Culture › Re: Yoruba Boys And Igbo Gals by tpiah: 4:52pm On Sep 03, 2010
^^name calling wont help you here.

it hasnt been my experience that yoruba women are dirtier than other tribes, therefore you wont see me on nl insisting they are.

why? simply because when I was growing up, my environment was clean. And I was surrounded by yorubas.

so you whose environment was filthy, can only choose to believe what you saw in your house and among your relations, not so? huh

accept the fact that you were raised dirty and let's move on, unless you'd rather not.

^^nah, i doubt it.

from your posts, it's quite obvious you're from a very dirty home.

I follow her freq to her hometown so I now what I am saying
in other words, your mother's hometown is a very dirty place.

how does this contradict what i said before, namely that you were raised dirty hence your generalizations.

if you grew up in a dirty environment where all your relatives on average, were dirty, then your comments are quite understandable

^^obviously, your mum is dirty hence the generalization.

if you grew up in a dirty environment where all your relatives on average, were dirty, then your comments are quite understandable.

Politics › Re: Nigeria Close To Population Disaster – British Council Raises Alarm by tpiah: 4:46am On Sep 03, 2010
Nigeria will have a ready supply of workers into the future with more than 40 per cent of the West African nation’s population younger than 14.

However, the oil-rich nation’s gross domestic product remained flat as its population multiplied in the last two decades, leaving it dangerously out of balance unless true economic development takes hold, the report said.

“Large cohorts of unemployed or underemployed young people destabilise their societies, fuelling crime and creating conditions where civil conflict becomes more likely,” it said. “Instead of collecting a dividend, a country that is not well prepared to make the most of its Baby Boom generation can find itself in the midst of a demographic disaster.”

To avoid that chaos, the report urges Nigeria’s government to step away from relying solely on its crude oil revenues and encourage investment in emerging industries like telecommunication and manufacturing.
well, cant argue with any of this.

nigeria does have a lot of youths who lack proper focus, and neither is the culture or society at large equipped to handle them besides calling for human shields while reviving old conflicts.

Drink purified or previously boiled water

Avoid getting cooked and uncooked food contaminated

if you have any of the Cholera symptoms take ORT (Oral re-hydration Therapy) and report to an hospital immediately as self-treatment may be dangerous lots of people died as a result of severe loss of fluid (electrolyte) within few hours of a cholera attack!
