Kobojunkie:
But, how do you decide how long temporary is going to be? In the case of my friend there, his temporary was almost 30 years. His old friends, some are still on the streets waiting for their temporary to end. Many turned to become agberos and drivers. How temporary should temporary be in the case you speak there? Last I checked, these people still do not have the POWER to decide how temporary their case ought to be . . they continue to struggle and struggle till they make it and then leave.
your friend lived in a slum for 30 years, and you still take issue with the suggestion that people move elsewhere if that's what it takes to improve their standard of living? huh

There was plenty of land back in the village but it did not belong to them and so he could not farm any of it. No one was really hiring and so he had to move so he could continue to survive. Are you saying he would still have been better off if he has moved back to the village?
your excuses are too convenient and tailored to skirt round fhemmy's question.

i think nigerian women have to try to start toning down their use of cosmetics. Makeup should enhance, not threaten.

sorry, not trying to knock anyone's sales, but we are on the way to becoming a laughing stock with the way things are going.

if we arent already.

@ dichana

calm down.

ok- she's beautiful and great photoshoot.

are you happy now?

If you follow her discussion on the Political section, you would fall in love with her arguments.
And from the way she talks, i blv she has lived thru some nasty govt in Nigeria.
kobojunkie isnt new to nl, so most people are familiar with his mode of debate, which is pick an argument and stick with it regardless if it's sensible or not.

isnt this the same person who claimed there was no racism in alabama and by extension, the US, because s/he lived in alabama for a couple of months and only met nice people there.

therefore all racism claims of the past, present and future, must be lies told to sully people's good reputation.

^^mainly theories about how to run nigeria- nothing much experience-wise.

also, expressing outrage over photos of slums, gutters and public toilets doesnt necessarily translate to a knowledge of nigeria.
