When you see people who look like you phenotypically but it's hard to identify with them.

Many Nigerians have this quandary where they are too scared to associate with their hometowns, mostly for well justified caution.

Then too, after emigrating, sometimes you don't really identify with an original hometown so much because you never lived there and it's somewhat unfamiliar to you as an internal diasporan indigene.
