Dont know if that's fufu or not.

likewise i've only met a few yorubas who make a habit of eating fufu. And these are mostly the ones who are interested in other cultures, like i said.

op

I read with disgust and utter disappointment in Gov Fashola a newspaper report in far away Canada. How on earth could he order scraps as trains for lagosians use. Rather crazy. Read and comment please.

a blog is what you're calling a newspaper report? huh

exactly how illiterate [or is it semi-literate] can you get?
Culture › Re: Can You Marry A Lady Without Culture? by tpia5: 8:34am On Dec 26, 2011
its called trashy, or ghetto dressing.

nothing to do with culture per se, unless trashy is a culture.

just shows the woman planned for a quickie with some drunk guys or some f.ools [possibly both combined] during the party.

Let's leave personal feelings and biases out of this.

Owo o towo lon je liability.

What I'm referring to is compatibility between two parties.

Of course emigration has changed much of this since people now marry freely from different classes when overseas.

But my own point of reference is the nigerian one.
Politics › Re: Actual Physical Size Of Africa by tpia5: 11:42pm On Dec 25, 2011
I dont think this is new info.

Its common knowledge africa is one of, if not the biggest, continent/s on the planet.

Food › Re: Do Nigerians Eat Fufu? by tpia5: 11:00pm On Dec 25, 2011
Same way hausas have tuwo, ijebus have ikokore, and fulani have fura nunu.

Other regions eat these too but it remains the staple dish of the areas it is associated with and where it's commonly eaten.

Ekt bear i assume the question isnt a mischievious one only because you grew up abroad and perhaps genuinely dont know.
Food › Re: Do Nigerians Eat Fufu? by tpia5: 10:56pm On Dec 25, 2011
Fufu isnt commonly eaten by yorubas.

It is however eaten by non-yorubas who are resident in the southwest.

Negro please take note.

Yes, we all know or have heard of SOME yorubas who eat fufu.

However, it remains a midwestern/southeast/southsouth food.
Romance › Re: "why Do The Rich Only Marry The Rich?"- Linda Ikeji by tpia5: 10:51pm On Dec 25, 2011
Nothing wrong with rich marrying only rich imo.

The issue of compatibility is a serious one and i dont think a rich person in nigeria especially, would be a good match for someone who is poor.

Rich here is referring to proper riches, aka old money, not the nouveau rich ie new money.

Meaning people who were raised in affluence, not just people who struck money fairly recently.

It sounds classist no doubt but that's just how life is.
