Al harem you've started again.

Can you explain this lie of yours about nupe introducing clothing maybe to your own tribe (not yoruba).

There are multiple threads running concurrently rght now discussing yoruba history and anyone can see clothes on the 10th century sculptures.

Please let go of this your jealousy and in any case just stick to kanuri matters like i told you before.

If you must lie, why not lie intelligently instead of following all these nl liers who lie like ill bred goats.

Culture › Re: Is This Really A Display Of A Bini [edo] Or A Yoruba Cultural Attire? by tpia5: 12:35pm On Nov 21, 2011
I beleive the reason why there's so much ambiguity or grey areas concerning the yoruba-benin relationship is due to the portuguese influence. They ( the portuguese) had much more inlfuence and a foothold in benin compared to yorubaland which doesnt seem to have allowed them as much access as benin did.

And some parts of the midwest or southeast as well. It seems there's a town called akassa in one of these areas that was actually founded by the portugues and which contains a portuguese gravestone, if the source i read was correct.

Add the influence of other tribes like nupe, itsekiri, igalla, tiv, hausa, etc on bini and you begin to see the point at which it diverges from yoruba.

Romance › Re: A Woman Of 41 Can Never Hold On To A Young Boy Of 25: Agree? by tpia5: 12:26pm On Nov 21, 2011
A man who will cheat will cheat.

I`m not in support of older woman younger man relationships in general, but the age gap of 16 years is much by any standard. Very hard to defend especially if you say its for love. Men being men, can only smh.
The guy isnt even that fine- not sure why the media keeps saying he is. He's famous, yes, but i think touting him as fine is pushing it a bit far. Did demi help him with his career or something? huh

Christianity Etc › Re: How Do You Keep Faith After Asking God For A Blessing For 16years by tpia5: 7:14am On Nov 21, 2011
If you've asking for 16 years with no answer, then maybe that's your answer.

The bible says sometimes we ask amiss.

It would help though, to have an idea of what you were asking for though you dont have to reveal it for privacy reasons.

If the classrooms are getting too small for the number of students then shouldnt they either build a satellite campus somewhere else, or reduce their admission quota.

How can you hold lectures in the sports centre? huh

Strange. Dont remember that, really. Although its possible.

True, the library has been dilapidated for a while now.

I used to spend hours and hours poring over old books which actually werent academically relevant to me.

Just a hobby of mine to pore over old books so i found the library perfect for that purpose.

Later on i didnt use the place so much because i no longer had that kind of time.

Btw, the zoo is gone? huh

Eyah, so sad.
Culture › Re: Why Do Nigerians Think White People Are Ugly? by tpia5: 2:05pm On Nov 20, 2011
This need to be worshipped all the time. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Everybody cant consider everybody beautiful? huh

There will always be dissenters for every topic- why does it matter if some consider some others ugly?

As it is, its black women who are automatically called ugly by most other races and besides the time that ugly man wrote a fake paper claiming blacks are ugly, nobody really cared.

Nigerian women also tend to get bashed more than others but who cares?

Anyway, to each his own. The most important thing is how will you give account to God.

From mr obesere:

With the fame I have, I can’t go to places like Mushin and it is saddening. I can’t get out and do those things I used to do before. But I have devised a way of moving freely. Once in a while I dress like an eleha (woman in purdah) and take okada to places like Mushin because I want to see what is happening there.

i myself tend to be very suspicious anytime i see a lady in purdah, back home.

if it's someone i dont know, then how am i sure its not actually a man sneaking out to see his mistress or girlfriend.

hijab isnt an unfamiliar sight in parts of the southwest.

however, many of the hijab wearers do face challenges even from casual bystanders who are also fellow muslims.

aside from the many unsalacious stories also making the rounds.
