Katsumoto:
I meant outside of oyo state. Progressives from Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos have tended to avoid the Oyo politicians who tend to always align with the North. Try mentioning Adedibu, Akinloye, Akinjide, Arisekola anywhere outside Oyo and you will get a negative reaction.
well maybe- i'm not sure.

Politics › Re: Fasola To Swell Igbo Rank In Cabinet-long Overdue Good, 50% Of Lagos Is Igbo by tpiah: 9:42pm On Jul 31, 2010
IGNORANCE:

Herbert Macaulay was not a Yoruba. He was of Sierra Leone Creole descent. Do not peddle such lies. He was just raised in Lagos. It is like calling an Igbo raised in Lagos a Yoruba
FACT:

Macaulay was born in Lagos on November 14, 1864 to Sierra Leone Creole parents. He was the grandson of bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther and the son of the founder of the first secondary school in Nigeria
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Macaulay

Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther (c. 1809 – 31 December 1891) was a linguist and the first African Anglican bishop in Nigeria. Born in Osogun(in today's Iseyin Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria).

Ajayi was 12 years old when he was captured, along with his mother and toddler brother and other family members, along with his entire village, by Muslim Fulani slave raiders in 1821 and sold to Portuguese slave traders. Before leaving port, his ship was boarded by a Royal Navy ship under the command of Captain Henry Leeke, and Crowther was taken to Freetown, Sierra Leone and released.

Crowther was recalled to England, where he was trained as a minister and ordained by the bishop of London. He returned to Africa in 1843 and with Henry Townsend, opened a mission in Abeokuta, in today's Ogun State, Nigeria.

Little wonder why Akintola, Akinjide, Akinloye, Adedibu are hated in the West
rather a general statement.

i'd say maybe hated by some factions in the west.

adedibu for example [doesnt mean i'm a fan of his]- the whole of ibadan almost shut down for his funeral.

That was also the genesis of Oyo politicians always teaming up with Northerners in subsequent elections
i doubt it's a new thing, going by the kwara example.

but maybe in that time frame sha, you could be right.
Romance › Re: Buying Condoms? How Embarrassing by tpiah: 2:55pm On Jul 31, 2010
when i just got married in 2004, didnt have much knowledge on contraceptives and we werent planning on having babies immediately either. I walked into a pharmacy at Asokoro to get some condoms. They had all sorts from Gold Circle to what nots. The lady at the counter seemed embarrassed that i was asking for condoms but i was more than happy to flash my double rings in her face, Then a man, i believe was the manager walked upto me and began to describe the differences. eventually i opted for the one he recommended was better. I got home and told my hubby, never to allow me go shopping for condoms again.
haha

if the man is firmly grounded [ie a good husband], nothing wrong with him taking care of the kids instead of leaving them with a childminder.

he can just work from home or something, if people are starting to gossip.

I dint know wat section to post this, so mod use your discretion.
There's this girl i met at a computer school in abj here where we both take programming lessons.
I liked her and we got talking. We became close. I made out i was a courageous guy (which i think i am, and a trait she liked)and i'd planned to take it a step further. On friday i left the computer school to deliver a message and could not make it back in time before they closed so i asked her to take my laptop to her house from where i'd collect it.
I went there yesterday (sat) and on reaching there went in through the gate. There was no one in sight. I was about making my way round the house when i got the shock of my life!!
At first i thought it was a lion, then i realised it was a dog!!! shocked shocked

Without wasting time (i was not thinking again) i went down on my knees and raised my hands.
The dog just came and was looking at me, head cocked to one side as if "who and wat is wrong with this foolish boy". My mouth was dry. Even if it was not, i wont have dared uttered a word.
We were in this look-me-i-look-you position for almost a minute

(the longest in my life)
Then i heard sound of laughing behind me, and looked around to see a woman who later turned out to be the girls mother. She told me to get up and called the dog to her.
I told her my mission, and her younger brother who later came out gave me the laptop as his sister had gone to make her hair.
The mother was trying her best not to laugh some more, and i felt really ashamed.
She (the girl) has been calling me, but i havent had the nerve to pick.
Wallahi, my runs don scuttle be that. I no fit yarn this girl again because of one silly dog, abi anything spoil sad
