Food › Re: African Killer Bees And Food Production In Africa by tpiah: 1:25am On May 23, 2009
I think people may be rearing them quietly in some parts of Africa.

Not that I'm sure though.

In countries like the US, bees are big business and agriculture is heavily dependent on them.

Killer bees are more dangerous than ordinary bees.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Life Real, Or Just A Dream? What If This World Is Just An Illusion by tpiah: 11:58pm On May 22, 2009
nice thought, but unfortunately, the world is all too real.

Even if its a dream, its a very realistic one.

well, I've paid rent in lagos and I've paid rent abroad. The three years deposit and the monthly one with security deposit.

Whatever works, as far as I'm concerned.

The rent still gets collected anyway- its not like the landlords will be letting out flats for free.

Batubo

when were these photos taken?

I'm asking because people cant survive on a consistent diet of that kind of polluted water, for any length of time. Where do they get the regular water they use everyday from?

I believe steps are being taken towards eliminating the gas flaring though I'm not sure how much of it has been implemented.

If you have any current pictures of the gas flares, kindly post them so everyone can see if anything is really being done about this problem.

Batubo:
Some fight with GUNS for their rights and for their voices to be heard, yet some are still asking,' what exactly are they saying"? We wonder day and night if the government understands their plight while others wait and watch, others fight with their pens
the main point seems to be fight with whatever you've got.

No other option.

Seems to be a Nigerian trait not limited to the Niger Delta. Found elsewhere in Africa too though.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is It A Must To Close Your Eyes While Praying by tpiah: 2:42pm On May 22, 2009
mactao:
Closing your eyes is mostly to eliminate distractions. But I don't think you should feel guilty if your eyes are open when you're praying, except you're being seriously distracted by what you see. For example, I might be walking along a road and feel like saying a few words of prayer. Should I close my eyes? Definitely not. Is my prayer reaching God? Definitely.
true.
Romance › Re: Why Do They Keep Coming Back? by tpiah: 2:36pm On May 22, 2009

Dont be there in any other capacity besides as a friend, when they circle round and "come back" to you.

The phenomenon get name, in case you didnt know. Its called Okafor's law.
