I deliberately brought this for those that went wild and berserk because of islamic banking in Nigeriahmm. |
i dont quite get the whole picture here. why is a muslim cleric [alfa] seeking to work at a private strictly christian university? ![]() would a pastor or christian minister be hired by the private muslim universities? ![]() just wondering. |
nigeria has the largest mangrove forest in africa. much of the coastline is covered by this forest [or at least used to be], and especially around the ondo area, i should think. it was one of the reasons why some areas are very difficult to navigate and why the lagos coast made a better port. all this stuff is basic geography which used to be taught in either elementary or early secondary school. |
@ topic here's an informed study pertaining to the nigerian coastline The 853km long Nigeria coastline runs through seven of the Southern States of the Federation, Lagos, Ondo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers bordering the Atlantic Oceanhttp://www.hydro-international.com/issues/articles/id291-Coastline_Migration_in_Nigeria.html |
@ topic that podium looks worn out, imo. it needs to be repainted or replaced. its not like the country cant afford it? ![]() |
nigeria is the only country in the world that give/export what she(nigeria) does not have(peace and freedom).cant argue with that. |
its mainly on nl that i hear this alleged edo/yoruba "likeness" for each other. edo and yoruba are brothers blah blah blah. i think people are confusing the fact that some areas tend to shop for boyfriends and partners in the southwest, with actual reality on ground. relationship matter is different from general overall matter. unless there's more to the whitewashing than meets the eye. |
inedi asked some valid questions here. i think calling it the tree of knowledge of good and evil, points to the fact that there was evil outside the garden. possibly preceding its creation as well. as we can see, evil did enter eden eventually in the form of the serpent and rebellion against God. |
interesting questions raised by the op. |
but lets not derail the thread, thanks. |
^^ Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the weddingjohn 2:1 does the bridegroom also receive an invitation to his own wedding? ![]() |
@ topic anything that eases the congestion in lagos is fine by me. This may change the demographics of the place perhaps. |
I'd be surprised to find out gej is the person posting on facebook? ![]() I'm sure someone else was hired to do all that. |
Actually i dont remember ogun state having a direct coastline to the ocean. I'm not very familiar with the place but i think one of my old textbooks has the map i just posted here and i think that's more accurate than the other google ones which are showing an unbroken coastline from ogun down to the sea. That's not correct because lagos and parts of ondo are the only western states with direct access to the sea, and i think most of the ondo coast might be somewhat difficult terrain- more so than lagos. Some parts of the western coast consist of mangrove swamps, not beaches or ports. |
Which christians are you referring to? ![]() Did Jesus ask people not to marry? ![]() He attended many weddings himself, maybe you're unaware of that. |
its mostly the effect of the hair, imo. |
corrected. |
i think this is the correct map https://img823.imageshack.us/img823/421/nigeriaogunstatemap.png it clearly shows the lagoon. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0b/Nigeria_Ogun_State_map.png |
Daughter: "Because John is always beating me and my sister and we don't have a brother to help us fight him"sounds like either you or your husband needs to stand where john can see you. or if you have any male relatives handy, they could help resolve this problem. john is simply a bully, thats all. |
Its rather unusual to hear of abandoned property in lagos. |
The property might be under dispute or inheritance issues. Either thát or the owner might be late and the family doesnt know he owns that place. Again, the owner in question might be overseas? ![]() |
^Wise words. Both the husband and wife need to get their act together. |
No one ever knew that an Ijaw like Jonathancan you explain what this means- just curious. |
^^i think habitat for humanity is also in nigeria and besides that, the need in the country is just as great as anything you're going to do elsewhere. |
physics qed you cant change history, you know. you're a bit too defensive when it comes to benin. you're missing some critical things that way. |
It depends on individuals. Me I will be engaging in that from mid August, I will b traversing Kenya, Zambia and South Africa. I will spending 2 weeks in a settlement few kilometres away from Luanda where I will be joining some volunteers coming in from the U.S and Canada to renovate homes for the poor, we go dig, carry block, plaster, paint, we go dey work from 8a.m-4p.m (mon-sat) the host community go provide food and shelter, evenings and sundays the group go dey go sightseeing and on the last day, the host community go host a feast for us in a big way, then I move to Kenya where I wud b staying in Nairobi in a serene environment for 7 days, my feeding and accommodation go cost me about 14,000 kenya Shillings (about $152) and I get to volunteer in one of the National parks that is a walking distance from where I will be staying, get to work with giraffeswhy fly halfway around africa when the same situation you're going to fix, is right there in lagos and other parts of nigeria? ![]() are you nigerian, or am i missing something. |
I asked u to google what happens in case of a spinster because I have realised that many of u non-Muslims copy and paste info from the internet and then come here to use them against Muslims not sure who or what you're referring to here. what did i use against muslims. i simply googled the question is perming hair allowed in islam, or can a muslim woman perm her hair, and i was directed to a muslim forum where the topic was discussed. i read a post there saying a woman can perm for her husband [i think it was backed up with a quranic quote, or maybe not], and i then posted that opinion here. not sure why you and uplawal are up in arms over that. the question has been asked many times and is all over the search engines. not forgetinng that the people who posted those stuffs there could av bn ignorant Muslims or the enemies of Islam whose main aim is to give d wrong representation of Islam. i wouldnt know about any of that. all i saw was a discussion about perming hair. How come it is allowed to be relaxed for a husband but not oneself. i have no idea. it might have something to do with the husband giving permission or whatever. you dont really have to be a muslim, or religious, to dislike perming. plenty of nigerian men dont like it, and for reasons unrelated to theology. |
deols:i'm not muslim. I must say here that when I was young, i thot relaxing d hair is haram. In fact, I wasnt alone cos I can remember the christian children around joined us in seeing make up as bad. This was due to one thing- Ignorance.conservationism in any religion tends to frown on what they consider synthetic aids to beauty. |
the people interviewed said they consulted babalawos and alfas, yet for some reason your mind processed that information differently. |
