I think that just served as extra motivation to wear it
most times that's the major motivation, not an extra one.
Islam › Re: Hijab, A Narrative- (great Piece) by tpia5: 7:11am On Dec 04, 2011
her reasons for deciding to wear a hijab dont seem very spiritual per se.

I read an amazing article about a girl who had a Muslim father and a non-Muslim mother, who had begun wearing the hijab. I’d also seen a touching video on YouTube about a girl who wasn’t even Muslim, but was experimenting with wearing the hijab and refused to take it off. It got me. That girl, wearing her hijab, wasn’t even a Muslim. I am a Muslim. If she could do it – why in the world couldn’t I?

sista Tpia, are you saying that he should starve to death (or se.xually starve) simply because he is in "captivity"?!

many women are in such desperate r/ship too, they get threaten etc so they are too scared to leave. is it right, no? but if it is acceptable for women, shouldnt it be also acceptable for us? or do you assume ALL men are strong like that?!
who is in captivity here- the man or the woman? huh

Wasnt there a thread last year about a woman who said she went overseas to have her baby and during that time her husband slept with a church sister. Maybe they were holding prayers for the wife's safe delivery when satan tempted them? huh

I dont see why a lady should be scared to cook for a guy who knows how to cook.

Only problem is i might get lazy and have him do most of the cooking if his food is too tasty.

Who no like better thing.

Seun is doing his business well here and he is carrying out the whole thing by not taking sides with his people or any tribe. If he should take sides with his yoruba people then we the Igbos may quietly leave the forum thereby making the forum lose its national outlook. I believe his intention of creating this site is for it to have a national and wvwn international outlook. If he should Yorubalize it then he loses that goal. of course you know yorubas and Igbos are the biggest users of this forum. Losing any of these two tribes will badly affect this business.
^from the way you're blowing grammer and typing long epistles, one should assume you're ready to point out examples of sites where the owner is igbo and allows routine igbo bashing by the forum users.

once again, as usual, a discussion about black dating or s.exual habits, becomes a discussion about homos.exuality only.

ok.

Christianity Etc › Re: General Christian Living Discussion Section by tpia5: 7:48pm On Dec 03, 2011
one of the most basic errors many christians fall into is assuming they can "never" do something, or something can "never" happen to them.

yes, it can, and it probably will if you do not exercise wisdom.

when the bible says the days are evil, believe me, that is no joke.

be wise as serpents does apply here.

underestimating the detemination of others to destroy your testimony is another typical example and akin to the yoruba proverb about folorunsho to figi ogede gun ope.

The wahala people enter into in the name of having relationships.

Smh.

But actually, this type of thing is more common than most people know.

I've met a number of women who were dumped by their boyfriends after ten years of dating with no marriage.

Jeez, these guys should have a heart nah.

Dont string someone along for ten solid years.

The women too should keep it moving if no marriage proposal after two or three years. Because afterwards the guy will start telling all kinds of stories like this one.
Christianity Etc › Re: General Christian Living Discussion Section by tpia5: 4:37pm On Dec 03, 2011
I already posted something along this line concerning christians and s.ex.

Will dig up the thread soon.

Interesting topic but i think a critical issue nowadays is a lack of faith on the part of many christians.

The parable of the sower comes to mind.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Wtf! US Church Bans Interracial Marraige by tpia5: 4:32pm On Dec 03, 2011
Not sure why this thread has reached this number of pages.

If that zimbabwe man likes let him and his fiance not move somewhere where interracial couples are the norm.

He should stay his black asss there in kentucky and continue fighting for his right to date a white woman.

Ko seni to ma ko later.
Politics › Re: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by tpia5: 4:26pm On Dec 03, 2011
Seun could also do the job i suppose.

The way yorubas get bashed on this forum shows the forum owner is probably an igbo man. At the very least, a non yoruba.

Smh.

I really dont understand why people take delight in being s.tupid and sounding like howler monkeys on the internet. Of course its entirely possible they actually do function at the level of a retarded chimpanzee but it gets irritating when they constantly damage nigeria's already battered image with their senseless postings.

Anyway, not my problem.

Let's not ruin the thread. If i decide to take them on now some people will say tpia is scattering the thread.

But i.diocy is so annoying, especially when the croaking toads have this oversabi attitude when in fact they apear extremely backward and d.aft?
Politics › Re: Apart From The Civil War,what Else Did Ojukwu Do For His People? by tpia5: 12:28am On Dec 03, 2011
Ojukwu is a hero to his people for most of the reasons mentioned in my previous post.

They saw him as someone who helped make a stand against their "oppressors" for want of a more fitting description.

The pogroms had prepared a vacuum and a space for a hero, and he stepped into those shoes which were already waiting.

Now, he might not be a hero to others who view him differently, but that could be another topic.

Yes, its kidnapping when his nostrils are smelling the food she's cooking and he's sitting there waiting to be served.

Its kidnapping when his mouth is busily swallowing her pounded yam or whatever , maybe jollof rice, and he's lounging there washing it down with small stout.

Its also kidnapping when his legs dont lead him out the door but instead take him to the bedroom where he'll be groaning in ecstacy or maybe annoyance while pounding her mightly on the bed. Why couldnt he carry his stuff elsewhere long before now or did she use handcuff to pin him down.
Politics › Re: Apart From The Civil War,what Else Did Ojukwu Do For His People? by tpia5: 12:07am On Dec 03, 2011
Unfortunately, the heavy toll of the civil war also cant be ignored.

May the victims of that period rest in peace and i also hope their descendants as well as the wronged can one day find some closure.

People have different fates in this life. For some, the fates of millions rests in their hands while for others it could be the fate of only one person which is themself. May we not become intertwined in destiny gambles when the powers that be are waging war.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers.

Like caesar or somebody said, some are bron great while others have greatness thrust upon them. Same way some people may suddenly have the destiny of others thrust upon them.

Jesus himself warned about perilous times.
Politics › Re: Apart From The Civil War,what Else Did Ojukwu Do For His People? by tpia5: 12:00am On Dec 03, 2011
If we really want to list ojukwu's contributions to his people then we can still get the thread back on track though i'm not sure that's likely to happen.

As i pointed out before. Ojukwu was a unifying factor and a rallying point gfor igbos. As we know, unity is a very important aspect of the igbo worldview.

Secondly, ojukwu once again brought igbos to the world's attention. I think the last time that had happened in a significant manner was through olaudah equiano when he wrote his book. Also, chinua achebe with TFA.

In addition, the contributions of ojukwu's dad cant be ignored. I heard ojukwu transports used to be the main transportation company across southern nigeria and maybe the north back in the day. In addition, many of the companies and infrastructure which signalled the netry of nigeria into the global world market and established her entry into a modern international presence were pioneered by his dad, jointly with other investors and entrepreneurs. Eg the nigerian stock exchange.
