eko(Lagos island) is historical but I like benin city more.

That being said I think the first building in Nigeria would probably be in the North due to the arab influenced culture.

The Arabs/Muslims were light years ahead of everyone in many ways- No lie
^^bros, check arab architecture for any evidence of storey buildings.

the north is araboid, not so? huh

the scholars of olden days were actually way more intelligent and educated [in the real sense] than what obtains today where every typist claims to have a phd.

they also did more legwork and actually knew what they were talking about, unlike 99% of most people here.

^^am i missing something? huh

bell pepper is extremely common all over nigeria. It's called tatase and most people dont cook stew without it. Sometimes it's even used as a substitute for tomatoes.

Seriously, I will have what you are smoking.

My experience was based on people I know from naija. My post was made in a forum frequent by naijans.   .   . You get the idea? huh

If my friends can give out my contacts, if it is something I have observed here and people have pointed out the same, surely there must be a problem somewhere? Perhaps with our culture? No? Or is it coincidence that these friends are the ones in naija?

Also, can you tell me what law Nigeria have when it comes to privacy matter? smiley

Dude you are missing the point, and trying to move the goal post.
you're so s.tupid.

and please stop disturbing the forum with your daft matter.

only a goat gives out his /her personal info then starts useless threads complaining his/her "friends" did blah blah blah.

face it- you're a bleeping goat.

Apparently, you're here to do some cheap PR for Nigeria's dirty and overpriced run-off-the-mill guest shanties that you call hotel! I don't expect a paid PR agent like you to make any sense of a simple statement that you consider daft cos you're too dumb and blind to see.

My point, is that unlike in Nigeria where most hotels are occupied by local looters, thieves and their hangers-on, who naturally bring their convoy of exotic to those hotels, elsewhere the reverse is the case. I've no time for a detailed response right now but you try visiting anyother country other than Nigeria and check into their hotels.

I repeat that the shanties that go for hotels in Nigeria are too over-priced and that in some decent societies, some of them will be considered unfit for human habitation.
^^ name call all you want!

must people stay at ajegunle to please you?

na you sabi your fellow looters, armed robbers and whatever who you meet at specific hotels for naija!

if you never met anyone who got rich through their own honest sweat that's your own wahala!

werent you the one making some daft comparisons about parking lots?

to hear some of you talk, one would think nobody ever experienced bad hotels outside nigeria before?

Romance › Re: Are White Guys More Romantic Than Black Guys? by tpiah: 6:04pm On Jun 25, 2010
^^ i was giving you an example that contradicts your post here:

To a black woman, Romance means how much you have in your pocket or spend The moment your wallet is lean then you see drama and pointing in your face all confrontational, might even break your car windshield just because she cant get money to do her nails. unlike the white women
the lady concerned didnt fit your profiling and you still dey argue?

many more like her in nigeria, btw.

no one is querying if he's right or wrong.

mko abiola is another example. His first wife married him when he had absolutely nothing.

btw, many of you build your relationships on money alone, so why complain when your girlfriends only see you as a walking bank?

dont let me whoze u from here o grin

i cant remember telling u im FFO

u need to check out one of the restaurants in Transcorp
thats what they call food abeg
american portions are typically bigger than even european ones.

and naija portions are even smaller than that.

anyway, i tend to eat mainly naija food when i'm in naija, so i better defer to you on this matter.

Travel › Re: Are Nigerian Hotels And Guest Houses Over-priced? by tpiah: 5:49pm On Jun 25, 2010
the food was boring (breakfast)
true, because the portions seem a bit smaller than what obtains in the western world.

and the food is foreign, not naija.

Southern sun is nice tho

Sofitel Ikoyi?

see, my point is, some of these bouquet hotels are way over priced

do u know how much it is to sleep in Sofitel?
like 40k per night?

thats like $260 shocked shocked shocked
crazy
well, you may have more experience with four star nigerian hotels than me, but i doubt a hotel is overpriced if it delivers top notch service.

i agree customer service in nigeria leaves much to be desired, but anyone who knows a way to improve the situation, should share his/her ideals with us. I'm all ears.

$260 per night isnt too much if you can afford it, imo. Pricey, yes, i agree. The service just has to be classy.

A featured hotel is African garden lodge, lagos. As you can see if you bother to read through, various people left their reviews, and in this case, the manager personally responded.

@ tkb417

stop getting your knickers in a twist.

i'm talking about a pattern here which most of you find it impossible to see.

later now we'll start hearing all kinds of yarns about how na only white women fit take care of you black males.

if white men in general had the same attitude to their women as you do to yours, would your white flames know how to show their softer side?

i dont support the killing of the official, but since majority of you here consider it a good thing, i'm not going to waste any words on that.
